Very disappointed! I took my two 12 year old grandkids there for lunch yesterday (Saturday) and was not at all impressed. To start off with, we had to flag down one of the staff to ask if we would be seated or if we just pick a table. It wasnt all that busy yet it took about ten minutes just to get our drinks. One order of nachos and two orders of the crispy beef tacos with drinks was $39.74, not including the tip. Most places have a lunch menu (even on the weekends), but apparently they do not; if they do, we were not offered one. The food was very bland. I kept having to add salt and salsa to everything just to try to get some flavor. Even the pico de gallo was bland; just tasted like chopped tomatoes. The jukebox was so loud it was difficult to carry on a conversation. We were never given a check. I finally just walked up to the counter to pay. Needless to say, I wont be going back.

The food is always good. The Barbacoa is decent. My problem is that I have caught them two different times adding things that we didnt orord at the register. Your never handed a guest check. The waitress puts the order in and gives the check to the register. You go to the register to pay and they just start adding things up without letting you see the guest check. I add things up as I decide what I qm going to ordet. The 1st time was off by $12 and $10 the second. So, I asked to see my guest check and each time they were reluctant to do so. They argued with my wife about it and I had to step in. The second time different waitress same register host made excuses. So, keep track of what you order and whatch them. I am sad to onow how many people just pay without watching if they are over charged.

We have ordered from here many times for lunch, my office loves the food and the location is convenient. We had them cater our company Christmas party, Hou-Scape, Inc. Not only were their catering prices excellent, they did an EXCELLENT job. The driver was early, set us all up and was kind enough to loan us their warming cooler to keep the trays hot while we served. The food was more than enough and we definitely got what we payed for...maybe even more than what we paid for! We will continue to enjoy their food for lunch and as ling as they will have us, we will have them cater our parties from now on. Thank you to the team of El Emperador, you guys (and girls) are amazing. Keep up the amazing work!

El lugar bueno y limpio, la comida buena, pero No te respetan los precios del menú y te cobran lo que quieren al final, No te dan recibo especificado por tu compra. Más de 3 veces reclame mi cuenta al final por que estaba alterada e inclusive un día me estaban cobrando lo de la otra mesa de a lado. Terrible...No regrese..

When I first arrived, im not going to lie it looked kind of "ghetto" and dirty. I was nervous, but im glad I tried it! The pic is the enchiladas, cheese and fajita; so good!! I drank 2 margaritas had a good buzz, im a beer gal (5 or 6 to get buzzed) so that was fine with me :) 4 stars for the chips and salsa, chips were crumbles mostly and salsa not spicy at all but I will go again. Great staff, jukebox with Latin music, kid friendly.

Best food ever....love the place is like our second home...we recomend the Garlic Shrimp or the Rancheros Shrimp, their Chimichanga is awesome (just in case that you dont like seafood they have a lots of differents plates and are cheap...the cheapest in the town)...we have ten years eating there and the worker are really nice and sweet... like we said before LOVE THE PLACE...

Me and the wife are creatures of habit and this is the place we choose to go to for breakfast almost every Sunday. All the staff is very friendly and they have all memorized what we order. Just nice to sit down for a quick breakfast and eat good, fairly priced food with a bunch of familiar faces around.

Authentic Mexican food (+3 stars) extremely affordable prices (+1 star). Dont be put off by the appearance on the outside or by the motel next door. Inside is a quaint Mexican restaurant filled with locals. Its recommended to go during lunch time because you get free queso with your chips and salsa :)

Great place to stop in for a bite. The staff and the food are amazing. This is my regular stop for breakfast tacos (sometimes a burrito). What most people would consider a "hole in the wall" that truly lives up to the addige, the best places to eat are the unknown hole in the wall.

The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. But, every time someone orders fajitas the smoking cast iron plate fills the whole restaurant with smoke causing fits of coughing for everyone around. Get some ventilation going and this place will be 5 stars for sure!

This is the best place for authentic Mexican food in Tomball. Brought my Canadian friend and she was amazed at how authentic the food was. I have been going to thus place since I was in high school, if you are looking for good food at a good price come here..

Loved this place! Great food, we tried the parillada, gordita, huarache and enchiladas! Im pretty picky with Mexican food places because I compare to my familys cooking but Will definitely be back! Xoxoxo also the salsa for chips is so good !

Met friends as get together for lunch on 3 different occasions as they love the food here. After my 3rd visit, i can honestly say, I dont like the food. Service was great. But Rancho Grande or Ciscos Salsa Co has much better food hands down.

Great value and wonderful Mexican food. My family and I frequently eat at El Emperador. It doesnt look like much from the outside, but it makes up for that in service and selection of menu items. Wait staff is attentive.

I ONLY eat the chicken enchiladas when I go out to a Mexican Restaurant. This place actually made me want to keep eating, and that never happens. This is the only place in Tomball, TX Ill eat Mexican food.

Food was pretty fast during lunch hour. Not too crowded. I ordered the lunch menu chicken quesidilla was a little greasy only came with sour cream but tasted decent.
