My company buys breakfast tacos often from this restaurant. They are good and we generally enjoy them and spend between $50.00 and $60.00 each time we buy. However, the management of this establishment leaves a lot to be desired. Today, I tried calling to place our to go order for almost an hour and got a busy signal each time. I finally drove to the restaurant to place the order. I attempted to order egg, bacon and cheese tacos only to be told they had run out of bacon. I couldnt believe it since there is a great meat market right next door. Anyway, I order 3 different kinds of tacos, all without bacon. As I sat waiting for the order, I called their number several times just to see if someone was actually on the phone. They werent. The simply took it off the hook. To my amazement, the next six or seven people that ordered breakfast tacos with bacon and had no problem getting it. I believe the two people working out front were overwhelmed (they were very busy) but their way of dealing with it was to take the phone off the hook and deny a customer what they wanted out of convenience for themselves. Very sloppy management and a sure fire way to go out of business. Well be buying our breakfast tacos elsewhere in the future.

This restaurant is so close to our house and my husband and I have heard so many good things about it-Especially the menudo. We finally went to try it one Sunday morning and my husband ordered the menudo. The waiter came back to say the cook was hung over and partied too hard the night before so didnt make any. He ordered the chilaquiles instead. While they were delicious, my potato breakfast tacos were bland( Carne asada meat was wonderful) but the tortillas all had a faint taste of some sort of cleaning product. My husband still wanted to try the menudo, so we went back the next weekend. Again no menudo. We went to Magues instead and they were amazing,had wonderful tacos and my husbands menudo. Still, he wanted to try Las Cruces menudo. I called this morning before we got in the car this time and again... No menudo. Having a hung over cook is a great way to run a restaurant, guys. Good job.

Food is consistently good. The service during lunch is consistently slow. They are always 1-2 people understaffed. I talked to one of the owners Nancy about it. She just said, "well its the lunch hour". Not sure she really cared. They stay so busy I suppose she doesnt think she has to care. So plan on a full one hour from sit to finish if you go between 11:45a-1:15p. Nancy, look at the other reviews... you need to care!

I buy tacos here 2-4 times a week, mainly because i still havent found another taco place around.. check your tacos(bacon turns into potatos), tea (sweet ends up unsweet), and grab your own napkins because they wont give you any, i can forgive most stuff having worked in food service before, but it happens more often than not, which to me shows a lack of interest in getting their job right.

Portions were plentiful and they have a very wide variety of food options. The have burgers and mozzarella sticks, which was a nice surprise for a Mexican restaurant. We ordered two entrees, two drinks, and an appetizer and our bill came out to be around $22. Great prices and we had plenty of yummy leftovers for later. Will definitely return!

3.5 stars. Esposa and I stopped for lunch here. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was good to very good, but certainly not "the best" of anything as other reviewers state. Were moving out to this area soon and will likely return to try it again. If return visits impress me, Ill update my review accordingly.

We stopped here because of the name. I thought I would get Las Cruces, NM style cooking. I expected to see something with Hatch green chilies, I did not, but the food here is excellent and if I can find the place again...well be back.

Some of the most mediocre Tex Mex food in the San Antonio area. Not much cheese in the cheese enchiladas and the beef fajitas had a lot of grizzle. Red and green salsas were good as was the service. Net net.......Im never going back

Breakfast tacos are well filled. The bacon used is crisp & tasty. Cheese enchiladas are excellent as well as the flautas! Just a simple spot for enjoying good Mexican food with good service!!!

Used to love to eat locally and take my dog to eat on the patio. Recently, every time I go they say outdoor dining is not an option (dirty, hot, etc.). Wont get my business anymore. So sad.
