On vacation visiting from So. Ca. I was in town for 2 weeks and visited Grain to Glass twice. Wish I had been able to make more visits. I cant say enough good things about the place! Beer selections were many, along with a host of other delicious drinks. The food was outstanding! Nachos, burgers, pork rinds, desserts! Everything was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere and staff couldnt have been better. I will make it a point to visit Grain every time Im in town, and maybe visit Texas more often because of Grain! All I can say is that So. Cal. dont have nothing on you Grain to Glass!!!

As of this typing, this establishment has only been open about two weeks. In their own words, they are a restaurant that specializes in craft beer choices. They 32 on tap various craft specialty beers from Texas and the USA available in pints or flights. They had a great selection of sandwiches. My table tried out the nachos, macaroni cheeseballs, wings, sliders and fries. I would rate them on the food quality as OK, service as liked it and beer selection as loved it. This equates to 4 stars. If you like craft beer, this is the place for you.

I am loving the selection of beer!! Awesome selection, but they didnt carry one beer in particular that I had been wanting to drink for a while now. The staff however went above and beyond to try and replicate the beer for me. It didnt taste the same, but hey!! I give them points for trying!!! The food was good too. Good sized portions for the price. I couldnt finish my meal because it was a large sized portion. I cant wait to go back and try out some more beer!! Definitely recommend!!

Excellently curated craft beer list. Mitch our bartender is an awesome and learned professional in his craft. Steered us to some great choices. Flight options are as a group of 4 and (with 32 beers on tap) plentiful. Chicharron is tasty and the portion is enough to share with the whole bar. Pork sliders were cooked to perfection. Favorite brew from the evening was probably the Festina Pêche which is a Berliner Weissbier. So delicious. Stop in this place is worth a visit.

I havent been by as often, but this place is amazing! Ali, Mitchell, Adrian, and Trey are amazing staff members. Their food is great and the beer selection is always changing! And its not greasy bar food, its actually good good food. Plus they have trivia on Tuesdays and beer events on Wednesdays. In addition to great burgers (Poblano burger is great), they have pozole...! Yep, good ol pozole.

Great tap house with over 20 beers on tap from both Texas and nearby as well as farther afield like California and Michigan. Very knowledgeable staff can help pick out tastes you might like or give details to an already refined beer palette. There are also special event nights like one where you get to take home glassware from the breweries that you drink. Highly recommend a stop here!

The beer selection is great. The food isnt that good, but there are certain things that you can mod to make more palatable. The service is fair the servers are usually nice, but its rare that there hasnt been an error with my order and I still havent had a properly arranged beer flight there. Ive actually only had 1 server that had any knowledge about types of beer.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Had a rude waitress with blue hair. She had terrible customer service. She got annoyed when was not able to find credit card slip that was on floor. Instead of trying to solve the problem of the missing slip she just went straight to being confrontationally and blaming us as if we purposely let the wind blow it off.

I ran into this place by accident and what a wonderful find. The choices of beer are great most draft. Had the flight with four choices of beer and pulled pork nachos, great! Service was a bit slow but it was packed. Price was average for draft craft beer. Definitely what Mcallen needs. Small enough to feel personal. Will come again.

Craft beer flows freely and the pretzels are such a splurge! When I want to relax and enjoy a craft beer, Grain to Glass is always my first choice. I love the atmosphere, the service, and being introduced to new craft beers at this casual, neighborhood establishment.

YUM! If youre a burger and beer type of person (like me), then Grain to Glass is a MUST!!! Rotating craft beers with the option of a beer flight. And the burgers just top off the whole experience. Super casual atmosphere, but definitely unique.

This place is so awesome! Went the other day and they treated me so well. The bartender Adrian, so nice and handsome, he even turned up the TV volume when Space Jam was on! 5 thumbs up. Recommending this place to all my friends.

Wow the choices of different beers is awesome. I saw so many I have never heard of. I gad the veggie burger it was delicious. Service wants you to be satisfied so they are very helpful. I enjoyed the music as well.

Good pub food. Beer selection is pretty good, although Roosevelts is a lot more extensive and rotates stuff in and out more. Second favorite gastro pub next to Roosevelts. Trivia night on Tuesday is a blast.

G to G gets 4-5 stars for the beer selection, which is usually excellent. However, I have to deduct a star for the food menu, which is pretty limited. The food is somewhere between mediocre and good.

Pub Trivia on Tuesday nights is a lot of fun. They offer a wide selection of taps which regularly rotate. Food menu is a little limited but quality is good, occasional season plates are offered.

Good vibe on Trivia Night. Arrived too late to participate but enjoyed the atmosphere. We had the chicarrones which were good but they need to create a dipping sauce to go along the side.
