I wasnt happy with the servers, when the college kids work they at least smile and have pleasant attitudes. And try to always make sure you are good at all times. I seen and heard other costumers complain that they waiter wouldnt take their plates away and so they left of bad service. And our waitress seemed as if she didnt like her job. Spilled on our table and we had other costumers food left on our booth seats and the table was sticky and food near our feet. Not very clean and poor attitudes in service. Bring back the kids. My age group doesnt want to work. It seems like that. I spend 45 on 3 people to enjoy a meal at least you would have thought we would have enjoyed it? No we didnt. Neither did the people around us. If you have a job with Wood-grill please be happy and treat guest with respect. They are the ones that tip you?

I am from Hampton, VA, here for wedding and was in search of a different place to eat. Well I found it in Wood Grill Buffet. The atsmosphere was good, seating was accessible, and the food was to die for. I have never seen a buffet that size in my life. The choices were too many to count and the quality of the food was outstanding. I only ate one plate, but was very pleased to have many options. They have everything from seafood, to chinese, mexican, ameriican and all in between. Cant say enough great things about this place. If in town, please check it out. You will not be diasppointed. Probably will not be coming back to this area, but if by chance I do, it will be the one main place on my itinerary to bring everybody I know. Everyone will be pleased and satisfied tenfold. Check it out.

Buffets are not for everyone, but for those of us who enjoy them Wood Grill is by far the best Ive seen. Its a definite step upward. No exotic "atmosphere", just wonderful food and good service. Mostly delicious American comfort foods, with a smattering of very nice Hispanic and Asian dishes. Extremely wide variety of foods, well prepared, really tasty, something for every taste. Clean and pleasant, reasonably priced at $13-ish dinner buffet including drink and tax. Lower prices for also excellent lunch/breakfast buffets. I eat there frequently and have always been pleased. Sometimes a short wait at busiest times in the college towns of Harrisonburg, VA and Charlottesville, VA, but never very long. My only complaint is that I eat too much !

One of my favorite guilty pleasures when visiting the Harrisonburg area. If I know in advance that were stopping by Wood Grill Buffet, I try to avoid eating for at least 12 hours prior in preparation for the GLUT of hot, cold and dessert food choices that the restaurant provides you with. Sure, its got that throwback Bonanza/Ponderosa Steakhouse feel to it, but its clean and the wait staff is top notch welcoming and always super friendly...such a refreshing change from Northern Virginia. Usually a wait at meal times, so be prepared for that...but its worth the wait every time.

This was a mere step above golden corral. The service was good, no complaints there, but the food was just OK. My biggest complaint was that the management didnt care nor did they seem interested in taking the time to post the correct titles over the dishes. Out of all the food in the restaurant I could count maybe 9 things that were actually correctly labeled. I would choose this place over golden corral, but only by a slim margin.

Wife`s Favorite! If I am in the doghouse offering a trip here might even get me lucky that night. The chicken salad is just another food bar offering but for me AHHHH! My wife makes a salad that looks more like a banana split, daughter loves the roast prime and the shrimp are mutant giants by other "all u can " type of franchisees. You will not be disappointed. I should mention this restaurant is 60 miles from my home.

The food is of average quality, but their chocolate fountain is the dream of any sweet tooth. The rustic-but-still-modern design is appealing. The staff is attentive, but impersonal. The buffet options as well as desert options are extensive. It is very accommodating to large groups. Call in reservations because it is crowded on most days. Very nice for birthdays due to its accommodation to every taste.

This restaurant, so far & weve been to a lot, is the cleanest, has the best food, the food is always kept full & fresh, the staff is very friendly & no questions go unanswered! We highly recommend! While in the area for a week, we ate here 4 times, tried each meal ~ breakfast, lunch & dinner ~ and was not disappointed, no matter the time! You gotta try it if you havent already!

This is by far the best buffet Ive ever been to while traveling I wish we had one of these my way in Ohio. Although this place stays busy they get you in there as soon as possible food is always fresh looks good never drive looking or sitting under lights too long the service is great I would highly recommend this place and like I said I wish we had one here in Northern Ohio

My husband and I love the Wood Grill. When we come into town, first stop used to be Golden Coral. Since we found the Wood Grill, we never go to Golden Coral (sorry Golden Coral). Wood Grill has you beat for cleanliness, variety & the trays are always full. Whenever anyone visits Harrisonburg we tell them "you have to go to the Wood Grill!"

Cant beat this place for food. It pretty much has everything you could want to eat. We eat here once every few months for dinner and breakfast. Prices are very reasonable. Food is decent, wait staff are nice and friendly, and the place is clean. The only downside to eating here is that I eat so much Im miserable when I leave!!

This place is amazing. The only way I can describe it is to compare to Golden Corral, but minus the Wal-Mart factor. The food quality and establishment upkeep is much higher. I seriously make it a point to come here multiple times when visiting family here in VA. Now if only we could get one on the east coast of MA... :-)

This place is AWESOME!!! Im from new York, on vacation, and this is a great place to go. It is not expensive for the all you can eat buffet. Theres a whole line of meat!!!! The desserts are great! There also a chocolate fountain, and ice cream with a whole lot of toppings. Make it a go to place it youre in Harrisonburg!

Good food - our waiter was very attentive to are drinks, and they should because the drinks are expensive! Have very good choice of food in fact if you or your family cant find something here you like to eat you wont find any restaurant with this many choices and you probably shouldnt never eat out...... :-)

This place is delicious. We found it many years ago and finally stopped by to try it again. Just as good today as it was then and the service was excellent. Shelby was spunky and energetic and served us with a big smile. We live out of state, but is definitely worth stopping at on your way through.
