My Refill Came From the Table Next to us!!! I am a DFW foodie and by far, I have NEVER had worse treatment than Napolis Italian Cafe in Grapevine, TX. So much so, that I will take my time to let it be known. My mother, my sister and I went to Grapevine Main St. for a nice night together, starting with dinner. Chose Napolis Italian Cafe..... Seated, got drinks. Waitress Charlotte ignored us for next 20 minutes. she tended other tables, ignored ours, my sister called out excuse me and she ignored us. My sister asked someone else for help. He took our order - he looked very disinterested, looking everywhere ther than right in front of him as he was taking our order. He leaves, said will be back with refills. waitress comes back, my sister asked why did you not want to help us? She said shes been really busy with other tables (she was at register entire time. I have seen this place busy, on a Monday night it was not, half place was empty with about 10 waitstaff). And by the way, was our table not that important but all others were, you were too busy to say i will be right with you ? She had a horrible attitued. other guy comes back. i asked for the refill, he forgot - HE TURNED AROUND AND GOT A LEFT OVER DR. PEPPER FROM ANOTHER TABLE AND POURED IT IN MY SISTERS GLASS! who does that!!! He said they just left he didnt see them drink out of it!!!! THEN the waitress comes back with her attitued, i asked for another Dr. Pepper, she said why, i told her what just happened, with her attitud said no it didnt let me go ask him! what in the world!!! No apologies, horrible attitude, wasted 45 minutes and what a horrible way to start our night. So we got up and left. PLEASE HIRE SOMEONE WHO CARES AND DOES NOT RUIN YOUR BUSINESS! There are too many good places in Grapevine than to go spend hard earned money for this type of treatment, for no reason other than your wait staff are teens who do no care and have horrible attitudes. IF you dont want to be there, please dont. NO reason to treat customers this bad.

Not a place for people with special dietary needs. I am allergic to whey (protein in dairy, allergy, not intolerance) and all nuts. I asked what pasta they could make without dairy. I was told they could make me a gluten free pasta. I explained (again) what my allergies are and that gluten is not one of them. I was told it is impossible for them to make pasta without butter, I could get a salad (all of there salads included cheese as a main component...rather boring salads if you take out the cheese). So I asked if the bruschetta appetizer had dairy and was told no. (On the menu the bruschetta was described as crostini with tomatoes, onion, garlic, and evoo). When it arrived it had Parmesan cheese grated on top. I sent it back. It came back, the crostini had cheese melted on top (underneath the tomatos). I sent it back. It came back again with bits of the cheese still on the bread. I sent it back and said I wasnt going to be eating anything and drank my water while my husband, friends and their children ate their meals. I was starving. When the bill came we werent charged for the bruschetta but a 20% gratiuity was charged automatically. We were a party of 6 and their policy does say they charge an automatic gratuity for parties of 6 or more. But only 5 people ate...I was offended by the gratuity and the fact that they didnt seem to care about my allergies. If you have allergies I dont recommend you eat here, they are unwilling to help you find things you can eat and the staff is very clearly not trained in allergies and how to handle them.

Save your money. BAD SERVICE, This is the first restaurant review I have ever written, but it is warranted. We went on Saturday night, which was surprisingly not crowded. We were quickly seated near the kitchen window and our drink orders were taken. Tea for me, water for SO. Server brought two waters. While we waited for the tea, and being near the kitchen window, this is where all the wait staff hang out, we got to listen to the staff complain about their lack of tips. Wife ordered an entree which came with a salad, entree came but not the salad. Mentioned the salad and they brought it. So eat the salad meal gets cold, eat the meal then why even have gotten the salad. Food lacked flavor, was really bland. While we ate we got to hear the wait staff talk about their favorite churchs in the area, and belittle those congregations that they did not like. Waited for server to refill drinks and bring a dessert menu, waited again to order dessert while wait the staff talked more. Italian cream cake was like the meal, a basic yellow cake which was supposed to have a cream cheese icing, I think they held out most of the cream cheese. The cake was $6.25 a slice, two boxes of Betty Crocker would have cost less and been just as good. We spent a little over $15pp and we wont do that at Napolis Grapevine again, and you should not either.

Just had the most disappointing experience at Napolis in Grapevine. We ordered three cheese pizzas (one without sauce for Sophia) for the kids along with four adult entrees, two appetizers, a salad, and a bottle of wine (our bill was not small), and when they delivered our food our waiter explained that theyd accidentally given the special pizza to another table but were making another one. After everyone else at the table was finished eating we still hadnt received the pizza, so we called another waiter over and he went to check on it. When the bill arrived, we expected that one pizza would be comped, but it wasnt. We asked the waiter and he sent a manager over. When I explained the situation his response was, "but she ate it." I again explained that a childs meal wasnt served until everyone else at the table was finished eating and asked if theyd "be nice" and comp it, and he said, "well, mistakes happen and she ate it," and walked away with our credit card. When our waiter returned with the card and check, we found that theyd comped us two kids drinks ($4.25) and charged us for the $10 pizza. I am shocked at the poor customer service (not once did anyone apologize) and will not be going back.

I ordered the lasagna, overpriced at $14, but I had a coupon for 25% off the whole check. For over 60 years Ive been having lasagnas literally all over the world and all over the U.S., and this one was not as good as the least of those. The flavor was off, and it was almost cold on top and sizzling hot on the bottom. It was not good. I almost walked out in the middle, but found a parmesan shaker and loaded it up with that to make it edible. Even the salad was cheap, with nothing to it - a little lettuce, lots of croutons, acceptable house dressing. Like the lasagna, every salad Ive ever had was better than this. Ive been to really cheap places recently that had better food. The decor was very plain, but clean. Napolis did two things right - the sweet tea was good, and the service was excellent. But thats not enough to commend this place even to someone I dont like.
