Dinkers has been voted the Best Burger in Omaha many times. I havent eaten at every burger place in town, so I wont go out on a limb and say theyre the best, but the burgers we had were really good. Enjoyed both the Steak House and the Hay Stack Burgers. Both were cooked as ordered. You can tell the meat is high quality, low in fat because there is barely a trace of grease on the bun or in the basket. Personally, I like the flavor a little more fat brings to a burger, but again, thats just me. Fixings on the burgers were fresh and tasted great. Onion rings were actually onion strings and a bit greasy, but tasted very good. Wings - classic Buffalo wings (boned and no boned (not on the menu)) were a bit hot for my mouth, but Im a wimp when it comes to hot sauces. The home made Ranch was good for dipping. Both the gizzards and Rocky Mountain Oysters were flavorful, meaty, and no buried under a lot of fried coating. Some things to know before you go - Cash only. There is an ATM in the bar. Street parking only. When you walk in start looking for a table and grab the first available, then round up your orders and send someone to place them. Food will be brought to your table. An Omaha classic for sure, with very good food, really quick kitchen (place was full with March Madness games on every screen).

Were not from Omaha. We did some reading to find the best burger in the city and our research took us to two places, Dinkers being one of them. If you havent been before, you have to get your bearings quickly. You order at the counter, which is in the back of the restaurant, so I stood there like an idiot while people stared at me trying to figure out what I was supposed to do when we walked in. Finally someone directed me to the back. You order your food at the counter, and there will be a line. The place was packed out on a Friday night. It was noisy and full of energy. After you order, you have to order drinks separately at the bar, so youll pay twice. Cash only. Again, CASH ONLY. The burger was fantastic. Thick, juicy, full of flavor. The onion rings were top notch as well, and they give you plenty. We also got some mac and cheese bites, which were really tasty. After trying both of the places top-listed in the city, I think we can agree that Dinkers really is Omahas best burger.

My friend had been raving about how amazing this location is and I decided to try it. I ordered over the phone and when I arrived I waited in line, once my turn I spoke to the cashier and she told me my balance and I was reaching into my pocket to get my money and she said told me if I could hurry up because she had customers waiting in a huge line. I understand having a huge line but I think that is something you do not say to a paying customer unless they really are taking your time like going to the car or digging through their purse but I was just take the money out of my jackets pocket. The food was good but that day I was very disappointed with her customer service especially since it was the first time trying it.

Met up with family here. Got the buffalo wing burger. Has great onion rings. Burgers are hot, juicy and fresh. I have had the Jay burger before and I think I prefer that one the best. A unique protocol to know is, you order at the counter at the back of the restaurant and then you order drinks separately at the bar. Plan to have cash. There is an ATM in the restaurant. Service is a notch above average. You have to ask for silverware. It is very popular, so you might need to sit at the bar during peak hours. I dont drink alcohol so cant attest to that part of the menu. The food is heavy so come hungry!

Personally, I think its the best burger in the Omaha Metro. The Haystack has a slab of ham and an egg on top, and the bacon for a topping is top notch. They have a full bar with Stella Artois on tap, among other beers and drinks. Bring cash... They dont accept cards. Order your food, and pay for it at the grill, then order and pay for drinks at the bar. If youre into it, they also do Keno. Great neighborhood bar.

Every time we visit Omaha we hit up Dinkers. It is a no brainier. I literally spent years looking for the best burgers in Omaha and found it. The onion rings and a burger = good times. The staff is amazing. If I lived in Omaha I would eat there weekly and try other things than the burgers, but them burgers are all I can get every time. So good

When entering the first time it can be overwhelming. The place was hopping during the entire visit and the food was great. My burger was a tad over cooked but still had good flavor. The onion rings were fresh made from scratch too. Service was fast (especially due to the volume of people) but it was never too loud to have a conversation.

Great Burgers! I got the Patty Melt and it was great. My only concern was I think the sauteed onions were forgotten on my melt. Make sure to ask for fries instead of chips with your order and youll need to pack some cash (there is an ATM in the establishment.) Definitely a must if you live burgers and are in Omaha, NE!

Worth the wait. Burger was substantial and tasty, cooked well done (some people have a problem with that, I personally prefer my burgers rare, but it was still tasty). Service was fantastic, people were friendly, place was hopping. Great ambiance. Definitely will return!

Basically like having a home made burger. It was pretty good. Grandsons, age 16 and 12 enjoyed. The double burger was too big for me to finish. I did detect a slight tang to the burger, such as burger gets when its just ready to turn bad but hasnt quite yet.

Great burgers, not exceptional, but good. Great fries. I would recommend. Very inexpensive at $5 a burger, and the burgers are very filling. Has a kids menu. Some outdoor seating, not much. I went at 2:30 pm, and it was still busy.

Great burgers for a fair price. It is a hole in the wall. Seat yourself, order drinks at one counter, and food at a different . They do bring the food. Dont forget to look at back wall for the special.

Awesome joint. Ive never been here before but heard lots of great things. It did not disappoint. Fyi while the food is cheap, the portions are not so dont order a double unless this is your only meal!

It has that hole in the wall feel. I have been going here on St Patricks day for several years. Good food, TV for sports dart boards and pool tables. The food is great and the prices are great

The best burger joint in Omaha! Its been open since 1965 and they have been perfecting their craft ever since. It is a neighborhood bar and restaurant and its a good place to bring your kids.
