Im really upset with Taipei. I went because I had a Groupon. We ordered one dinner entree and one lunch entree, and two iced teas. The bill was $22.00. When I presented my Groupon, though, the waitress said it wouldnt cover the lunch entree, so she would have to adjust the bill and charge me for a dinner entree instead. So, she "upped" the bill by $13.00 (and charged me $2.50 for the iced tea that would have been included in the lunch menu) and then deducted the $10 Groupon. In the end, it would have been cheaper to just not use the Groupon at all. I think this is the absolute WORST customer service, and I will never go there again. Because I was on a date, I didnt make a stink about it at the time. Once I got home, though, I called the manager to complain and he said he was the owner, and that he couldnt do anything "after the fact". I dont recommend this place!

My first time to eat here. I had a late lunch, but, I still was able to order from the "Early Bird" special, which included an egg roll and a cup of soup with a choice of ten different entrees. I had wonton soup which had a delicious flavor. The menu included a variety of appetizers, chicken, beef, seafood and traditional platters. My choice was sesame chicken with fried rice. The tea was good and so was my meal, as well as the spring rolls I had as an appetizer. They were all very tasty! It wasnt crowded at the time, the prices were moderate, and our waiter was nice and very attentive, however, I didnt see him smile at all! I found a new Chinese food restaurant to eat at and I cant wait to try something else from the menu!

Decided to try this out because they were running a deal on Groupon. So I came here all the way from Cibolo for dinner. BIG MISTAKE! Im not one to nit pick and complain but this place was toooo expensive and the food was disgusting. It is one of the only times that I actually requested for a place to take the food back and get something else. I even had my friends try my plate. The jalapeño chicken had a strange texture and the lo mein was one of the worst I have ever had. I saw that this place has some decent reviews so Im not sure if the cook that night was new or what but I will NEVER be going back. Service was SLOW on top of everything. We were all super disappointed! :(

Customer service is horrible. I had no acknowlegement when walking in the door. I said hello to a man at the counter and he completely ignored me and proceeded to the back room. I placed a to-go order and when I called they gave me a total of $9. When I went to pick it up the price went up as well to $11. No apology was issued. The egg drop soup was extremely salty and inedible. The rest of the food was not impressive. It just felt as if we were bothering the staff versus them being happy to see us. Definately not impressed and will not be going back. I wish the staff was as nice as their decor.

We went for lunch and will definately go back. Liked the decor and it was quiet. We ordered from the lunch menu...I had the pork and shrimp with cashews...very yummy, very good depth of flavors, and my husband had the sweet and sour chicken...yummy too, and the crust was tender, not too thick, sauce was sweet enough, but not too "gooey"...Prices for lunch were around $7 and plenty of food. No problems with the service, food or the check.

Looked at one review that stated sushi was always fresh. Not the case. Had salmon and yellow tail avocado roll. Well avocado was fresh. Sushi was not fresh. Yellow tail looked dark and tasted gammy. Salmon at least looked normal. Elected rolls over plain sushi because price for sushi was really expensive. Wait staff looked tired and uninspired. Basically, will be coming back.

This is one of the many chinese restaurants in the Stone Oak area and I found the food to be mediocre at a higher price. I ordered chicken with vegetables which came with rice and eggroll (extra charge for eggdrop soup which is standard in most chinese restaurants). The food is cooked in MSG and service is so-so (waiter was hard to find). The only plus is the unique atmosphere.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food. They had the best eggroll I have ever tasted. It seems to all be made from scratch even the sauces. I had the almond chicken and it was wonderful. The early bird specials are amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor is pretty. The service was very kind and helpful.

I love TaiPei ! Not sure why it has so many bad reviews! They are all older though so maybe things really changed. I love the Chicken Pad Tai and the Tai Fried Rice! Both in Tai hot! So yummy. We always have the food delivered and it arrives within 30 min. Its my go to when I just cant make dinner! Yummy

egg drop soup warm not hot and to salty not good service I was given a gift card from my realtor with a value of 50.00 and the owner said he had no record of it I paid cash and walked out beware do not buy gift cards from this restaurant they will cheat you

The food is tasty, and the service good, but the staff seemed a bit rushed even with only 4 tables to cover. They were helpful and attentive to us. Nice full menu and a wide ranging wine selection also.

Over rated, over priced & inauthentic. Hey Tai Pei, just because you add soy sauce to white rice, it doesnt make it brown rice. Somebody, please open a decent Chinese joint on the north side.

Cheap during lunch and the food is decent. Dont go during dinner, its twice as much. Strange smell in the front entryway. Place is always empty. Staff is meh.
