We were there last night with a large party for a reunion. We had many children, which I know can be hard, Ive worked in a restaurant, i understand. But the children that were there were very well behaved. From the second we got seated our waitress was very snippy and rude. It took a very long time to get our drinks, never getting straws for our drinks or the kids drinks, and took wayyy to long to take our orders. When she did take our orders and a simple question was asked, she answered very short and rudely. Not once did she check on how our food was or ask us if we wanted dessert (which we did and had to ask about it our selves) and no ones water was refilled and left empty the whole time. When she went to clear the empty plates, she dropped one on our dessert plate we were eating and knocked over cups and other stuff. She made an annoyed sound and walked away, not saying sorry or even caring that she dropped a plate in the food we were eating or help clean up the spilt stuff. It was clear she was annoyed and for no reason! Yes we were a large party, we were not being difficult, and the kids were sitting at the table nicely! And for the record, we are the type of people to tip way over 25% when in a large party and with kids. So disappointed with our experience this time! We were even getting glares from the hostess station! With the holidays and all the holiday partys around this time of the year, you would think I restaurant would be prepared for large groups, even when they have a reservation! Unfortunately, we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

First off, this place serves food until 11pm on the weekdays - which is kind of a BIG DEAL in Utah, where everything closes at 9pm. If youre interested in a non-fast food late night dining option, this place is a huge win. Im eastern european, so I grew up eating a very similar style of food. My boyfriend is of german descent and was literally giddy about the menu. We shared two entrees - The Chicken Paprikash - Chicken breast with creamy hungarian paprika sauce served with a side of steamed veggies and spätzle. Roast beef on the bone, served with red cabbage and spätzle. Not sure what this menu item is called. The chicken was OK - maybe 4 stars from me. It was cooked perfectly, and moist on the inside. The sauce drizzled on the chicken was the star of the show, and I would have appreciated a bigger helping of it. The veggies were ok - not mushy at all but pretty plain. The spätzle is a pretty close, but not perfect. The variety they use is a little too dense, and was a bit over-fried. The ideal end result should be light and airy. The beef dish on the other hand was the star of the show. Deliciously seasoned, perfectly cooked fall off the bone meat. The red cabbage was great also - my boyfriend was very impressed with the recipe. Overall a 4.5 star experience, but Im bumping it up to 5 due to the great service and uniqueness of the menu. Well be back!

The food here has been good but not great, a convenient local spot that has a nice brunch as well as a nice patio that is heat and cooled. I have enjoyed most of my experiences at this restaurant however I want to update on the very rude and confrontational service I received when calling in an order to pick up. I spent about 5 minutes repeating information to the woman that answered the and thats ok its loud in there so had to repeat a lot. The problem was when I was informed for the first time I must provide this unknown person with my credit card over the phone and considering I just ordered the same thing yesterday and have many times before with no issue I questioned this for multiple reasons and she was very rude and would not place the order and just said cant do it k bye and hung up the phone, this is after I was put on hold for 3 minutes after asking if that was really needed since Ive never been asked that before. The people that answer the phone and are the first to interact with customers should be able to make customers happy and provide a friendly welcoming attitude or the experience is ruined. I will not personally be going back since there are restaurants as good or better close and I am treated with respect and courtesy that all customers should be.

Yes, this place is great. Im from Germany and I have to say the moment I step in here it does indeed remind me quite a bit of home with the high ceilings, all the wood (wooden benches, tables, wall) and the warm and friendly atmosphere. Let me clarify though that not all of Germany looks like this but only the south east of Germany which is the federal state of Bavaria. The beer this place serves is brewed basically right next door - you can actually see their facilities while you enjoy the beer. It tastes flavorful and is served in mostly big mugs - just how it should be. I prefer to order a smaller size though so that I can try out several brews. Their food menu is interesting. They have some classical American dishes but also a few German dishes. Their schnitzel is solid - make sure to replace the mash potatoes with Spätzle which is a traditional German egg noodle. In general the food is ok but not that great. It didnt remind me too much of home. You come here rather for the atmosphere and the beer. And better come early - this place is packed even in the middle of the week.

My son and I celebrated my 80th birthday by taking Delta from Salem to Salt Lake. We stayed at Castle Creek Inn B&B. Awesome! Then I started researching for Czech. Oregon has only one place for Czech. food and its in a trailer in downtown Portland and is open only five days a week for a few hours. No one I asked knew about the Bohemian Brewery. We arrived mid day and there were few customers. We both ordered Roast Pork, bread dumplings and sauerkraut. Ummmm! We enjoyed the 50 Cent beer samplers. We enjoyed it so much that our last night we stopped after having my birthday dinner at the Brazilian restaurent. What a difference the building was packed. But we were fortunate and they had a table for us. All we wanted was the beer samplers to end a perfect day in Salt Lake. The waitress was as friendly and capable as the waitress the day before when they werent busy. We wish Oregon had a place like the Bohemian Brewery.

If you want GOOD food and plenty of it, this IS the place! Not to mention great beer, too! We went 3 times during our trip to Powder Mountain and Alta, and enjoyed everything, except for Potato pancakes, they are a bit too over fried , this could be our preference though.. My Mom is Russian, and my fiancés Mom is Polish, and they make better, softer potato pancakes:) And one night we tried a buffalo burger, which was good, but we should have just stick to the European dishes. Goulash was amazing, so much meat! The pork shank-YUM! Pierogi and sausage -ORDER IT! Chicken paprikash -delicious! Also, what a nice atmosphere, very cool place, always so busy yet somehow you never wait for too long! I wish I could sample more than 2 tiny samples of the beer at once, but hey thats the law:) Our waitress was wonderful, too. This is a MUST go place , especially after an all day skiing :)
