Took my daughter here for her 15th birthday. Ive seen it for years and have always wanted to come, and I wasnt disappointed. Beautiful restaurant - the stream, waterfall, and fish are really well done - the water is clean, we enjoyed watching the fish while we waited to be seated. The restaurant itself is clean and modern and inviting. We did the teppanyaki and sushi and both were excellent. Were very picky about sushi and this ranks up there with the best. We had salmon nigiri and the Mars roll. Our daughter got the shrimp entree and my husband and I shared the steak and shrimp and everything was perfect. We asked for medium rare, and it was tender and very flavorful. The fried rice was great, too, as others have mentioned. We really enjoyed the chef - friendly, funny, good show. After dinner they brought out a slice of probably the best cheesecake Ive ever tasted and sang to my daughter. The service was excellent. Others have mentioned the price, but for the experience, amount and quality of food, and the ambience, its what I would expect to pay. Best tepanyaki restaurant I have experienced. It is family owned and I can tell they take great pride in their restaurant - truly beautiful. Definitely recommend it and we will be back.

Went here for the first time on friday night, for a big surprise birthday for my mother in laws birthday. The atmosphere here is beautiful, and everything was going fine until I ordered my sushi... It was brought out and as I was getting ready to pour my soy sauce a bug started climbing out of the bottle and into the spout. I was horrified, and the chef that was cooking called out to the lady waiting our table telling her to come get the soy sauce that there was ANOTHER soy sauce with a bug in it. He apologized.. But I literally sat there, the rest of my meal sick to my stomach and did not end up eating anything. It really concerns me that they know they have a bug issue and havent fully taken care of the problem. When my father in law left that night he tried talking to the manager who said he never heard anything about a bug and that he would "investigate" the situation and speak with the employees as to why he wasnt notified. The least the manger could have done is comp the meal that was never even eaten, but he didnt. I will never come back to the restaurant and I will definently not recommend this place to anyone.

WORST experience of my life, I will NEVER go back. My 4 year old and I where sat by ourselves in the very back room nothing but white walls no other dinners. We waited about 20 min. for the chef he was nice but was done with his "show" in less than 5 minutes. I told him my daughter had an egg allergy and he served her fried rice with egg I had to ask him to restart her food and he seemed put out. 3 or 4 staff members came into the room started folding napkins at a back table (apparently the prep station) and complaning about the end of their shift, after which 2 more staff came to clean the grill completely ignored us as they talked about their last night out and so on. When I asked to talk to the manager I was introduce to an older man I told him of the bad experience we had had and that I was disappointed in the whole night. I was told that the staff would get in trouble and that I WOULD PAY FOR MY MEAL! I never said anything about payment but he handed me my Bill and waited for me to give him my card before he would leave the room(perfect ending to a perfect night right?) so like I said before, I will NEVER go back!

The sushi is poor quality and they do not have a very good selection of sushi rolls. They definitely lack any type of creativity or variety on their menu. We ordered 2 meals that both included steak. They were already priced at $28.00. On top of the $28.00 we decided to go for the upgrade of Kobe beef for an extra $15.00. We were extremely disappointed when the steak was served to us diced up and swimming in soy sauce. We also ordered our steaks rare and they were both served very well done. All dinner combinations are served with soup, salad, shrimp appetizer and fried rice. The salad wad plain iceberg with thousand island and sesame seeds. The soup wad soy a sauce flavored water with 2 sliced mushrooms in it. The fried rice had a cup of garlic butter in each serving, we know this because it was done right in front of us. The rice was so greasy and way too garlicy! It was by far the worst $43.00 I have ever spent on a steak dinner, twice! The service was equally as bad! I will not even get started on how rude and unprofessional their staff is. I have no idea how this place stays in business ! It is terrible!

Since I move to Utah, Ive try so many Japanese restarant and Kobe will be your first choice. They re-open in December at a new location, right behind the old 1. Both service & food quality are excellent. I went there with few friends and our server, Simon, is so friendly & professional. He explain all kind of questions about Sake & Sushi for us. Even though we eat sushi a lot, but therere always something new to learn about food. He recommand us to try different Nigiri and pair Sake, Japanese rice wine. Chef Michael is so entertaining & the food taste sooo Yummy. YumYum!! 1 of our friend was celebrating her birthday & .....surprise!! Simon brought out a b-day cake with over 10 of his co-workers singing their KOBE Birthday song together for my friend. Having a GREAT time there at Kobe!!! SURE will be back!!!!

We were driving around and saw this place and decided to try it. I really enjoyed the staff and the food and we really had a great experience. I had filet and scallops and my wife had kobe beef, both were awesome. I love scallops and eat them every time I can, and these were the BEST scallops Ive ever had. This is not something Id say lightly, they really did melt in your mouth. The Kobe beef was really good and the filet was good, too. The meal came with a small salad (Not bad but not outstanding), a soup with a few mushrooms floating in it, and then the cook started cooking. The fried rice was really good - not overcooked like some Ive had. Overall an outstanding experience. Meal for two cost us $100 with tip, we ordered some of the more expensive items but it was well worth it.

My wife upgraded her meal to Kobe beef which cost $30.00 more, for a total of $63.00. The steak was really really good, but, if we wouldve known then, what we know now, we wouldve been ripped off! Yes ripped off, you can only get Kobe beef steaks in Japan, the U S doesnt allow the sale of Kobe beef in this country. (If you would like to see for yourself, look up Kobe beef on the internet) Shame on you Kobe, for telling us one thing and giving us another. We wont be spending another dime in your establishment.
