This makes me sad. Weve been patrons of Kybecca for several years. We have always found the food creative and delicious. I stopped eating flesh a few months ago. My wife still indulges. Weve eaten at the restaurant twice before since I eliminated meat. Both times the veggie entree was passable, but not special. I was slightly disappointed, but not at all willing to give up. During Restaurant Week my wife and I invited another Vegetarian to join us for dinner. My wifes shrimp and grits was up to Kybeccas standards. Not so for us non-fleshers. We had the Mushroom Truffle Boudin. It was simply awful. A limp two inch wide strip of portobello mushroom with tasteless bean ragout, snow peas, and - waaay closer to raw than al dente - root vegetables, with a piddly squirt of vegetable demi glace .The mushroom was not only limp, it was mushy and barely seasoned.. The only Vegetarian entree selection for Restaurant Week seemed like it was thrown together as an afterthought. Yes, I should have brought it to the attention of the excellent waiter, but I was embarrassed for our friend to whom we had raved about the meal she was about to experience. I should mention we were already slightly put off by the host who greeted us when there was only one table in the entire restaurant occupied. He barely looked up from his reservation book to say "Reservations?," in a tone within hailing distance of being supercilious. After a few moments of obviously negative murmurs and fumbling he said that he could seat us, not in the empty restaurant main room, but up in a corner beyond the bar. When I requested a table in the main seating area he informed me they were all accounted for. (When we left Kybecca 3/4 of the main dining room was still empty.) Not only has Kybecca lost two fairly regular customers, but our friend and her husband will never try Kybecca again. And she will be repeating her bad experience to anyone who asks. I think the time when Vegetarian Cuisine can be ignored or not given attention equal to that served to Flesh Eaters is over. I hope that Kybecca attends to this new reality before what has been an excellent eatery becomes a victim of its own anachronistic behavior.

This past Saturday we had our wedding at Kybecca. Ashley was incredibly helpful with the planning process and was there bright and early the morning of the wedding to help us with the setup (we needed to put out favors, hang some decorations and setup a photo booth). We were presented with options at different price points and ended up selecting a brunch menu that was both passed and stationary and opted for an open bar. Our event had 100 people and the space never felt crowded or unequipped for the large number of people. In fact we had our ceremony in the archway between the two rooms and were able to fit all 100 people comfortably on the kitchen side to watch. A quick note on the location- this restaurant is beautiful and looked fantastic as the backdrop for our photos. As soon as the ceremony ended, the helpful waitstaff started bringing food out. Wade, the head chef, did an amazing job with the food. Its hard to choose a favorite, but if I was forced to Id say the avocado egg rolls and shrimp and grits. We were sad there werent more leftovers to enjoy at home, but were happy that our guests loved the food so much that they ate it all. I think the crowd favorite was the candied bacon- it went fast! Matt created a signature cocktail for us and offered beer on tap, as well as bellinis, mimosas and wine. The bar was able to handle the large crowd and stayed on top of things. We opted to have the bar open before the ceremony which I think also helped with crowd control. I would definitely hold another event at Kybecca. I couldnt have asked for a better, easier, and more laid back wedding experience. Kybecca took the stress out of the planning and executing, which allowed us to sit back and enjoy the company and the day. Thank you Rebecca, Ashley, Matt, Wade, and all of the staff that made our special day possible..

Dine here and do so often - but do so with the intention of lingering, enjoying, experiencing... Atmosphere: Avant-garde, perhaps even bohemian (these are good things - look em up) Sodas: Old School (if you can find it at 7-11 or Wawa, you will NOT find it here) Coffee: Superior (coffee press) Liquor and Liqueurs: Higher end rail and call - unique, diverse, but not extensive Beer: Good selection of craft/artisan/seldom-seen tap and bottle brews Wine: They have a broad assortment on the menu and in their dispensing system, but they often also have exquisite wines, not on the menu, that the knowledgeable staff would love to tell you about I mentioned all of the beverages before the food because if you like your food and drink served in the same sentence, this is not your kind of place! The food is memorable, unique and exceptional. The Chef is gifted and committed to sustainable farm-to-table fresh preparations that make you want to visit again and again to see what hes come up with this week. Ive had many "firsts" at Kybecca and I could not begin to detail them all. Suffice it to say that, Chef Wade uses ingredients that you may never have heard of in ways that make you want to high-five your server and get a kitchen tour just to meet this guy. Appetizers... Brilliant Entrees... Extraordinary Desserts... My wife does not eat sweets and she wont let me get two - which is too bad, because these made-in-house slices of wonderful are not to be missed Brunch... Well worth doing Service... Attentive without being intrusive Prices... Moderate Portions... Ample

This place is in a nice location, and has a wonderful interior. Food was decent, if a bit on the pricey side. I would overlook the price if not for the terrible service we received. We went one evening with a party of eight. Our waiter was ever present - chatting up the young ladies at the end of the table. But when it came to us, he felt that service was optional. After we received the bill, I noted that he had given himself a 22% tip! Obviously, we had a large party, and an automatic tip seems to be policy for many restaurants. However, I felt that the waiters behavior showed inceredible chutzpa and he was clearly aware that he was going to receive a princely tip for doing nothing. To make a long story short, he didnt get his 22%.

A wonderful menu with rich selections of seafood and fresh ingredients. the lobster spring rolls are amazing, be sure to ask for more aioli with the order, it makes the spring rolls pop! We had the chicken and mussels entree, both seasoned perfectly and served with great wine pairing as recommended by our server. The restaurant has a modern feel, although the high tables look to be uncomfortable if you plan on spending an extended dinner there. The bar is small and cozy and does get packed with locals later in the evening. Service can be slow at times, I believe it has more to do with where you are seated than the servers themselves. If your in the upper dining room and your server has tables in main as well, it will be slow.

Originally a dedicated wine shop with a well-chosen selection, then partially converting to a cozy tasting room & bistro, and now becoming a true restaurant throughout, kybecca has remained a tasteful & inviting place. The staff has always been knowledgeable and top-notch, the food & drink thoughtfully chosen & paired, and the atmosphere very stylish yet cozy & comfortable. Though the shop and enomatic tasting area are gone, the appreciation for great wine is still obvious. The food is small-plate but amazing, so its a perfect date-night spot but also a place we love to stop by when were just walking the burg.
