As an employee at this establishment I will say that our service is not always the best, but we try our hardest. Many of the problems and the people who have caused these problems no longer work here. Our service is slow but that is because we are only allowed to work 3-4 employees per shift sometimes even less. We have to cook our orders as they come in on most nights and chicken strips take 6 mins to cook while our hamburger patties take just about as long. We usually do have lots of flies because we keep our doors open considering the fact that our air conditioning does not work despite the multiple times we have attempted to get someone to fix it. Half of our employees are teenagers in highschool (including me) but that doesnt stop us from working out hardest. Now this may seem like a biased review just because I work here but my coworkers are very good people and try there best. If you are ever in the area dont be afraid to stop by and visit, and ask for Tanner and if Im working I will do my best to help you.

Sorry to all the customers that have had a bad experience at the Dairy Queen in Shamrock Texas. It now has a new manager that has been here just at a year and 90% of the employees are new. They are trying their best to get the good back and the bad out. Most times in the evening they run a small staff and if a rush comes they may not get to the tables to clean it off right when a customer leaves, however as soon as they get a minute they are right on it. Customers state that their food is cold, well 99% of the food is cooked to order now to avoid that from being an issue. Chicken Strips and Steak Fingers come with gravy however you can sub the gravy for Ranch, BBQ or Honey Mustard. Chili Cheese Dogs come with mustard, chili, cheese and onions unless the customer tells the staff different. Burgers come with mustard, lettuce, onion, pickle and tomatoes unless customer tells staff different. If you dont want something on you burger just let them know when placing your order.

I dont know why this place has bad reviews, we had a great experience. There are not a lot of options on I-40 between Oklahoma City and Amarillo, so I was pleasantly surprised at how good this Dairy Queen was. I dont usually stop for fast food, but the kids wanted ice cream and we needed lunch, so I gave this DQ a shot and Im glad I did. The place was sparkling clean when we walked in, definitely a rarity in the fast food world! There were only two people working there when we arrived (maybe thats why other reviewers have had to wait a long time) but they were friendly and attentive. Our food was hot & delicious, especially the Dude (chicken fried steak sandwich!), which was crispy and pretty much heaven with mayo. I had to go back a few times for napkins, etc, and the checkout lady didnt make me wait in line, she was very helpful. Ill be stopping in again next time Im in the neighborhood. Thanks, Shamrock DQ!

When we arrived, there were only a few people in front of us, but we stood in line for a solid five minutes before placing our order. After ordering, we waited another 15 minutes before receiving our food. The chicken sandwiches were rather greasy and the fries too salty. It also seemed way overpriced; I paid $18 for two meals (one with a blizzard and no drink). I hate to say it, but youd be better off going to the McDonalds next door.

Order was wrong. Not a single employee smiled while we were waiting for our food, at us or anybody else. When I asked about my soda, the employee nodded in the direction of the soda machine, not saying a word. I think most of this stores business is one time visitors from I-40, and they could care less about good service.

We got there at around 9:30p.m. and the teenage girl behind the counter was rude and acted like she didnt want to be there. The tray where they keep the ketchup was nasty and hadnt been clean. We had a simple order and they screwed it up. Also the fries were half cooked. Will not go back. Very disappointed

Ahhh thought this might be like every other Dairy Queen, but I definitely wont ever go here again. Ordered the 8 piece chicken breast strips, and asked for ranch dip. The counter girl said they didnt serve the chicken with BBQ or Ranch. Only Gravy... WTF. Like the guy said "Youre better off at McDonalds."

Terrible service ....waited 10 minutes before anyone took our order ., they knew we were here. Food had been sitting done for a while and was quite possibly the worst all around place I have ever eaten. Had to battle flies during the entire meal also. Not even a sorry for the wait

They took our order at the intercom but waited to tell use they were out of waffle bowls and didnt know what a freeze was at the window. The woman asked me how to make it. After we explained how they still messed it and expected us to keep it. I had to demand my money back.

Not so good. We waited for about 15mins to get food. The cook and counter person were smoking or talking to a girl who stayed up there for some time. The cooks dog hung around outside and even came in a couple times. Poor service
