First of all lets state the obvious: the Einstein chain isnt in the same league with Starbucks and Panera (and probably never will be). I would never set foot in this place if either of those other franchises had an outlet within walking distance. With that said, this specific Einstein doesnt compare well with other Einsteins. I see lots of ingenious things here in Utah. For example the innovative freeway interchanges up here in the Provo-SLC-Ogden area. However, for customers like myself who simply want a coffee and a bagel, the two-stage checkout line at this Einstein---together with the duties evidently assigned to the people manning them---is downright stupid. Ironic that it exists in a place with the name "Einstein." My time is valuable. After already enduring the stupid two-stage line and completing my payment, the last thing Im in the mood to do is continue to wait needlessly for an employee to spend the ten seconds it will take to toss a bagel into a bag and hand me my empty coffee cup. Having instead to watch clueless employees---including the one that just took your payment---scurry about dealing with far more time-consuming orders in front of you while you stand there twiddling your thumbs---yes, I will stand right there at the register in that situation, refusing to budge---is annoying as hell. There is plenty more room for annoyance with the stupid queuing system they have here. The line was relatively long this morning. The guy taking the orders deals with the five or six customers in front of me, one by one, until I arrive. When I get there, he suddenly disappears, off making coffees for people. All the while, there is a long line behind me while I stand there waiting for him to return. After standing there for at least 60 seconds (probably 90 or more), with the line at the register having now thinned down to just one remaining customer, get this: the woman at the register motions to some customers standing behind me in line to walk over to her for whatever transactions it was they were waiting for! This should never happen. I dont care what the reason was. Even if there was some justification for it, for all I know, its sanctioned line-cutting. To his credit, when the guy making the coffees finally came rushing back to the ordering counter and took my order, he did at least hand me my bagel on the spot. But---almost as if on cue---as soon as I reach the register counter, the woman manning it suddenly disappears! She goes back and makes a coffee for someone while I stand there twiddling my thumbs again! Worse still, when she finishes that and hands the coffee to the waiting customer, instead of immediately taking my payment and handing me an empty coffee cup, she goes back and spends about 30 more seconds doing some routine maintenance in the area where she made the coffee! Id give the place two stars for their private bathrooms---the one thing they do better than Panera---but considering just how bad the two-stage line and poorly instructed employees are here, I simply cant help but slam it with a one-star.

The place gets 2 stars because the bagels were good. The cashier is only there to rip you off! He refused to split the order so I could use my coupon. He said they were too busy. There was no one behind me! He then stated they could refuse using coupons for any reason. I gave up on that fight over a couple dollars. Then, he forgets to ring up my cream cheese with the bagels I bought so he had to ring it separately. He could not have been more rude about his mistake. He first asked me if I really needed it. Then he reluctantly rung it up but at the wrong price. He said it had to be purchased with the bagels or it cost more. It was his mistake they were not! At this point, I was infuriated. He then said, "Im ringing them up for you, arent I?" I will NEVER visit this location again. Too bad cause I really liked the bagels.

If I could give zero stars I would. A lot of people who live near us always told us to go here. That its the best place to get bagels and the coffee is great. So we tried it. When we came in it was quiet. Not a lot of people. Probably around 9 or 10 in the morning. These people took our order, get a cup for one of the coffees, and even gave me my mocha. After that service was terrible. They not only didnt bring us out our order, they lost it. When the girl gave me my mocha she said have a nice day. And I asked where the rest of our order was. She rudely told me they would bring it out then went behind the counter and asked them where it was. They didnt know where it was or even what it was. And everyone in the back started yelling. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I love Einsteins, but this location needs serious help. The manager at the time (No name tag, but it was obvious) feels it isnt necessary for him to wear the plastic gloves provided while preparing food, even though his associates do. In the time I was there I watched him, never having gloves on, answer the phone, prepare orders, pick up some trash off the ground, and wipe the sweat from his brow with the palm of his hand. Yes, all of those things. Never left my sight, never re-washed his hands. I will never go to this location ever again. I couldnt believe how sloppy and irresponsible he was. I can only imagine what else goes on when customers arent watching. Perhaps youll have better luck, but it might not be worth the risk.

There is a girl with brown hair, did not catch her name, she always seems put out and is not good at interacting with people. Ive walked up to the front before to tell her the coffee is out and she walked to the back as I approached the counter??? Terrible customer service. The bagel selection was terrible, they were out of almost everything and the coffee was out (three flavors) and I told them and after waiting apprx 25 min there was still no sign. Ya bottomless cup? Hmmm no truth to that. We left completely unsatisfied. I will never come back here again. Do not recommend this location to anyone.

For the past 6 years Einsteins has been my favorite place to grab a toasted bagel! They offer over a dozen bagel types, with numerous spreads (many of which are low fat but taste absolutely delicious). I also enjoy the coffee blends they offer, that always taste fresh. Also the staff here is amazing, and remembered my name after only visiting a couple of times in 3 weeks. The only notable downside is that they can become extremely busy during their rush hours-so if youre thinking about coming here during your 12pm lunch break you might want to arrive 15 minutes early to afford the crowd.

Yummy bagels when they are fresh. A little better than bagels bought off a shelf at the supermarket. They tend to stale very easily, however, this may be due to a lack of preservatives or additives is my guess. I do not feel yucky inside after eating Einstein bagels like I do say if I eat too many of some shelf bagels from a plastic bag or say even a box of crackers. Einstein bagels are not very filling to me compared to others I have had. I can eat over twice as many, so they dont last that long for me. Overall, they are still yummy.
