Ordered at this place on 3/11/2014 at 9:15 am. First of I had several orders which they allowed me to do. If your order is under $5 you must pay cash, which is understandable. The first 3 order were single tacos and they were all chorizo and egg. When she rand up the first taco and told me it was $1.83 I was shocked to see how expensive it was. My mistake by not noticing the prices of the .99 tacos end at 9 am but too have it end that soon and too raise the price by 69% is way out of wack. So I made a comment to my friend behind me that maybe we should just go down the block to Ricos where the .99 special ends at 11 am. The lady in front then stated rudely, "OK then...go!" I was pretty upset at that but I kept my composure and stated, "No were already here so well go ahead and order." Ill tell you all what....I should have gone down the block to Ricos. After we ordered all our tacos we waited about 5 minutes to receive them which is average. But then she shorted us on the salsas. She stated that we can only receive one salsa per two tacos. (What the hell is going through my head). I went on to explain to her, "That we have several orders (6) with just single tacos." Does she expect me to have them share the salsa?? She stated that this is their policy even though I placed separate orders. I told her Im only needing 3 more salsa where she proceeds to charge me .10 each for them. I told her that I wasnt going to pay for her salsas and then she told me that she would only give me these 3 salsas this one time. As soon as she placed the salsa in the bag I told her there wont be a next time with the way their customer service is and how they proceed to nickle and dime you for everything. Los Jalepenos is already charging %1.69 for a chorizo and egg taco they definitely should be able to afford to provide I salsa per taco. (I shall say the tacos were good as was the green salsa :p....this is why they are receiving at the most 1 star) TL;DR Do not go to this place after 9 am but with the customer service this place provided I wouldnt ever go. Take the additional 20 seconds to drive down the street to Ricos. They have several tacos for .99 till 11 am and will happily provide 1 salsa per taco. (FYI--Ricos is closed on Mondays)

Best Mexican Food In San Antonio? PFFFTT!!! I had better food from Taco Cabana. First of all, no one greeted us as we came in. Second, they charge you for every single thing. Every single Mexican restaurant Ive been to serves complimentary chips and salsa, YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM. My order should have been at least $8 bucks, but with everything extra they charge you for it was almost $13. Thirdly update your online menu, its very misleading and there are a lot of inconsistencies compared to the actual menu they have inside. Also, they refused to serve limes/lemons with our mini tacos! What Mexican establishment in their right mind doesnt serve limes/lemons with their food? I want my money back. You guys dont deserve it and you dont deserve that one star I had to give you.

Im very picky when it comes to my breakfast tacos; especially my carne guisada & barbacoa tacos,Ohhh an the tortillas not only have to be fresh, pero they have to be REAL Tortillas,lol, NOT those cardboard or plastic ones that some of them fake ass "Mexican Restaurants" be using. And I dont have to worry but none of that here #@LosJalapenos cause errthangs GREAT there, from the service to the food... & the 2 beautiful women that work there dont hurt matters either.... I ORDERED TACOS FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR OUR BUSINESS , HAD IT DELIVERED, WE MADE SURE WE CALLED IN BEFORE 9 AM WE ACTUALLY CALLED IN AT 8:58 (*THE RECEIPT SHOWS IT) , WHEN I GOT MY RECEIPT I WAS BEING CHARGED 1.69 A TACO, I CALLED TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER AND HE SAID HIS CALLER ID SHOWS 9:01 MINE SHOWS 8:58 NEEDLESS TO SAY THE SCREWED ME OUT OF MONEY, NOT TO MENTION IT TOOK 45 MINUTES TO GET HERE AND I WORK 3 BLOCKS FROM THEM... I PAID 25.00 AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 15 BECAUSE OF THIS WE WILL BE TAKING OUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE ..

Great food flour tortillas made the right way. As far as tacos best tasting and they also customize your tacos yes its expensive compare to the cheap ones keyword cheap. As far as the rest the of the menu breakfast wise my favorite is huevos divorciados and lunch wise gorditas plate. But make sure the restaurant is Los Jalapeños 6387 Babcock Rd, San Antonio, TX 78240 because there are a lot of jalapeños restaurants with different owners and quality of food. So go to the right one.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I was displeased with one of my breakfast tacos and had asked for it to be taken off my ticket. I had only bit the taco once and the manger stood there and argued with me and said that there was nothing she could do because I had already bit it and was going to have to pay for the taco anyway. If youre not satisfied theyre not going to care. So dont waste your time or your money, these people are anal.

Best breakfast tacos Ive ever had I would even be bold enough to say the best in San Antonio. They make the flour taco shells every day. 5 dollar credit minimum so bring ca$h if you only want two tacos. Most if the stuff they make us fresh and homemade. All fresh lol! Please go and try you wont regret it.

Ive been in San Antonio for almost 20 years and have tried many places. By far the best low priced mexican fast food is here. The tortillas are very large and made fresh when you order them. We stop by every weekend and pick up a dozen (under $4). They are always friendly and the food is delicious.

This place doesnt even deserve one star, its just the only option I had. BAD BAD SERVICE I cannot stress enough. Took 15 minutes to seat us and then they took someone who was BEHIND us first and NEVER checked on us once after getting our food out!!! WORST JALAPEÑOS EVER!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!

I had the enchilada plate. It was very tasty and flavorful. The red salsa was perfect. Waitstaff is very friendly and prompt. The tortillas were homemade and not store bought. At least thats how they tasted. Definitely coming back for lunch break!

I thought the tacos were fantastic, I bought tacos for my shop and didnt have a single complaint from my guys. The price was a little high but whatever. Staff was friendly. I had no issue like the previous commenters. Ill be returning.

The service was absolutely terrible. Very rude. They dont even pretend to be nice. Also what kind of mexican restaurant doesnt have chips and salsa. If you want a decent meal in a clean establishment I would stay far away!!!!!!!!!!

The food is great! Thanks to the cooks. Store owner son very polite and waitress very polite, but the OWNER is very rude. She should really be thankful her place is up and running because on her own she would be nothing!
