There are not many places I can compare to back home when it comes to eating pizza at 46th st pizza. I admit I was skeptical to try being that I am from upstate NY, but once I tasted it I was hooked. The crust isnt overly doughy like many of the generic pizza shops and it isnt a thin crust wafer either. The quality is second to none. I like to order the feta pizza or the meat lovers, but just to warn you that if you order this your pizza is exploded with meat. Ive also tried their meatball sub and ham and cheeze. Very good, but in this department I am used to a little doughier bread, but if you like a crispy bread than this is superb. Their cheesecake is delicious. Their CALZONES are AWESOME! The pastas are excellent, but arent my favorite since I am used to pasta being loaded with veggies (onions, black olives, tomatoes, capers, etc). Overall, one of my favorite casual dining restaurants in San Antonio!

Although their customer service is outstanding! I cannot say the same for their pizza and subs. The pizza was much too greasy, the sauce was not appetizing and the cheese had trouble staying on. It tasted more like cardboard with some tomatoes and rubbery cheese. The sub sandwiches we had were gross. There was way too much bread for the amount of meat. They put chunks of romaine lettuce, chunks of tomatoes and too much Italian dressing inside the sandwich. It was more like a Ceasar salad with a little meat in between two giant loaves of dry bread. I only went there because I found out that VJs had closed!!! I was so disappointed. I think these 5 star reviews are from friends.... I dunno. I will not be back. On the plus side....the place is very clean since its brand new, and the employees were so very friendly. But that doesnt make for appetizing food.

Not bad at all. Ive been eating here since they first opened in 2010 but I especially like the meatball and sausage parmigiana sandwiches. The calzone is pretty decent. Its too bad they dont sell pizza slices all day like a real New York pizzeria. Pretty clean and the service is good. The pizza is pretty close to the New York style and would recommend it to another fellow New Yorker. I need to try the desserts one day. Shout out to the South Bronx! ^5

My family and I ordered a medium Pesto Pizza for carry out. The total was around 20 and I thought not a bad price. But when I saw the pizza it was a nightmare! Crust was soggy, to much olive oil, little tiny pieces of chicken, not red but yellow onions, and the tomatoes were slice so thin they were see-threw:( Very disappointed and will never order again from here!

AWESOME, AWESOME Best pizza around. I dont know what Stefanie is talking about. Although I also liked VJs, this is a better pie. It is a traditional New York pizza and it rocks. Highly recommended to those not addicted to the pizza chains. Our go to" pizza joint. We take out of town guests there and get rave reviews.

If youre not in NYC but want authentic pizza from there, go to this place. Ive been to three of their locations and its been amazing every time. Im from Philly originally and this place even outdoes a lot of pizza shops there.

Didnt know this place existed! I was hungry pulled into parking lot went in and tried the 46 th special sandwich. It was big, filling, and boy it was good! Cant wait to try their pizza! I spent under $9 including a coke!

What a great place. The pasta dishes are freshly made and the pizzas with their garlic sauce are delicious. This beats the fast food pizzerias hands-down. there is always a crowd which goes to show their popularity.

Wife and I ordered two medium specialty pizzas. We were not that I impressed, actually, we wont be back for their pizza and maybe nothing else? I am from Jersey and their pizza does not compare.

Only got a pepperoni pizza ,but I liked it. Only complaint would be I thought it was a touch to cheesy and not enough sauce, but that is just me being picky. Will I order again, yes

Great food, hospitality and the overall quality is exceptional. Although having to pay for sides of ranch with a $50+ pizza order is annoying.

Excellent New York style pizza. Not open on Sundays though :( good sit down atmosphere but we usually do take out. Highly recommended.

I cant claim to be a New Yorker, but this is some great pizza. The staff is polite and the price seems comparable to a chain joint.

Loved their pizza until I got one that had pubic hair on it. Sent in a complaint via their website, no reply. Never again.
