I saw the place one day and had been wanting to since its apparently the only 1 in Houston, so i went with my cus after he told me how good it was when he went. Food: Pizza - the pizza was great, new york style. Thin dough (not thin crust), plenty of sauce so that all your toppings just about slide off. Cheese was good and didnt seem cheap and covered the pizza well. The pepperoni was thicker and had more flavor, with no funny taste, quite oily too Fries - sucked bad! When you pay $5-6 for a Large, they shouldnt be store bought crinkled cut fries with alot of salt seasoning to be passed of for fries! Marinara Sauce - this sucked worse than the fries! It had some kinda peppers to it that made it not go well with the pizza or for sauce at all. My cus made me laugh cus he said it was like a chili sauce and hes not as critical as me. For me this sauce is outta its place at the pizza joint, cus it just dont go with anything; unless you want a pepper sauce thats funny tasting Place: is different from the over all pictures, more of a quick Italian red brick deco with a few tables and booths along the walls. The color is more of an off red or kinda faded red like the place has been better. Not the place you go on a 1st date unless you chillin, but more of a late night hangout Service: was fine nothing really stood out much, i think they got maybe one waitress who didnt check up on us much but it was cool, nothing was needed besides a refill. If it was something else then it would have been a problem. After the manager took our orders he became the waiter which was cool but then i guess when his buddies came were there or came in he chilled with them and we couldnt find or waitress for refills. She later came by again before we were done so we could get our refills. There werent but maybe 5 other customers besides the managers buddies which was another 5-6 which he was chilling all night with after our pizza came out. So service is either a hit or miss if you need something Over all: The "Stuffed" pizza means they just put another layer of dough on top and its not "Stuffed Crust"; DONT Pay Extra by accident! Aside from the above stuff the pizzas good, wouldnt say its the best for a quality pizza but is right above the chains by a min. Id go back again if in the area, but if want an even better pizza id go somewhere else (1/3/14)

The service while placing a call for delivery was rude and unprofessional. I had a few questions regarding their price changes and had to be transferred. The person who answered seemed impatient. I then asked to split the payment, since I had placed two orders to begin with, they tell me to hold on, and then I hear them complaining about my questions and requests, they could have waited until after they hung up the phone. I then got transferred to one more person. 3 people to place and order and pay for it. The first person may have been new, or just didnt want to think too hard. I simply asked the price for each item I ordered and she went really quiet. It was only two things, should not have been that difficult. This was my first and last time I order from there. I wasnt asking for anyone to bend over backwards or even for anything special, and thats the service I get? God forbid I needed anything else. My mistake for ordering when hungry!

Disclaimer: I was coming from drinking at a friends birthday party -At this point I was sobering up and the pizza was delicious. Necessary, after the night of people shoving drinks in front of me. So what made this experience so memorable? The dough on which the toppings rested. My friends paid a little more than I did for an entire pizza and I only asked for a slice. Wondering why I paid so much for a slice (nearly $7-8) I looked to the counter to ask, and then realized the words coming out of my mouth wouldnt be more than gutteral noises. -I sat down and my slice was brought to me, IT WAS THE LENGTH OF MY ARM. The first bite was as good as the last, their dough was crispy and the crunch of each bite lasted until I got to the crust. Then I devoured the crust. -Definitely coming back here when Im sober. -The cashiers were nice as I was doing magic tricks and using that to barter for pizza.

Rude. Rude. Rude management! After being unable to accept my initial order I called twice about rectifying it. I spoke with a manager who took my number to call me back, never did. Called back and spoke with an associate who relayed a message "from management" to me that I could have my original order + free breadsticks or wine etc. When I called back about this order another associate answered the phone and put the aforementioned manager on the phone. He proceeds to RAISE HIS VOICE and act insane without giving me a chance to speak or ask questions about what the prior associate told me etc. I only ordered from here because I live downtown and it was open late. Id rather starve than deal with rude, unprofessional MANAGEMENT. Free tip: you all might want to look into customer service training because from the look of these reviews Im not the only unsatisfied customer.

Gotham Pizza is a fantastic place with excellent service excellent pizza and very understanding and welcoming atmosphere I have only been here twice but each time I have felt welcomed and Ive had the best pizza and service ever. I am recently new to HTX and I am still getting used to local vibes, etc. I am a transplant from Austin where I always felt accepted and didnt feel judged. For awhile, Ive felt the opposite about HTX. I have learned that I was mistaken. Houston is an international city and very accepting; without any of the Austin pretentiousness or any of the DFW Dalitude. Once that is realized by an HTX newbie all becomes, well if you are one of these youll just have to discover that for yourself period like I have. Try Gotham Pizza downtown for example to achieve this simple fact!!! Most gratefully, the ever verbose, and unique. D.M. aka, the Fun_Run. ;-P

This review is solely of the pizza rolls. DANG! Those are so tasty, its possible that I will never have pizza again. The rolls come in orders of 4 or 8 and you get to stuff it with 3 items. Im a peperoni, bell peppers and onions gal and Im thinking Ill start adding cheese. The roll doesnt need cheese or sauce; its bursting with flavor! AND, the roll itself is baked to just the perfect consistency; its not too crunchy and its not too soft. I wish I could find a way to make this review longer, but theres not much to say about perfection!

Gotham pizza is located .63 miles away from me. We ordered our pizza, it said it should take about half any hour to get delivered. It took over an hour and 30 minutes to get delivered. By the time we finally got it was completely cold. The reason I gave this place a two star is because the pizza was still delicious but I would never order from this location again. We should of never tipped before delivery and they need to work on their customer service skills.
