Had a very enjoyable meal. One of the owners is a celiac so the restaurant can completely take care of anyone in your party that needs that. I had the lime and coconut drink. It was not your standard tiki drink and was excellent, not to sweet and all natural. Big frozen thing, perfect for a summer beach visit. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. FYI, Port Aransas is a mess on the weekend with all the people coming over. Every decent restaurant on the island is going to be jammed with drunk partiers and cranky kids. The staff will be maxed out. Dont hold that against whatever restaurant you went to. If you want relaxing, go during the week.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! was hoping for good but ended up really bad! they sat us outside because they had no room indoors but when we sat down, people were going in. we had mosquitoes biting us the whole time we were there. they took over an hour to get us our food and it was warm, not hot. as for the price, 40 bucks for a steak is something you pay when you have good service. not a place like that. ive gotten way better steaks at other places (longhorn steak house). when we were leaving, we noticed that the people upfront, by the entrance had bug spray, and that was never offered to us. so, that is one place we will not visit again!

Rude snobby staff that wont seat you unless you drive up in a car they deem worthy. Seriously walked into this place, 3 people looked us over then asked if we needed something, we asked to be seated and they rolled their eyes and then walked away......a hostess then walked up, ignored us then answered the phone and took a reservation. Looking in the restaurant there were 4 open tables but somehow there was no way for them to seat us.....I hope the owners get word of how off putting their staff and how the business is run. Avoid this place like the plague unless you come in a tuxedo.

We used to visit The Phoenix when it was a hole in the wall on beach st. It hasnt lost its quality one bit! We visit at least a couple times a year and will continue to as long as its an option. Today, 6/11/17, we have visited the new location for about the 7th time in 2 yrs. Jamie was our waitress this evening and its never been better and she was no different! Thx for serving quality food with top notch service!!!

Lovely choice for our Twentieth Anniversary. Willing to spend a bit because we wanted something special -- and the entrees and atmosphere certainly did not disappoint! Sea Scallops with truffle oil were flavorful and filling. Butternut squash risotto -- which my caterer-wife said can be hard to do well -- was awesome. Crab Cakes were the best shes ever had, including on the Chesapeake. Ambiance is fun.

Sushi Dave rules!!! Go Dave go! Roll another one, just like the other one. Some of the best sushi on the Island. The only thing that would have made it better would be some sophisticated jazz from a muted trumpet playing Miles Davis and Satchmo. That would REALLY give this place the extra class to put it over the top. Still gets 5 stars for great service and food.

Worst service ever! The server was rude and took his time bringing us anything. My son dropped his corn dog basket on accident because it was placed on the edge. The server said it was our fault so we we charged for both. Everyone just seemed like they were in a bad mood. The food was ok but I will never come back and I dont recommend to anyone

Server came by our table 2 times. We waited about 45 minutes just to try to order. We left. Our waitress was gone for about 15 minutes then walked around helping other tables all while looking at us but never coming by our table to even check on us. Never going back!

My son loved the pasta with butter and parmesan cheese off the kids menu. I had sushi and it was pretty good. Be prepared to wait, this place is popular. They take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. We only had to wait about 15 minutes.

Served outside with hundreds of mosquitos swarming us. The solution from the staff was to use the can of Off and spray down. They should have seated us inside after a table became available and not let us get eaten up by the mosquitos. Wont go back.

The ONLY way to experience this place is outside. I have had hit and miss experience here. The best times were outside at a table or at the bar. Inside dining experience was not so great. Sushi Dave brings his A game!

Great food, friendly staff. Looks like they have made some upgrades to the lighting, seating. Very good atmosphere. Had to wait a while for the food but it was worth it. Try the Turkey Heaven. Absolutly amazing.

Love this place! Great ambience, exciting menu with something for everyone. Bar service is always good, sushi is off the charts! Blue crab fingers and crab cakes are a must, as is the tuna stack!
