Let me state this first, the manager Justin is fantastic and he did everything he could to make up for his atrocious staff. But the damage was done. If the restaurant was full of people like him itd be a solid place. Let me explain what happened today at this normally good place. We walked in and we were greeted by a birthday celebration. Normally thats totally fine and its customary in restaurants like this. You know where the staff sings Happy Birthday or in this case shouts yee haw, thats totally fine and I got no problem with that. But when we walked in what we heard was like we entered a rock concert without ear protection. This employee Tyler was screaming at the top of his lungs. And got everyone else in the restaurant to scream as well. It annoyed me tremendously because I have a ruptured eardrum from an ear infection. I shrugged it off and we were seated by a rude blonde waitress. 20 minutes into our otherwise pleasant visit we hear a similar shout and the guy shouts again as loud as he can. At this point Id had enough because my ear was shooting in pain. I walk over there and politely yet angrily asked him to keep it localized to the area where the birthday is. I get sass from him in response. I asked to see the manager after another of the servers, a young female with brown hair now started to try and gang up on me. (?!Seriously, what in the world kind behavior is this from a server?) For the record I worked retail for 8 years and I know how difficult customers can be and I also know how to provide good customer service. I myself have personally been in that spot where I have a butthole customer and hes mad and I know what to do with it. Youre supposed to apologize and be calm and not take their complaints personal and ask what you can do to make them happy. Instead I was mocked by the servers. One of whom told me and I quote "I think you do need to see the manager because youre out of line". I then asked to speak to the manager and I spoke to an assistant manager named Korbin who told me if loud screams werent my cup of tea maybe this wasnt the restaurant for me. Following this, I demanded to speak to the general manager Justin who was professional and apologetic. Im simply in shock to be honest. Im a 29 year old man in college who came here on a date with my girlfriend. Im not some middle aged crazy, picky woman who wants to complain and get free meals out of it. I didnt even ask for a free meal, (even though the head manager probably would have) all I did was ask the manager to make sure theres no spit in my food because of the unprofessional way the servers and assistant manager acted. He said he would and I had complete confidence in him. Sadly Im not sure well be back. Im very forgiving with restaurants and I usually leave giant tips because I myself worked in food service and I know how hard it is. But theres just absolutely no excuse for this kind of rotten behavior. Theres a practical aspect to it as well. I cant eat here and trust that my food wont be tampered with by the sleazy staff. I want to note that not all of the staff is sleazy, just a few trashy individuals. Unfortunately they ruined it for the good ones. This place has good food but a few atrocious staff members. I have mixed feelings about recommending it. Justin was wonderful, but with staff like that is a good manager enough?

Used to love this restaurant. We will go regardless of the wait and expense because the food is awesome and the service is usually wonderful. Last night was such huge disappointment. When we first arrived, we took note of "quiet" it was compared to most nights. We thought this would go into our favor. We were totally wrong. Because we brought our two children, we were asked by the hostess when seated if we needed a highchair or booster. Said yes, and asked again later, it was never brought to us. Okay, no biggie, my husband just went and got it himself. The salad was given had the wrong dressing on it, not just to the side. Again no biggie, so I just laughed and told the server that I like this dressing too, no need to send it back. The $6 margarita was devoid of any booze. It was just mixer and ice. Oh well, I needed to work in the morning anyway. Next came our main entrees. My daughter did not receive her sides. So now shes eating our food because shes hungry and having to wait for hers. This was pretty annoying. After all this, I realize a few bites into my T-Bone that its is very well done, and quite tough. I had ordered it medium rare. Now at this point, I ask for it to be sent back, which our friendly waiter informed us would be corrected and brought out by the manager. By the time the new steak was brought out, both my husband and daughter had finished their food, I have a tired infant, and I just want to go home at this point. But screw it, I want to eat my steak. The manager simply set it down on the table and walked away. I guess he was in a rush to get back to the other table nearby where his buddies were sitting. At first glance, this is the THINNEST T-Bone I have EVER seen. It is also definitely medium. But whatever, I wasnt going to wait for them to fix it again. At first bite, I couldnt ignore how insanely salty it was. No exaggeration here, they must have spilled the bottle onto the meat. My husband tried a bite as well, and agreed that it wasnt even edible. The poor server, who at this point was sweating bullets every time he came by, (poor guy) asked how it was. I said fine and asked for the check. Now this is my bad, I should have told him, how yet again, something was screwed up. But I didnt. The manager obviously didnt care, I must have pissed off the cook, and I just wanted to go home. I left the steak and took a few rolls home. We still tipped the server because its not his fault he works with such a shitty team. But we will never go back.

Long story alert: A waitress bumped my mom into one of the giant wood pillars in the entrance waiting area. She left right away like anyone would instead of asking for witnesses. For about a month she had a ton of pain. One day in the middle of the night she falls down and goes in and out of consciousness. She is rushed to the ER, stays in the ICU for 2 weeks with sepsis and then 2 more weeks in the regular hospital. She is fortunate to recover and survive. Well prior to this my parents went to this location literally 3-5 times a week for at least 6 years, knew everyone that worked there. They went there after all this was over and tried to talk about it and the manager went full corporate speak, asked if they had witnesses (at this point it was 2 months later). I totally get why as a corporation they cant just admit things, but this manager who definitely has seen them there, theyve been there easily hundreds of not thousands of times couldnt so much as say Im sorry you had to deal with health problems or offer them some free meals? Surely thats in the managers ability to give out a meal or say sorry. My parents are not the type to sue, they werent looking to trap the manager into paying for things. I think they just wanted to be ok with a restaurant experience that almost killed my mom. Instead they got corporate speech, not even so much as an Im sorry. Needless to say my parents have never been back and neither will me or any of my siblings. TL/DR TX Roadhouse will not apologize or make even a tiny attempt to keep customers who had been coming for years and years and years after almost killing one of them.
