Im a bride-to-be, and decided to keep my wedding money in the local community. I went to Swirl Bakery to order pies (instead of wedding cake), but the man taking my order could not have acted less thrilled to get my business. When I told him of my intent to spell out a phrase on the wedding pies, he just shook his head and said, "We cant put letters on pies here. Not everything you see on TV can happen at a Mom-and-Pop shop. Im not comfortable giving you something that isnt up to my standards." When I tried to assure him that its not the look Im concerned with but the novelty and that Im way more concerned about becoming my fiances wife than what the pies look like, he rolled his eyes and said, "Yeah, you say that now." Heres what WRONG with this transaction: 1.) If youre a Mom-and-Pop shop and Im willing to pay more money per pie than at a grocery store bakery, dont you think you could treat me with a little more respect? 2.) Your assuming I watch all those terrible, trashy wedding shows on TV. Sir, I have a life. 3.) To add insult to injury, YOURE going to tell ME whats going to be important to me on my wedding day? You dont know me, and you obviously dont know how to treat a customer with respect. So much for keeping in local - the ladies at Krogers bakery were THRILLED to get my business, and I spent half of what I would have spent at Swirl.

Weve had dinner at the restaurant, and had it as to go food. The expectation should be that you wont get a dedicated waiter or waitress if you dine in. Usually the woman who takes your order will also be the one who brings you fresh rolls or refills. The baked items are well done. Everything from cookies, to cupcakes, to pies. Very tasty and not overly pricey unless youre comparing it to the bakery at Tom Thumb. Sunday afternoons are a prime time to eat in due to the lunch specials they offer. If youre looking for a nice take and bake meal, you can buy those here. The choices will vary from time to time. If youre wanting to grab a meal and a dessert to enjoy at home without the hassle of working on it for an inordinate amount of time, Swirl is recommended. Another review by: Foodie Jones

I had seen several ads for the Mothers Day brunch so my daughter and I decided to give it a try at the last minute. The ads I had seen indicated that reservations were "recommended" but they did not say they were mandatory to attend the brunch. When we went up to pay for the buffet we were asked if we had reservations and we said "no" assuming we would have to wait. Before I hardly finished replying though the woman interrupted me and said we needed reservations...so sorry. I am irritated that we were misled but mostly irked by her attitude. Sadly, we will not be visiting this establishment again.

I received a new pumpkin pie from this bakery with MOLD on top of it. Unfortunate for me, I didnt notice until the second piece was served, as the first was covered in whipped cream. There was white mold all over the top (small circles, and clear "webbing" all over) I am sooo disgusted, This pie had never been opened!!! How on earth did they sell a molded pie?? They obviously are not concerned with the age or quality of their goods, otherwise this could not have been purchased!!! I should call the health department!!!

I have been to this place for a few times and the check out girl really makes feel unhappy each time.Today I went in there trying to buy some snack for my boy. I asked what is the least sweet food since my boy is allergic to most of sweet stuff. I wanted to buy one to taste it before I give it to my kid. She scoffed at me and made me feel like I am doing a really stupid thing. I dont know what is wrong with her. Definitely it is not a professional way to do business. I swear I will never go to this place again.

The baked items are very good. I often pick up a cake for a special occasion - their strawberry cake is my favorite. Eating in is variable. Some times it is great and easy to get in/out. Some times it is OK, but not worth the hassle. I dont know why it feels difficult to eat there, but I think the way you have to stand in line for a long time is awkward. If there are people ahead of you, you could be standing right next to an eating customer. There doesnt seem to be any rush to customer service here.

Fresh tasty homestyle food in a lovely cafe setting. Ive had the club sandwich, Meatloaf and Chicken dinners and all were very tasty and nicely prepared. The meatloaf is really great - I dont even like meatloaf - but after my hubby said "this is the best meatloaf ever" I tasted it and became a Swirl meatloaf convert. We had some little cake muffins with our meal and they were very good - so Id say the sweets would be nice here but weve not tried any yet.

The company where I work in Lewisville, Texas, orders birthday cakes every month from Swirl Bakery. Chris brings random flavors each month. Today he brought Coca Cola Cake and White Chocolate Cake. Todays cakes were the best cakes that he has brought in all the months he has been delivering to us. A good dose of chocolate without being too much and very moist. My favorite has finally been decided upon. Coca Cola Cake gets my vote!

This is the perfect little spot to pop in and grab a good club sandwich(Original Triple Decker) and a cookie. I have never sat in to eat so I dont know much about the wait service but the ladies at the register are always friendly. I usually get in and get out, I order ahead most days. The fresh cake-by-the-slice is some of the best I have ever had. It is very moist and given in good portions. The Italian Creme is tha bomb!

I like the quiche lorraine here, it is delicious with some tomato slices. The restaurant is nicely decorated but there are always lots of loud old women. The staff seems to always be young pretty girls but they seem easily confused and overwhelmed. This could be an understaffing issue sometimes, Im not sure. They usually make up for it by being nice, and the manager is always around talking to customers.

Swril bakery has great treats, but horrible customer service they treat customers poorly starting from owners to managment. Time after time we have been treated with distain and rudeness. We are frequent customers due to the fact we work for a Drs office down the street and we have reps cater from swril. I think that this bakery would be a whole lot better if there customer service was better.

This is the best place to take my real estate clients for lunch on a long day of house hunting. Melissa and Chris are the best and the food is amazing. It is a cute place with great food and when its time to celebrate an executed contract we stop by for a sweet treat!

While at Keller Williams in a class a friend let me know that Swirl delivers! Awesomeness! Lunch and Learning made easy. Easy to place the order, Door Dash Delivery texted to let me know they were at Swirl to get lunch and delivered it. Great service all the way!
