I dont do many chain type restaurants in the city but when you are in suburbia it seems like that is all there is. BoneFish is a popular restaurant in the neighborhood so we decided to try it. 6pm - Saturday night and it was packed. There was a line of people waiting. We were given one of those square blinking lights gadget standard with a lot of the chain restaurants. It was nice they had servers going around with tasting while the people waited. Nice touch. 6:45pm- Gadget lights up. The hostess said it would just take a few minutes as our table was getting ready. 7:00pm - Seated and a very friendly server went through the menu with us. We started with the Cerviche and Singapore Calamari. I would have to say the cerviche had a nice tartness and was pretty good. The calamari was a bit over fried and I didnt really like the sweet dipping sauce that came with it. 7:30pm - The entrees came out, the Fish and Chips, the grilled scallops and shrimp and grilled Grouper. All the seafood that came out seem fresh. The sauces that were recommended to try was also okay. I dont know if it really added any flavor to the dishes. Ive had better Fish & Chips. Everything was cooked nicely and it tasted perfectly fine. It tasted like a chain restaurant pumping out food. The standards were good but not very exciting. It wasnt a bad meal but then it wasnt a memorable meal. 8:30pm - We decided to skip desert and asked for the bill. 8:45pm - Out the door. While the service was exemplary and the food fresh but middling. It follows the tried and true formula of chain restaurants. Consistent food and service but what it lacks is the depth.

Wife and I were in the mood for seafood and we had a coupon to get an entree free with the purchase of an entree. While weve been to the Centreville location several times, this was our first visit to the Fairfax one. Everything was delicious! We ordered a watermelon martini (for the wife) and it was actually really good! If Im going to drink a foo-foo drink, I at least want to taste the advertised fruit instead of pure sugar, and this drink was a perfect blend of watermelon with a slight hint of alcohol. The fresh baked bread is amazing. Crisp on the outside, warm and soft on the inside...talk about self control to not eat everything in one gulp! We ordered the sashimi appetizer and were pleasantly surprised with the size of the dish. It was a great plate of tuna, greens and siracha drizzle. My wife ordered the scallops and I ordered the crusted haddock. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, flavorful and filling. The thing I appreciate is that there are plenty of wild caught fish to choose from with only a couple fish being farm raised. There arent many places that offer such a wide variety of seafood choices, and the fact that Bonefish is aware of how much better wild caught fish is makes me have it at the top of my seafood list!

On a Friday night at 6:40 pm the wait time was supposed to be 25 minutes but it turned to 50 minutes based on my phone timer ! Fish and chips is excellent and steak was Delish. They forgot our bang bang shrimp. Ugh. Food is good otherwise. Taking a star off as the service today, SUCs. The server took forever to get here, she knows nothing about the menu and when we told her we wanted the martini special that was emailed to us she said it was not available. Then I showed her the email I had received and it became available. There were four of us. We had a bread and appetizer to start while we decided on the menu. Then the bread was all gone we had to ask 3 times for another loaf and was told t is still in the oven. Food showed up one at a time. But good is good as always. Watermelon martini SUCs do not order!!! There were bones in my salmon

For good food and fun times, this is the place to go. We go back here quite often because of the service provided. If you want to learn how to treat your customers, come here and learn from their staff. From the front of the house to the back of the house, superb customer service and good food. Waiters, servers and runners were all courteous and attentive to our every need, not overbearing, but displayed a very appreciative attitude for us being there. The manager will ALWAYS stop by your table (at least every time we went there for dinner) and ALWAYS made sure that everything was good. One time we asked to make sure that the portion size was correct. He mentioned that it was and he still apologized! However, without asking, next thing you know, he came out with another portion for us to eat. Who does that?!? Thank you Bonefish staff!

First time trying out Bonefish Grill. Over all the experience was pretty good. When walking into the restaurant my group was greeted by friendly staff and the server we had was pleasent and fun. The Bang bang shrimp was great, the fish tacos were very delicious and the grouper ( fish of the day) was nicely grilled and tasted good. Few complaints. We were asked if we liked some bread and never got received it after saying yes. also found it odd that they only offer a dinner service starting 4pm, its located in a fairly busy area I could see it being open for a lunch.

We recently had dinner here around 6 PM on a Saturday. The place was nearly full when we arrived and there was a wait when we left. The service was attentive but not very friendly. The Bang Bang Shrimp and steak were both great, the Lime Tomato Garlic Sauce was delicious, the swordfish was good, the broccoli was plain, and the green beans were awful. The bill for us was much higher than most nights out. We didnt feel that the overall quality of the experience deserved the cost premium.

Everything is about what you would expect from somewhere like this, well made, decently priced; the bread and oil is definitely something to come back to. I seem to be in the minority here but the Bang Bang Shrimp is good but maybe a little less bang for your buck than its hype (okay, I just couldnt resist). Overall though, this restaurant is sort of a staple for my family when we go out and has a great location to boot.

So this place had the famous bang bang shrimp but found hair in it. Glasses were moldy and there was foil shards in the food of my fiance food that we ordered. I was not sure how to react that time buti did complain to them and asked, if someone eats foil what happens to them? They were speechless. I was as well. Cant believe this happened all during a family event. I was very. Frustrated.

Hailing from the same family as Arties, Mikes and SweetWater (to name a few), this well thought out chain does not disapoint the other American Cuisine Icons. The atmosphere is upscale, yet relaxed. The staff is both extremely personable and extremely efficient. The food is fresh, delish, and quinticentially American. And the best part, its completely afordable!

Great inviting environment, great service, and great food. I have been coming here for years. Anytime I have relatives or visitors its my go to for a good time with good company. Bang Bang shrimp is a must have for an appetizer; at least once. Definitely like the Chantilly location versus others I have visited in the area. Chantilly has a warm environment.
