Not safe for those with peanut allergies, and staff is nice but poorly trained and ignorant. I asked if they used peanut oil in their food. The staff didnt know. There is no signage or anything posted on their website for parents to check. I talked to the manager. He said that the ribs used peanut oil but that the sides were separate and totally safe. He looked at me like I was crazy when I kept questioning him. "Yes, they are fine," I was told. The "duh" was implied. As I was at a family function where my family had already gotten their food, I warily fed my young son a couple sides and had the epipen at the ready. He didnt eat much. When I got him home, he had a reaction. His skin swelled up and his entire back and torso was covered in a terrible rash. I called the nurse, gave him medicine, was up all night. The reaction lasted many, many hours. In this age of rising food allergies, Im extremely disappointed in Spring Creeks poor training and lack of communication on their website. Frankly, it would be nice if businesses would understand how serious it is--peanut oil can kill. Is a little flavor worth it? My mother, who has spent many thousands of dollars at Spring Creek catering their food for her business, told me she will never buy their food again. Its more personal when its your grandson. But then, everyone should care about the lives of children who cant help that they have food allergies. You would think differently if it were your child.

The staff was helpful and cheerful. The fresh baked bread is definitely tasty. If you say "please" when ordering at the counter apparently theyll give you extra meat. That said, I have no idea why youd want extra anything from this place. The brisket was moist but Ive had more flavorful beef from a Wal-Mart deli counter. The BBQ sauce was equally as disappointing. The sides were bland and I have no idea what they did to that potato salad and Im not going to ask. Youre in Texas. Do yourself a favor and find some tiny hole in the wall that has mind blowing meats and sides that taste so good you want to go back for thirds. Just avoid Spring Creek.

Visited this establishment on September 1, 2014 for a take out order. The employee was about to take my order when I saw a very small black bug moving around the pad he was writing on. I exclaimed IS THAT A ROACH? He never said a word - he just crushed it with his hand! After that I said Im sorry. I cant and left the restaurant. I wanted to warn the people behind me about what I had witnessed but I did not. They have an infestation problem - but they wont have the problem of me or my family/friends coming there ever again.

The brisket and peppered sausage were the best Ive tasted in Mesquite and the second best Ive ever tasted. The baked potato and bread were also great, but the ribs were a bit cold. The staff cutting the meat were friendly and sang as they worked, and the woman passing out the bread to the tables was polite, too. Ill definitely be going back.

0 stars if I could! Rude! Rude! Rude! And the Manager is no better! If you dont enjoy your job then why stay there?? Look for something else its not that hard! Im never coming back and I will also tell everyone I know about my horrible experience here and will tell them not to come!

Spring Creek is not the down home BBQ place Texas is famous for but it is a great place to get decent, mass-produced BBQ. It is a chain so dont expect any special dishes prepared on certain days. Big Pros are the hot rolls that are brought around and the chopped baker.

horrible. waited for about 25 minutes for ONE plate. did not get my bread with my order bc they ran out. when asked for the bread they said it would be another 15 minutes and were completely rude about it. would never come back to this location ever again.

Would give this place a zero but there is no option too....very bad customer service !!!! They were not enjoying having to be at work this place has no respect....Manager sent employee to talk instead of himself..... Bad leadership

We have long been customers of Jeramy and Jennifer who own this restaurant. We have never been disappointed. Creative menu paired with a wonderful wine selection. Service is beyond compare. Always a great experience and value.

The last three times I have been there was not good. Ribs have been ends & hard...too tough to eat. Last time ribs were cold. Two of three times no one brought rolls to our table. I will not be back.

Food here is very good, always fresh. The staff is awesome. Theres a giant pot hole in the parking lot, someone should look into it. Otherwise, definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
