Just had a fabulous experience at the Greene Turtle Mt. Airys outdoor back deck bar. Managers Joe, Chris B., & Chris H. closed it off for my private surprise birthday party for my wife. The atmosphere back there is unmatched with something for everyone. Darts, Ping Pong, and Corn Hole definitely kept folks entertained. Plenty of seating for my group of 45 family members and friends. A buffet of appetizers, plenty of TVs, and ceiling fans added to the enjoyment of our experience. The managers were more than willing to work with us allowing time for decorating and adding extra food platters right away when requested. They let us bring a sheet cake in and kept it refrigerated until right moment. To top it all off, the managers arrange for us to have 2 of their top bartenders taking care of us. Maggie and Devin were truly spectacular. They genuinely seemed to be enjoying the evening by taking the time to talk with folks as they prepared their drinks and they always had pleasant smiles on their faces. They were truly just a joy to be around. Most of the folks in our group never knew the outdoor back deck at the Greene Turtle in Mt. Airy was so nice and big back there, but they do now, and many plan to return. It was the perfect place for our unforgettable party. Thank you all for an incredible time!

The service was fairly decent,atmosphere was acceptable.Menu was not vast but i could not make a decision on the course of meal,everything looked so damn tasty and had ingredients to my liking. The food ended up tasty as portrayed in picture.The only downfall was the chili though, tasted like it was a no frills canned,way too much chili powder added(not recommended).Price vs quality was unacceptable but ultimately worth paying the extra.The bathroom,I was somewhat impressed,why would I say this? Because while I was in there,an individual was emptying his bowels(yeah,cant get that horrible sound out of my head) something fierce and it was covered by a cinnamon scent(time release spray?)which otherwise would have destroyed my appetite. Not a wiff of deification,was also clean and stocked. Location was prime and not congested.Spacious and clean in dining areas..I would go there again.

This was poor experience. First upon arrival we asked for a table and told they did not have any available but when entering the whole place except for two booths were empty. The restaurant was not very busy however service was not good. We asked for drink refills which we never got, ordered soup as an appetizer which also never came, and the ketchup at our table and the surrounding ones which we tried to borrow from were all empty. Our waitress never came back after giving us our food so we couldnt ask for what was needed. My son had mac and cheese as a side that was completelyfrozen in the middle. The bathrooms were disgusting with big wet puddles and toilet paper wads all over the womens room. We used to stop often when we came throughon travel but will not be returning.

I can honestly say pay attention to the reviews! I found this place because we were looking to eat something good. I saw the reviews and saw good and bad. Decided to go find out for myself but once again the ratings dont lie. The food is so basic and plain. I almost feel like the person in the kitchen just throwing stuff around and putting them on plates. I ordered 5 different plates for my family of 5 I can honestly say none of them were impressing. The worse plate we got was the appetizer chips and dip. The chips were wayyy to salty couldnt even eat them. All I felt I chewed on was salt. Overall the place seemed nice to hang out the were friendly but the food needs some improvement. I believe we should get what we pay for and we definitely didnt get that here.

The food has always been below par - last 2 trips Id say its reached AWFUL stage, in fact inedible. Last Friday night I took my mother here for dinner. We both ordered wine and we were carded. Shes 81 and Im 49. Manager said it was corporate policy and the waiter could have been fired if he didnt ask for ID. I recommend the corporation spend a little less time developing idiotic "policy" and more time developing good food options. Seriously even Pizza Hut is better than this place.

RAW chicken wings, paid full price , got sick, spent 1.5 days living in the bathroom, missed work, and the GM MR. JAY GREENE SENT A $25 GIFT CARD , that didnt even cover half the bill. THE ONLY THING GREEN AT THE TURTLE WAS ME!!! DONT EXPECT THE INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT TO FULLY TAKE CARE OF ANY SITUATION. THEY CAN TAKE THAT $25 GIFT CARD AND STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DOESNT SHINE, THEN MR. JAY GREENE YOU WILL FEEL THE WAY I DO! MAYBE THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT WILL LIKE THIS INFO!!!

My wife, daughter and I were in for dinner tonight and our server was Troy. We frequently go out to dinner and Troy, by far, is one of the best servers we have ever had. He was genuinely friendly, attentive, and polite. As usual, the meal was very good and everything was served timely. Thank you to Troy and the rest of the staff at the Mount Airy Greene Turtle. M. Potatoes and green beans were cold, the N.Y. strip steak was full of fat and gristle, no other green vegetables other than g.beans (no broccoli, no asparagus):and the mashed potatoes were tasteless like they were out of a box - small portions - wont be back again (btw,the service was fine, no complaints there which is why they got 2 stars and not 1)

With so many options available in Frederick County, The Green Turtle in Mount Airy really needs to step up their game. Had dinner there last evening and ordered the crab cake dinner based on the picture in their menu. Looked like all lump crab meat ... not the seemingly pureed mess I received on my plate. Will not eat there again.

Great place to watch sports, I love to go there because not only is there tvs everywhere there is one at every booth and I can put on the channel I want to watch, the food is great also and consistantly good and there is a pretty big selections of beers to choose from as well so. "meet you at the Turtle"

We go there every year, this year I got the Maryland crab soup, extremely poor, no Maryland crab!!!! Also got the crab melt, wheres the crab!!!!! Wow a difference a year makes, must of change hands! So sad hopefully the other Green Turtles dont follow suite. Used to always look forward to going there!!

Got there around 2 with some of my friends. We all put our orders for food and drink at the same time. Sat there for an hour no food or drinks were brought out. The place wasnt crowded. Other ppl who came in after we got there received their food and drinks. I will never go there again

Service was poor. Waiter couldnt remember who got what with 3 in the party. Crab soup was all greasy broth. We just ate at the one in Ocean City last Thursday and was excellent. Then the waiter told my friend who had a Ravens jersey on, to leave cause he was a Steelers fan.
