I love Market Street. They have all the gourmet, organics and specialty items AND regular groceries as well. Their fried chicken in the deli is awesome. They have great clearance items if you catch them at the right time. Everyone there is courteous and respectful. They will carry out your groceries for you every single time, even if you have only one bag. In fact, there isnt even places to return the carts in the parking lot because they have people there to take them back up to the store. Unlike other specialty grocery stores, you can find regular items priced comparably to other stores and they often have great sales. When they have buy one get one free, its really that. Albertsons had chicken breasts buy one get two free but the one pack of 3 pre-seasoned breasts was 15 dollars! Rip off! At Market Street they had buy one get one free chicken breasts and they were priced normally at around 3 or 4 dollars. They have a great salad bar, great sushi bar, awesome soups and the breakfast pizza is a favorite at my office. They also have a juice bar and coffee bar as well. They also have a variety of Texas made products. I drive past three grocery stores to go to Market Street. Overall, I cant stop raving about Market Street and I dont say that about any other grocery store except HEB (not central market, just regular HEB) and unfortunately we do not have them in North Texas.

A recent visit to Mkt Street was less than desirable. My sons pasta, that he ordered from the bar, had several hairs incorporated in the meal and my potato salad, that came with the chicken salad sandwich, had a blue rubber band mixed in. I called Mkt Street as soon as we discovered our meals were less than perfect and my husband took the uneaten meals back to the store for a refund. I have not ordered food from them since as it "grossed" me out. My most recent visit resulted in a double charge of an item. I have not addressed that issue and probably will not. So, I would suggest to check your receipt before leaving and your meals for that matter. I still love the store; my daughter worked there all through high school; it is one of my favorites!

Overall, the concept of Market Street is great but food is not always fresh, especially the pre-packaged & pre-prepared foods (salad bar, food bar, food in containers near the deli, etc.) It regularly spoils after one day. In addition, the produce doesnt last as long as produce from other places. Although, the store is very convenient to me and I still go there, I often find myself frustratingly driving 25 minutes each way to either Central Market or Whole Foods to get fresh produce or healthy pre-prepared meals. As an alternative, we drive to the Market Street in Allen (Watters Creek), as their food is much more fresh as well.

I hate to say it but there is no comparison between my McKinney Market Street and Market Street in Amarillo. The staff here seems to be so harmonious, same happy people every time you come in. They seem to care about hiring quality people too. The WH and produce employees KNOW their food - even the exotic veggies and spices. When I had to shop in Amarillo, I longed for a Whole Foods or Central Market. Now in McKinney, I think this Market Street is easily on par with any Central Market! Keep up the excellent work. By the way, I am a trained chef, I like going where they care about cleanliness and excellence.

Absolutely my favorite grocery store of all time! Employees are always very cheerful and happy to help, the meat and produce is always high quality and the prepared food is often better than restaurant quality. I get lunch or dinner from here several times a week. My favorites are the pizza, steak sandwiches and the (cold) broiled steak with two sides. Bonus: they sell Ginos East frozen deep dish Chicago style pizza. My only complaint is the straws. The paper wrapper is too tight so the straw is frequently damaged while removing the wrapper.

This particular Market Street is not a bad option for a quick trip if something was forgotten during a large scheduled trip to my often frequented grocery stores or a local BIG, BIG, BIG (read: bulk) box store. This store has a wide selection of local beers, pretty decent grilling options, a small in-house sushi counter, a deli, a bakery, a salad bar and a coffee "corner" on the south side of the store. As such, it makes for an easy stop for a quick bite or sip as well.

From Austin, Texas, I have sent gift baskets to McKinney a few times, and have been completely satisfied every time. They have been very careful about food allergies, item preferences, etc. Patricia is so pleasant to deal with on the phone! I just call Market Street and have them deliver the basket locally. I pay a normal delivery charge, of course, but save long-distance florists ultra pricey phone order charge. Its win-win!

Incredible fresh produce, well stocked seafood & meat department. Knowledgeable & helpful staff. A little overpriced on household staples (i.e. toilet paper, dish soap, butter, bread, milk...etc) but the variety of grocery & speciality items availability is comparable to HEBs Central Market, or a Whole Foods. McKinney Market Street is absolutely #1 for superb customer service.

The employees here were extremely nice to me and my daughter. We were looking at the free fruit they have gor kids when the guy came over said he didnt like the selection and gave my daughter something right off the shelf of good stuff. She enjoyed her pple the whole time. And their very clean inside which is always nice. 2 thumbs up from me and 2 more from my little girl.

Great salad bar, lots of choices, excellent taste. You just pick a clear food container and fill it up with whatever you would like. they weigh it @ checkout and it usually cost me $8 to $9. All of the produce is top-notch and fresh. I love the Sumo oranges! The store is clean. I just wish it was a little less expensive and I would grocery shop there always.

.... Excellent on all points. The produce, veggies and fruits section, is outstanding. Everything is fresh and well displayed. The staff is attentive and very helpful. They actually walk you to an item if you dont know where it is. A great place to shop, and their cafe is outstanding. Good shopping experience. ....cc...

Love this store. Bill "The Cheese Sample Man" is fantastic. Knows his product. Meat market is awesome.... although... have found them making mistakes between Angus and GTB cuts. Specialtie seasonings, sauces, marinades.... wow...list goes on. If you have a selective palete.... this is the store for you.

Usually, I really like Market Street. But I got the pasta dish that I had been getting there since they opened. The shrimp in were not cooked and they were the small salad shrimp rather than the larger ones they used to use. By the time I got back to the table my husband had already finished his dinner.

Market Street is a nice, albeit, expensive store. The clientele is arrogant but the employees are wonderful. Youll have fun in the prepared food area. Lots of delicious food to choose from with a nice cafe-esque area to sit and eat. Make sure to visit the nice little country store area upstairs.
