This is a Firehouse Subs... a chain shop that we think provides one of the freshest sub or salad offerings available. As compared to other sub shops, this place is not cheap but you do seem to get what you pay for. Crisp, fresh salad and trimmings with good dressings, and fresh bread on the subs with plenty of stuff packed inside. The only opportunity we note about this particular location is that they seem under-staffed whenever we go there. That said, we go there during what is probably Friday night, Saturday lunch and Sunday "rush hours" for such a business, and I bet it is fairly quiet at most other times... so the owner probably has a tough staffing-level decision to make (maybe he or she should pitch in during high volume times). This location does not lend itself to much walk-in traffic as it is in a strip mall location that people really only go to as a destination. If going to go to this Firehouse, you preplan that trip -- so we hope that it survives. Good fresh food. Nice staff. Clean facility (usually). Moderate sized strip-mall style parking lot.

Walked in with both employees sitting down on their phones eating and listening to music ,was not even greeted when I asked the cashier after he walked slowly to the register how his day was he didnt even respond he just looked at me like my wife and I were an inconvenience . After a few awkward seconds I just started ordering my food as it did not even appear that he had the ability to speak or even communicate. The entire time we felt as if we were in the way. This is at 4 p.m. mind you not right before closing. As we were eating another couple came in as they were sitting down again and you can see the female employee rolling her eyes as she sauntered towards the cash register not even welcoming them in. We often visit the short pump location off Broad Street but this one is near our gym so we came in after a workout we will never come back worst service ever. I never have eaten a sandwich so fast.

Its not worth to paid small size cheese steak bread $5.25 just only little bread and steak,.. No cheese, and vegetables what ive asked for ... You can spend $5.25 at subway is worthy . You should check everything before you pay .. Suck firehouse in VCC .. NEVER GO BACK.

Great quality food, fast friendly service. They were very busy in the middle of the lunch rush, yet they were still friendly and accommodating. I was in and out, eating my sandwich in less than 5 minutes!

Their subs are tiny in comparison to any other location, and my beef and cheddar brisket had nearly NO BBQ sauce, cheese or mayo on it. Even though my company paid for it, I want a a refund.
