Really nice Cafe. Ive been here twice for breakfast and have truly enjoyed it. I order an egg, tomato and spinach sandwich on a croissant. So fresh! The croissant has a flakey, buttery taste just like it should. To drink Ive had a Chai Latte with soy; I loved it. It had a kick of spice just like I expected it to. Ive also ordered a regular latte with soy. It came out with a shot glass that has what taste like seltzer water to help cleanse the palate in between sips of your latte. That way you always get the full flavor of your latte. So fancy! At least to me it was.

SIX stars! Oops, Google allows only 5. Thanks, Cafe Kindred, for being a super place for a friend and me to chat. You all were very kind and hospitable. The cappuchino was beautifully presented and the fresh-baked nutella croissant...crazy-delicious! The atmosphere is an eclectic and refreshing change from other coffee shops. Unlike another reviewer who should be ignored, I appreciate the no-laptops-at-certain-times policy. If people dont like it, they can go elsewhere and respect the shops "unplugged" atmosphere. Definitely want to visit again! Thank you all!

Great vibe and a lively place to meet friends -- in my case, a moms group with our little ones. We were a large gaggle of probably 12-15 moms but they were pretty understanding (although likely cursing us after we left trails of crushed goldfish crackers behind.) The beverages and baked goods taste fantastic, and staff will bring your order out to your table. I found the posted "no laptops" signs kind of bizarre, and staff cant manage to smile, but service has nevertheless been courteous both times I have stopped by.

Im so happy to have found this wonderful independent coffee shop, something this area was sorely lacking! The staff is super friendly, and the customer service is excellent. They have a nice food selection, including gluten-free and dairy-free options. And their soups are consistently the best I have had since moving to this area 10 years ago. I have worked their during the week, it is also my go-to place for weekend brunch or lunch. I cant say enough good things about Cafe Kindred!

This is the best place in the world and I LOVE the No Laptops on the weekend. This is a fun family friendly social place that serves amazing coffee, breakfast and lunch. If you want wifi go some place else. This is for great get together and meeting new friends face to face. This is a jewel in a barren landscape of eating establishments. I am so thankful for the hard working business owners who haveadequate such a difference in our local community.

I love the food, I love the coffee, I love that they have a play area for the kids, I love the vibe...one HUGE PROBLEM. The music is way too loud. I tried to work on my laptop and couldnt hear myself think. I tried to meet up with a friend and we had to yell at each other to hear each other. This place would be perfect, if they just turned the music down. Its hard rock, too, which is really hard to think through when blasting in your ear.

I met up with my girlfriend and she wanted coffee. I however had coffee from a company meeting so I already had a small espresso in hand (from Starbucks). I paid for my girlfriends drink then sat down to catch up. Shortly after, the owner and cashier started giving me grief about my drink that wasnt bought from the cafe. I genuinely ment no harm and this experience seriously turned me off. Cafe kindred, you lost a paying customer.

Great place! High quality cup of coffee, friendly staff, and awesome atmosphere. If you enjoy classic rock, just browse their vinyl collection for a bit or otherwise just hang out and enjoy. They hooked me up with a nice breakfast and I got some work done on a casual Friday morning with a bit of friendly conversation in between with the couple of people running the place. Ill be back for sure

This place rocks. The food and drinks are good, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is warm and unique, and there are lots of outlets for us writers, students, etc. There are even toys for kids, and theres a good amount of free parking around back in the garage. Downsides: the outdoor seating overlooks a loud, busy road; and the Internet connection was very spotty.

They do not allow laptops on weekends, thus discriminating against teachers and professors (who grade papers), writers, and people with side hustles and who prefer to work in coffee shops. This information is not on the Google page, so you will drive many miles only to be rejected. (It is, however, on their website.)

A little pricey for the quality. The baked goods and treats are pretty good, but the lunch sandwiches leave a lot to be desired. I didnt try the coffee. If I lived in one of the surrounding apartment/condo buildings, I might go back out of convenience, but not particularly worth a dedicated trip from further away.

Decent coffee, good food, friendly staff. Ridiculous policy of no laptops on weekends? Dont be a person with things to do. If you want to sit with friends or family and drink coffee, this is a great spot. If you have anything you actually need to accomplish, make sure you dont need an evil laptop.

Worst customer service experience ever. Less than 5% of the seats taken and I was told - in a coffee shop? - that my laptop was not allowed. Not that I was there too long mind you. I had just walked in. Then when I expressed my frustration I was told never to come back. Lovely.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, great soundtrack. Turkey Avocado BLT is pretty good too. Dont treat it like a Starbucks, its a local independent shop. I ordered a sandwich and brought my laptop in on a weekday for a couple hours- no problem. Look forward to going back

Sorry we waited so long to come here! Our 2 kids were entertained by the books, trains, and blocks. My husband ate every bite of his burger and fries, and I enjoyed the cobb salad. The service was quick and friendly. Cant wait to go back!

Just discovered this great local cafe and bar. Great service, drinks and food. FYI there is free parking in a covered garage in back. One garage entrance is a few doors down from the front door of the cafe. We will definitely be regulars!

This joint is a gem. Visited to hear a friends band. Service was outstanding, food was solid, coffee was from the Vigilante roastery just down the street from my house... I wish I could pick it up and drop it in my town. Fantastic!

Excellent lattes, but the staff is pretty pushy about the "no laptops on weekends" (or after 5 p.m.) rule, and gave me grief when I sat alone at a 4-person table to use an outlet though the place was less than a third full.

Delicous tomato and mozzarella sanwich, good coffee (waiting for the latte machine to arrive, though!). Love the music and general ambience and the free wi fi! So glad to have a new coffee shop in Falls Church!
