Hit or miss, but mostly miss. Pros: 1.) Excellent food; definitely a step above expected bar food. 2.) Good patio area with lots of room and tables to hang out outside. 3.) Nice pool tables/seating areas on the wings of the building. Cons: 1.) When they rent out for parties youre stuck in the middle section which is dark/dreary, only low-top tables/booths, with little to no tv access for game watching. 2.) The service is awful the majority of the time. On occasion youll get a fantastic waiter/waitress but for the most part the majority of the wait staff meanders around talking to each other rather than working on their tables. I would NEVER complain about a one time incident but 4 out of 5 times my friends and I go were waiting 20 minutes for drinks, and the most recent time our waitress disappeared for 30 minutes (and it was NOT BUSY) before we could try to close our tabs and it took her another 20 minutes to close them. Ive pretty much written this place off considering there are other bars in the area with much better service. I dont ask for much when I go to a bar, but if our drinks are completely empty and have been for 20 minutes, thats pretty well unacceptable.

Some locations are good. THIS ONE SUCKED. 1) I checked the drink specials online before going. Upon arrival the waitress informed me "those specials online ARE ANCIENT" "We dont have those". Then we ordered a bucket of light beer that WAS on special and asked if it was 5 or 6 beers. She said it was 6. Then when she came back with 5 said..."oh sorry its only 5" We could have bought draught beer for the same price. 2) They are expensive. I ordered two well shots. They were $4.90 each. They werent even free poured , they were EXACTLY one shot, measured to the line on the glass. And why $4.90 instead of $5.00. Is this Wal-Mart? 3) I have been to TWO other Fox & Hounds. The one on 249, and the one in The Woodlands. They were both cleaner, had the beer specials mentioned on the website. And had a large expensive beer selection, but also a selection of craft beers that were on special for $3 every day. Also, this place is a sports bar. Not British. Go anywhere else. Houston is too big for this CRAP.

I loved going to this place when I first moved to the Westheimer area. I soon found that it was only cool on certain weekend nights and the wait staff dislike serving you on the patio, so dont smoke if you drink you must choose. I also noticed a foul odor in there every time. Once after having a couple of shots of cuervo and coronas I ordered the nachos...it was just me and the waitress seemed annoyed with me, the order was huge and distasteful. It was the middle of my off day during the middle of the week but she pretended like there was more to do. The music is 80s ish and if youre there trying to keep your cool they will kick you out. It was not Feng-shui enough to meet anyone really, feels like you are walking around a box. Ive to enjoyed myself at places that are far less pretentious and spent more money to boot.

Love coming here with co-workers but I did have one bad experience. 45 minutes for the waitress to finally put my food order in. I had to request my order 4 times on a moderately busy night as 30 minutes in as another waitress told me the order did not make it to the kitchen. Waitress literally did not seem to care about our table, maybe she was having a rough day. I consider myself pretty easy-going so I am sure another customer would have had a fit in that situation. The shift manager did step in and he did a phenomenal job of taking over/ taking care of us, hence no 1 or 2-star. The staff is usually pretty good otherwise, and the venue is low-key and draws a down to earth and fun crowd, so I am sure I will be back !

My boyfriend and I had an awesome experience here when I randomly looked up sports bars in the area to see a playoff game. We immediately planned our next visit halfway through the meal. :) As for the food, Whoever was in the kitchen this evening really did an outstanding job with quality control, every dish we had was spot on. Even for bar fare our food was not greasy, perfectly proportioned, and well seasoned. Usually a rare, rare attribute in a bar resturant. And the bar... The drink menu is unique and fun, with a lot of flavors and mixtures... It made me want to try them all! This will be our go-to spot for any sports event that we dont want to pay for! Woo!

I usually just come here for drinks and maybe some appetizers but tonight I was craving a steak at around 11 pm but all the usual good steak places were closed so I decided to come here since they were still open and had a steak on the menu. Let me tell you for $21 and for just a bar, this was probably the BEST steak Ive ever had in Houston! It was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor, you do not need any type of steak sauce on it at all! Even my boyfriend loved it and he doesnt really like American food. Now whenever I come, if Im hungry and got $21 on me, Im getting that steak, its my new favorite go to menu item now.

Spacious, well-lit, and a very good menu. The chicken fingers are top-notch! Also, trivia nights on Wednesday with Geeks Who Drink -- in a side room, so not competing with the general noise of the main room, and with a pretty decent sound system, so you can hear the questions well. Thats a big plus for me. Website advertises them as having "beer options border[ing] on endless," which is not remotely true. But they do have a very reasonable suggestion, and all but the most snobby will be able to find something to make them happy.

Let me start this off by saying, great food! The wait staff (one waitress and a bartender) was very overwhelmed (as there were 3 fantasy football drafts going on), and the manager offered absolutely no help. When we asked Chris (the manager) if he could get us something he went to find the waitress instead of helping us. Great job Chris! While your waitress busted her butt, you walked around chewing food, looking at the floor and changing a few TVs. And come to find out youre apparently from corporate!

I come here often, normally I have an ok experience no problems what so ever. But tonight idk, there was a fly in my first drink. The waitress was really nice, replaced it. My second drink which shouldve been the same as the first looked and tasted completely different. Again, the waitress was really nice replaced my second drink as well. Guess the are having a bad night. Still tipped my waitress but itll be a bit before I go back.

Theres a bartender (female with very long hair) who is extremely rude! Sweetheart, you work for tips!!! Im sure a smile and a better attitude wont hurt at all! Just the way she talks to people is completely wrong. I do not drink, so I was able to observe EVERYTHING and Ive been a bartender for YEARS & I would not want to work behind a bar with her...EVER. I think Id go home broke every night...
