My wife and I went up to The Ridge this evening for a little dinner. It was our first time there and we were unclear whether we were supposed to sit down or order at the register. We figured that out, and both decided lasagna sounded good. So we found a booth with a clean table (and noticed after we sat down that the seats were not clean). The lasagna came, nice presentation for the casual place, and the baking dishes were pretty hot. But we soon found that the lasagna was just lukewarm in the middle. So I tried to flag down the young man who brought our food as he was coming and going three different times to the table next to us, but he wasnt paying attention. So I took our food back up to the register and nobody was around for the minute or so as I stood there with my lukewarm food. Then the gentleman who was baking the pizzas asked if I needed help. I explained that the lasagna was just barely warm inside. He was very nice, I handed the dishes to him and he took them over to the cooks at the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, the same young man brought our lasagna back to us, said "here you go" and quickly left again, not to return. While the baking dishes were a little hotter, the lasagna was still barely warm in the middle. Without any one to help in sight, and since we were hungry, we decided just to eat it. Were not sure whether the lasagna is made in house, or comes frozen and is just reheated. But it sure seemed like it was just frozen and reheated-- but not heated all the way so that the food was actually hot--twice. The cashier who took our order was very friendly before and after we ate. But the rest of the staff on the floor was not very attentive. We didnt have anybody stop by our table after we receive our food to asked how we were doing. Dont know why the service was so poor, or the food was not hot. It was a nice atmosphere, and we might give them another try. But Im not too excited to drive up there again anytime soon.

This cafe at the top of a hill is pretty laid back. You order at the register, they are pretty saucy about that, and then deliver your meal to your table. If you want to pick up some diapers or dog food, they have that too. It also tries to be a high-end convenience store, so you can grab a snack bag of pistachios for $6. My club sandwich was burned and the margherita pizza was bland. The sweet potato fries were fine. The Caesar salad was symbolic - meaning there were about 12 mini leaves of lettuce on the plate with another 7 grape tomatoes halved. The service for ice cream was nonexistent. I literally waited for 5 minutes for no one to notice or help me. I would not return and I would not recommend it EXCEPT for the wonderful view and lovely property it shares with some resort housing. In front of the restaurant was a vendor selling churros files with Nutella, dulce de leche or sweet cream sauce. They were fresh and delicious. Evidently the owner of the restaurant is friends with the Churro man and is helping him out. It was the best food at the venue.

This was a very weird experience fancy resturant but order at a register, drinks yourself and no one to help much. The food is totally over priced. Burger had no juice and was dry for $12. The salad was ok...the chicken was so dry I almost need to dip it in water to be edible. Our friends got the pizza and it was soggy and I guess that is normal. They also got the daily special ribs and there was literally 4 ribs, a tiny scoop of potatoes and 4 asparagus spears for $14. everyone working there was pretty rude. It is too fancy of a place to be run so casually. The owner/chef came out and we expressed dismay in the portion size and he was pretty rude about it. People were standing around our table waiting for us to leave and I actually had to push them away from the back of my chair. We wont be back....they need to step up the food quality and service for the price to get us to come back. I hate leaving reviews like this...I try to be positive but maybe they can use this critic and improve the place because it has huge potential.

While trying to place a take-out order I was told that "Peggys Chicken Salad" did not come with chicken and Id have to pay an additional $3. When we went to pick it up, we paid and the lady walked away without giving us the food. It was on the counter between the chefs/kitchen and the area behind the register. We had to eventually flag another employee down so we could get our food and leave! I sent a private message to the restaurants Facebook page detailing the issues. This is the response that was sent to me: Laura, Cal Wadsworth here. We have received and reviewed your comments regarding our service and staff. We have also reviewed your comments to other restaurant establishments. The Ridge is our home. We welcome respectful and gracious guests and as such, we dont believe you fit our customer profile. Good luck ! Cal wadsworth If this is the customer service from the owner they sure do have a lot to learn.

Would have given five stars if my food wasnt 30 minutes late...my family finished their meals before I got mine. I had to get up and go ask the management where my salmon was and the server said "you havent received your food yet!?" The owner then showed up at my table 15 minutes later with my salmon and said "two people didnt show up for their shifts tonight." He didnt apologize or offer anything...just walked off. Bad customer service...could have handled better. They really need servers assigned to each table...the servers were so confused where to deliver the food that they were delivering food to the wrong tables. Dont ask me to pay and tip before my food is delivered if you dont have the ability to get your service in order. I would suggest having waiters on Saturday night!

The Ridge is a gem tucked into the eastern slopes in Draper. This cafe and store serves the small, hip community surrounding it and that is reflected in the food and merchandise they sell. Foodies will like their different takes on popular comfort foods while older folks like myself bask in the nostalgia of their candies and decor. Super friendly staff and great service, though their popularity can mean slow service at times. Very good fish and chips for a location so landlocked. If youre a picky eater like myself, you may find their sauces to be too sweet (most Americans like that). Avoid the meatloaf and other saucy dishes, if thats the case. Overall, this is a place that you have to visit at least once. You will not regret it.

The food was really average. The drive was fine. The restaurant was nice. The service was like a convienience store; hi what can I get you? My wife ordered the Tuesday Tacos, she was pleasant about them. I ordered the Fish Tacos, frozen breaded Halibut in a small flour taco shell with a lot of Mango, a little Onion, no sauce and no taste; yuk! I should expect this dish at other mid level cafes as Fish without the Chips. So I feel cheated. I could have gone to Walmart, bought frozen Halibut and saved $20. I dont think I will return soon.
