Well it was Valentines Day so I understand its busier than normal. Which can explain the fact that we waited 10-15 minutes for someone to come by our table after being seated. Awkwardly enough though they had all noticed us waiting because our waitress says so yall havent been waited on I see and they made me do it since yall are angry. Yes we were upset but showed no signs of it. However its common sense when waitresses keep walking by ignoring you that yeah youre probably perturbed. But we were very courteous of course as our waitress was sweet as could be and was the one that got "stuck" with us after our long wait. Then we got our food. I typically dont order burgers at restaurants but supposedly they are known for their burgers. I dont understand why. It was served to me in a pile of grease. Literally a pile. Im sure it was at least two tablespoons in the basket. So disgusting. I picked up the burger and the bottom bun was soaked in it as it dripped out of the burger. The onion rings had no flavor. I ordered a second drink and never got it. What a way to disappoint some customers and even worse with it being Valentines Day. Just dont go here ok..... Too many better options in the area. (:

The wedding venue seems very sketchy, because my fiance calls she gets a quote of $1,200 and we were also going to have them cater so would also pay per head for every one to eat and plus bar which the bar is only open for an hour they dont take care of anything else but she calls to get everything set up no one answers and no calls back so I call and they turn around and tell me $3000 and they wont back there first offer. So, what happens if they decide to jack up the price more am I going to have to pay more if they jack up the price even more because they feel like it. Ive been talking back and forth with them and its starting to be too much of a headache and too stressful to deal with this place as a wedding venue especially when they wont back there first price given out.

Finally, after 45 minutes she checked on me and took my plate after I told her that the chicken was grisely and the fries cold. She came back with a new order of everything, including the mashed potatoes which there was nothing wrong with but instead of just getting me a new order of chicken and the fries, it was a whole new order of everything. Then, it all tasted like it should and was delicious. Other than spending over an hour and a half ordering and eating, in the end it was a pleasant experience. I guess everyone has a bad day/night but everything was made right.

Not only does this place serve the best burgers in this growing German town, but come Thursday they have the best Turkey Dinner for lunch!! But you best arrive early because theyll sell out in matter of moments! Their doors open at 11am, so I suggest you arrive early! Because those phones will be ringing in orders too. They have a secret recipe for their stuffing, and its THAT good to sell out quick!!

Was told at the door that "we could be seated immediately but there is an one hour wait for food". Told them that was fine but still had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. Fried mushrooms were good ( only reason they got 2 stars instead of one). Everything else was average. Charge an extra $2 for french fries with the burgers and only give you a small amount. The "Bucket List" burger was average.

We were there last night and I have to say that I was disappointed. The food took almost an hour to come out, and we finished our burgers before our onion rings made it to the table almost 10 minutes later. The onion rings had the perfect texture, but no flavor at all. We sat outside where it was very cold and windy, but the heaters gave just enough heat to keep us from freezing, so thats a plus.

The atmosphere itself is great! Do not call in an order for takeout because you are last man on the totem pole and you will get it when you get it. Took me an hour to get a call in order. The order was to be ready in 30 minutes. Got there 30 minutes later. They said it would be another 10 . 30 minutes after that is when I got my order. Just not worth the hassle.

Great country ambiance. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was not busy. They have a few craft beer selections on draft and happy hour til 6pm. The burgers were good but a little heavy on pepper. The sweet potato fries were awesome. There was no room for dessert this time. Beer and 1/4lb burger for less than $12 bucks.

WOW , The food is amazing, good old fashioned burgers, cant find those anymore, but there at Friheits!!! The onion rings are to die for. Friend of mine had chicken fried steak,he said it was probably one of the best he ever had. Is funny that theres some bad reviews. I guess the place isnt for everyone.

Food is great but this is the second time now that I called in a to go order and they told me it would take 15 minutes and it ended up taking 50 minutes. I only have a thirty minute lunch break which is why I call it in and now Im late getting back to the hospital. I wont be going back.

Worst food I ever got. I got a patty melt and it felt like the bread was soaked in water the patty had been sitting there for a couple of hours, and I ordered a mushroom burger and I looked so gross and fries that were half cooked still white and cold! Never going back again.

This will be a very simple review. They have the BEST burgers in town. Nobody comes close. Atmosphere is homey, staff is down home and very friendly. Cant be beat. Do not go anywhere else for burgers when in Texas. Not just New Braunfels....when in the state of Texas.

The burgers were awsome, the joint was clean but the waiter assumed what I wanted and didnt listen to what I wanted. In all fairness, he could have been having a bad day. I will definitely go back and give him another shot. .The food was that good.....and Im picky.

Great burgers and atmosphere. The waitress I had was attentive and my Shiners kept coming. The sweet rolls for the burgers was perfect. Cant say its the number 1 burger in town, but its up there. Worth going back to for the laid back atmosphere and friendly staff.

Came with a party of 6 people. Food came out cold burger and fries were cold. When we asked for new fries our fries were just tossed back in the frier were brought back to us. Very disappointed because I have been here before and it was good the last time. Sad.
