I used to love this place and went so often that I have a plate on the wall. Over the last few years it has continued to lose its edge. To be fair, many other places have opened up that also feature craft beer...but I think the Saucer could have still been in the forefront if they had tried. Sadly, due to poor management in my opinion, the service level has dropped and with that the number of people such as myself that used to patron the establishment on a regular basis previously. My most recent experience proved that it now can take 15-30 minutes to get a beer once you arrive. I was expecting it to be packed because it was opening day for the Rangers and there was a basketball tournament going on as well...but it was only 25% full. I was not asked if I wanted food (which I did) and it took about 45 minutes to get my second beer. When it arrived I tasted it and immediately knew it was not what I had ordered. The waitress argued that it was correct (never a fun experience from the customer side) and after about an hour finally returned to let me know that indeed it was NOT the style I thought I had ordered because there was a misprint on the menu. Kudos to her for supporting her establishment but I wish she would have been correct in her support. I do not think I will be returning to the beer haven I once frequented. A sad day for lovers of beer, indeed.

This place has an incredible beer selection...of course, but they also have very good food. They make an awesome hamburger and actually give you the choice of how you want the patty cooked (well-done, or medium, etc). A quality burger patty is so much better when cooked medium! Their hot wings are very good too, get em Mojo for a nice kick. The pretzel is a great beer sponge, huge and soft, with dipping choices of honey mustard, spicy mustard, or queso...all are great. The queso is as good if not better than most mexican restaurants. The beer soup in a bread bowl is very tasty. All their sandwichs are great, awesome Reuben. Ive had most of the menu items and all are great, but my hands down favorite...the bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cheese and chorizo...Wow!! So good!! The wait staff is friendly and Amber and Daniel keeps everyone in line! The patio offers an awesome view of Lake Ray Hubbard. If you are a beer enthusiast, or just want some good food, this is your place.

I love going here on the weekends! We know some waitresses as friends and we get together and have a good time. The place is weird in a way to feel old, calm, and relaxed! The dartboards on the wall are no decor, you can bring your own darts to play the boards and just have fun. Food is also served here. We ordered pizza(hence the name on the menu as pies), and it was good. If you want to save on money just order pizza and share it! The waitresses are nice and friendly and some of them are friends that we get along with. The view from the porch on the bar is awesome! I personaly this is my favorite restaurant/bar on my list! Recommend anyone that like playing darts, pizza and beer or whiskey!

First timer, just decided to try something different in the area for the hubby on fathers day took a group of fam & friends to celebrate. the idea place was nice even had a nice outside deck view to view the lake the food was ok for the price just not a upscale menu but it was ok an the drinks was a 6 out of 10 rating but the bottom line the server was horrible not sure who to blame the waitress or the cook but with a group of 14 there was two in the group that was still awaiting food while others was almost done eating but thanks to the manager we was comped those items.

So many beers to choose from. I have been here twice and still havent tried a quarter of the beers that catch my eye. The food options arent broad, but they all taste good. Honestly though, the food is more of a plus to go along with beer. My favorite time to come here is early evening in late summer. The temperature is not too hot when the sun is up and isnt chilly after it goes down, so grab a table on the patio and you can watch the sunset over the lake while enjoying good beer.

I cant even explain how horrible this was. We came for a Mothers Day Dinner and you know got shafted?? MOM. It was horrible to be a part of, and I am sad we spend upwards of 50$ of dollars PER COUPLE. We could not include her food because they never brought it or even ordered it.. The woman of the hour never got her food, and her husband was not happy either as we got ours. Im sorry my Mom-in-law!! We still love you. Never back here. WHO DOESNT LOVE A MOM ON MOMS DAY?!

The food is fine. Certainly not good enough to justify service thats slower than molasses in an Arctic winter. Never come here unless you have approximately four days to wait before a server comes to your table. Getting your food will take an additional fortnight, and its a crap shoot to see whether you get what you ordered. Allegedly, the beer is good here. I dont like beer so I cant comment. I just hope if youre planning to drink more than one you drink slowly.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We waited 20min before a server even came over. Than when we did see someone we had to get them. She told us i am not your waitress but I will take your drink order. Than after drinking our beer our actual waitress came over and asked if we needed anything. Never once aplgozing or even telling us her name. I will never go back and they where not that busy at all I would hate to see how they act when they are. Defiently going to primos next time

My wife and I have been going to the saucer for some time nice atmosphere. They usually run out of my favorite beer by Sunday. Food is good but wish for healthier meals. Went yesterday for Cinco de Mayo to try the fair the advertised Street tacos $5 Mexican Beers $3 got their at 6pm they were out of all the specials, cant help but believe they did that just to get business in the door maybe a little bait and switch. Disappointed in the Saucer.

This was our 1st visit to The Flying Saucer. It was a great experience and had a great view of the lake. Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and our hostess (Klein) was totally AWESOME. Thought I knew my beer, but I was totally lost. With the help of our hostess, she was able to provide me we a couple of samples to guide me with choosing the right beer. The burgers and tots were great. Will definitely be back again, Dont forget to tip your hostess!

Awesome setting to catch up with friends. Great selection of tab beers, and food. Get the "original rocket tots" there are not in the menu but they can make them if you ask nice. If you are starving, get "San Miguel torta" for beers ask your server to guide you, they will be glad to help. One thing to improve is the smoking area, which is all the patio and, if you want to sit outside but dont smoke there is just not an option.
