I have eaten at Los Arcos on numerous occasions with my wife and family over the years. All and all it is has been pretty decent food and service for the price. But nothing prepared me for the visit my wife and I made there this evening... This evening we went in and I ordered a martini and I guess I wasnt clear with the bartender. He made a typical martini... but with ice cubes in my drink... uh, okay. He says well you did say ice and I did, but I figured he knew and was going to shake and strain it off; a well vodka martini, no vermouth, olive juice, and olives. But like I said a miscommunication on my part I did tell him ice and he put ice cubes into my drink. Anyways, service was good nothing out of the ordinary just relaxing and enjoying the evening with my wife. We had the usual chips and salsa, ordered a little caso to go with it. We then made our orders, food came out no big issue with anything all very normal and waiter walked away. My wife ordered Mojarra Frita and began to hit it with her fork. I had the Burritos Dinner. I had not yet touched my plate when all of the sudden a small German cockroach crawls out from under my plate and takes a nice leisurely stroll across the table over the straw of my martini and over the edge of the table. I sat stunned... completely!! "Look, LOOK, OMG!!" I said to my wife "Did you see that? I know I am not drunk... I havent even finished one martini!" We quickly called the waiter over and explained what had just happened. He immediately got the manager and the manager came over and we explained it again and all he said was "Im sorry, would you like us to box it up for you to go?" I was even more astonished that he would even suggest me taking their food home! Are you kidding me guy; really!? Needless to say they have lost a long time customer forever... because I will never return again. I would suggest that anyone visiting Los Arcos to be very leery of the place. These types of roaches like to crawl into stuff and come home with you and once they are there they are very, very hard to get rid of! You must keep it very clean and exterminate frequently!!!

Came here for a friends baby shower. Order drinks, took a few minutes to get them but thats okay. Asked for queso with beef. The beef was definitely straight out of a can and not fresh at all. Cheese tasted alright if not a bit microwaved. Order beef quesadilla. Nothing extraordinary, basic and tasted alright, probably not worth 10 bucks though. Ordered second set of drinks, husband got the wrong drink, brought us a Dr. Pepper instead ofof diet Pepsi, not a big deal since he likes dp but the fact of the matter is it was wrong Now the kicker. Got our bill and saw a 20 % gratuity already tacked onto the bill. I was shocked but didnt want to argue about it and ruin my friends shower. Service is slow. Food is mediocre at best, do not recommend this place.

Several months ago, my wife & I ordered carné guísada. It was so salty we could not eat it. We went back last week, giving them another chance. The carné guísada was still salty as could be. My wife sent it back and ordered beef nachos-salty as well. Took home ground beef tacos & a burrito for the kids and it was so salty the kids couldnt even eat it. Went back a few days after with my receipt at 2pm and asked to speak with a manager. The manager was not there and the girl at the front assured me I would receive a call back that day....that was a week ago and still nothing.....Im done giving them chances. On a side note, Jaime is a great waiter.

This restaurant is one of the worst around. We ate there for our first time and had a roach crawl out of our bowl of chips. We pointed to this out to the manager who explained that it was impossible for a roach to live in a hot bowl of chips. Our food arrived and we could not get the thought of roaches crawling around. We then told the manager that we would not be eating and were leaving. He insisted that we pay for our iced tea as we had drank some of it. Needless to say, we walked out completly disgusted in the restaurant as well as the dreadful customer service. Do Not waste your time or money in this place. GROSS

This place is terrible! Stopped in for lunch and we ordered the "famous" margaritas. It took forever to arrive and it looked and tasted like a glass of icewater. We complained to the waitress and she informed us the margaritas were premixed and there was not anyone there who could make us a fresh one. While we were discussing this, food was being delivered to the table next to us and it looked and smelled terrible. We left and will never be back.

Awful... Waiting WAY TOO LONG for our drinks... Lemonade was terrible tasted like cheap powder.... Ordered enchiladas and shrimp ranchero and my hubs couldnt even cut through his enchis with his fork... Shrimp was dry,rubbery and hard around the edges... Rice was gummy and definitely a couple days old... Never again... Btw hostess get the stick out of your ass and get off the phone when seating customers.

I just call to place a to go order, the manager took my call, after 20 minutes I got there and ask for my order he goes like I dont know about your order okay I repeat the order and have to wait 20 more minutes thats ridiculous and he didnt even say Im sorry my apologies or something now I understand why they dont have customers they should close down

Visiting Tomball for a wedding and this restaurant was next to my hotel and i am so glad i came here gtreat food and the the strongest margaritas i have ever had. The bartender who is s retired teacher was the funniest bartender i have ever had . I highly recommend going here.

I havent been here in years! So glad to get a chance to go back. Some of the best mexican food Ive eaten. The cheese enchiladas are wonderful! The tapiquena was tender and tasty. Only thing missing was homeade tortillas but still 5 stars. Oh and the service was fabulous!

Great Tex Mex for the Price! Margaritas are good and service is acceptable. The food is consistently good, but the service at times is slow. We have visited most of all the other Mexican Food restaurants in the area and for the price they have the best food.

My wife and I have eaten there off and on for 5 years. Sometimes the food is better than normal,sometimes not. Weve never SEEN roaches. These days due to our having a toddler we usually get carry out. Truthfully the portions could be better. Overall we like it

I am not quite sure why this place gets such bad reviews. Love the food and It has been consistently good every time Ive been. my server was excellent and provided great service. Maybe you other folks arent ordering the right stuff haha.
