I will say up front that Elaines cakes are delicious and on time. Outside of that her service was terrible. I booked her for my wedding about 5 months in advance. She was very nice up until she had my money in full. A couple of weeks after I gave her my deposit I sent her a detailed email with several pictures attached of exactly what I wanted my wedding cake to look like. I had a picture for color, a picture for shape, and a picture for design. I had a couple more follow up emails and phone calls making sure she received the email, understood what I wanted, and that we were good to go. 2 weeks before my wedding, after she had the payment in full, she called me wanting to meet one last time to make sure we were on the same page. When I showed up at her office, 12 days before my wedding, it was obvious she had not read my emails or even bothered to understand what I wanted. Not only that, she flat out refused to do my design. She told me she didnt like it, and she had a reputation to uphold, and since she was the professional and I didnt know what I was asking for, she wouldnt do it. All I wanted was a 3 tiered square cake in taupe instead of white, and I didnt want any kind of design- just texture the icing a little bit like stucco instead of it being completely smooth. Simple and elegant. Being 12 days before my wedding I was forced to pick an ugly cookie cutter design out of her pictures that look like they are from 1985- she had my money and I was out of time. Then at the wedding she wouldnt let my florist arrange the flowers on the cake, like I asked, so after she left we had to redo the flowers because she did a terrible job. The cake was delicious. The cheesecake was even better. But she stressed me out so bad I almost fell apart in the last week before my wedding. Do not use her.

Im a wedding planner and engaged to be married myself this year. I went to the Bridal Extravaganza and my fiance and I tasted the cake, the cake was to die for and my fiance wanted it for his grooms cake. I ALMOST suggested it to some of my brides until I visited the bakery. My niece loved it to so as a surprise gift, I took her to the bavarian bakery after school one day so she can order the cake she liked for a birthday. Normally a bakery needs 2-3 days notice to make a cake. We wanted a 10in round cake for approx 10-12 people. When Elaine walked in her attitude was as though we were bothering her. She said she was too busy with all the shows she was going to and it was not enough time to make a cake. WOW, Ive never had a baker respond to me in that way befor. Then she said it would be too hard to make pink icing w/ red trim (my nieces fav colors), she could only do white icing. Then she prceeded to rush us into a decision. I got so mad I told my fiance and niece, lets go, told Elaine I was sorry to have bothered her time. Needless to say, Bavarian Cakery will never get mine or any of my brides business. Is the cake good to taste? Absolutely. And the ones that I saw on the shelf looked really nice. But Customer service is the worst Ive ever experience....Good Luck.

Tara is AMAZING! Not only did she do my wedding cake but I have used her for mulitple events since that time. I highly recommend using Bavarian Cakery . The prices are competitive for "normal" flavors but the one that I love is the Cheesecake which is the more expensive of the flavors. BUT - TOTALLY Worth it. You will never taste anything like it - They offer complimentary tastings for weddings so definitely try them out!!

I read the reviews before picking her and was nervous about the customer service.I can see where some may have thought she was a little hard to work with. She may have a harsh tone but she has good intentions. Cake was AMAZING. Id recommend everyone I know to them. She is well priced, works with you on the size of the cake to match the people you need, etc. Good experience.

Recently the Bavarian Cakery created a cake for my birthday. I just wanted to thank Elaine and say that the cake at our house was a huge hit! I must have laughed for several minutes as the cake was humorous and very cool to look at! The taste of the moist chocolate cake was wonderful as well! My family loves the work Elaine of Bavarian Cakery has done for us!

Bavarian Cakery definitely gets 5 from me! I didnt get my wedding cake here because the venue provided one through another bakery. But, each year I get my birthday cake here ($45.00 for the smallest one). Pricey, but totally worth it. My family looks forward to each of my birthdays because Im always carting a Bavarian cheesecake home. Wonderful place!
