This is the real place to go for barbeque in Rockwall! My mother and I had lunch today, and we were both so happy to have picked the right place for brisket plates and brisket-stuffed baked potatoes! The brisket was tender and the sauce was just the right mix of sweet, tangy, and smoky. We both chose jalapeño cornbread, and werent even disappointed by the rolls, which were moist and perfectly hot. Mom loved her meal, and I loved mine! Everyone was friendly there, and we are planning on coming back for breakfast and dinner sometime. Thank you Cole Mountain!

Unfortunately our experience at Cole Mountain was very lackluster. If you like lukewarm, bland, expensive cafeteria food, please come. Golden Corral is way better cafeteria food. If you want better BBQ than a dried out flavourless slab of brisket, go to Intrinsic. Its worth it. We also waited 15 min between the time the first plate came and the second plate came out. I was done eating before my husband got his food. We wont be back.

Woman who took order was more concerned with something other than my order. Asked to add okra to my order and she seemed annoyed. Hoped food would make up for customer service. Sadly disappointed. Chopped beef was huge chunks not chopped and very dry along with the pulled pork. Ive had better bbq sauce from a bottle. Used a Groupon and saved alot of money but will never return.

Would not recommend Rockwall location at all! Terrible experience! Paid way too much!! No atmosphere to speak of and the food was not good either. My wife ordered a salad and did not get. I got sick from the soured mash potatoes! Neither one of us finished our food. And it was hot in the restaurant! Will not go back!!! The one in Terrell, we would recommend.

Food was great. American homestyle cooking. Chicken fried chicken is my favorite, but quite literally, everything is good. Mashed potatoes, green beans, potato salad; all of it reminds me of food cooked by my grandmother. The barbecue is great, too. We have been here many times, plan on coming back many, many times.

Food is great. Plate lunches and burgers are fantastic. The people who work there are awesome. I wish more people knew how good it is because we were the only people there for lunch on a Friday.
