The first time I went there, first time ever going to any Christians Tailgate location, they told me and the 2 other people I was with that when we called in our order 30 mins ahead of time that we could not do that and sit down to eat there, even though we purchased a beer, because of a seating issue. I explained to the waitress that A) it was not that busy at said time we went and B) the only reason I called 30 mins ahead of time was because where we work, we only have a 30 min lunch break but we nevertheless said ok and we would not do it again and she suggested we call 15 mins ahead of time. Today, I call 15 mins ahead to try to put in an order for dine in. No answer at all. The line was busy the whole time. Me and 4 other people go anyways because its a convenient lunch spot with alcohol, and when I get there, I told one of the wait staff that we tried calling and told them about the previous visit and all they had to say was "Oh weve been getting a lot of to-go orders today". I dont think I will ever go back to this location again which sucks because the food is actually good and we dont have many options for lunch in the area. Dont expect very fast service either.

I never go and write reviews but I am so annoyed with this place. A few Saturdays ago I went and ordered a few sliders and a beer. I sat there for about 45 minutes and never received my food. I walked up and asked and they said it was because they ran out of pork. Even though they didnt bother to tell me I said agreed to getting beef.. 20 minutes passed and I still havent received it. I just went and asked for my money back. The manager was super nice and reversed the charge because I had already closed out.. it was around $17 or something.. Well i check my account a few days later and $36 had posted on my account from them.. I have called time after time trying to get it resolved and the manager is either busy or wont call me back. I did talk to the GM Paul.. said he was going to reach out to corporate and I have heard nothing. I am trying to dispute the charge with my bank but they wont answer with them either. $36 isnt going to make or break me.. its just the fact that I paid EXTRA money for something I never received. So ridiculous.

Stopped in to get a burger the other day and the bar was dirty which I had to asked to get wiped down after a couple of minutes. I think thats a bit inexcusable considering their were two bartenders and a manager working and the place only had two other customers i the whole bar. It really bothers me when I see management at the bar and they dont appear to be doing anything to help their staff at all. As for the food, it was ok, nothing exciting which I think is pretty normal for a sports bar. I think the if the establishment worked on the QOS a little bit this would be a decent downtown sports bar for Houston but for now Ill probably head over to Stantons if I want a good burger and down the Little Woodrows for watching sports games

I went there with a party of six on a Thursday night. I was the first to get a beer. It took 15 minutes for everyone else got theirs, except for a frozen margarita. Another 15 minutes past and were told they didnt have frozen margaritas at that time. I was the only one to receive my food and couldnt get another beer. I had to get a different waitress attention in order to get one. After what felt like an hour, everyone else started to get their food except my sister, the waitress never put her order in. Frustrated, my sister made it to go and lucky she did because it took them another 40 minutes to bring it out. I dont recommend going there at all. I can only imagine what it would be like during lunch or on Friday or Saturday.

I took a group of colleagues here for steak night last night, and I am embarrassed for recommending this place. Our group placed two separate orders about an hour apart. There were three steaks in the first order - two came out very rare when the request was for medium. There were two steaks and a burger in the second order, of these three items one of the steaks was raw in the middle. Seriously, cold raw meat inside a lightly cooked exterior. The second steak was (surprisingly) a perfect medium, but the burger was rare as well. Service was fine, our beers were delivered promptly but food was terrible.

Quite possibly the best sports bar in downtown Houston. The location is unbeatable, its ambiance unrequited, the food and service are impeccable. Not only do they keep it interesting with daily specials, the projector outside provides great viewing parties for your favorite sports event. My experience here was only hampered by the parking but other than that it is a place ripe for various different events, celebrations, or just a place to relax. There is just no place in the vicinity that exchanges that level of service, quality of food, and entertainment, in a historic setting for a bargain.

I typically love Christians as the burgers are fantastic and the service is great. But tonight, 8/26 we were asked to leave as we had been there since 1pm and the fight was an hour or so from staring despite the fact we had been there buying food and drinks and the place was far from full, but we did not want to spend the money on the fight or did we care about it. Management seemed to concern themselves more with the $20 they may have got opposed to the additional alcohol/food purchases our group would have made.

Didnt have a medical kit and disregarded my note that I was allergic to something. They ended up putting it on (somewhat hidden -- I checked, but got an allergic reaction after) anyway. Waitress didnt care. Manager didnt apologize. No toilet paper in the bathrooms and the place isnt very busy. Doesnt seem like they anticipate things at all... Preventative and preparatory measures are completely lacking. Missing a medical kit is a health code violation, last I checked.

I ordered a "bacon bacon burger" well done, which is 1/2 pound beef with bacon mixed in it. When it came I checked as I always do and the burger was pink. I sent it back to the kitchen, the waitress came back and told me that the kitchen explained to her that since it has bacon mixed in the burger it is not possible to cook it to well done. .... This is BS - there is no reason why the burger can not be cooked to well done, you can burn anything!

This place has horrible service! A couple of friends and I went in Friday night, my tab was only supposed to be a total of 11 bucks. Well the blonde "MANAGER" screwed up and charged me the wrong tab which was a total of 48 bucks. She then supposedly voided the transaction and then charged an extra 38 bucks to my account. Ridiculous! If the manager screwed up this badly, just imagine how bad the rest of the service was! I will NOT be returning.
