My husband and I went there for dinner tonight with our daughter. I was rather disappointed. I can only imagine how crazy his place is on the weekend. We went on Wednesday and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. I did like that they had a number of benches outside to sit on while waiting. The restaurant was very clean and nice overall. Our server was fantastic. He brought our daughter a kids cup of water as soon as we sat down and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. it took an hour and 10 minutes to get our food. We did order our daughters food first so it came out a long time before ours. she had the chicken and risotto and it was very good. we had calamari and it was very good as well. Our daughter goes to bed at 8 and gets really cranky so we asked if our food could be made to go instead. When we got home the bun on the burger I got was charred on one side. it also had pickles on it. I asked for no pickles because the menu said they were spicy. However, they werent that spicy and were actually very good.

Summary: Bankhead Brewing Co is homey local pub with a passion for brewing craft beer meets upscale grill with great eats. Favorites: Pretzel - enormous, warm and doughy and comes with a side of delicious beer cheese and wasabi-level spicy mustard. I order it every time I come in. Fish and chips - are just what it says on the tin, tasty, battered fish and salty fries served with tartar sauce. Only missing the traditional newspaper its served on in the UK. (Psst: order with the beer cheese from the pretzel. Youre welcome.) Doohickey Stout - one of the craft masterpieces of the brewery, this stout tastes like a delectable cross between Guiness and alcoholic chocolate milk. Yes, seriously. Its has an incredible creamy mouthfeel, hits hard and bitter like a stout should (though sweeter than many stouts, which I like), then goes down smooth with no aftertaste. Order this when your tastebuds need a break from the hops in other beers.

Went there on 6/17/17, food- pepperoni pizza (shared with hubby), RAW dough, salads- fair but had to use the salad plates for the pizza, never received clean plates even though we ask for them and the waiter said he would bring them. beer- smallest beer I ever saw and the hottest, water- no ice. Atmosphere- sat outside, sat under misters and fans with 12 people in our group at a table for 8 to 10 max was NOT fun and the flies were also bad. Heat index was appox 103. One couple had to ask for silver ware 3 times and finally got after the meal was almost over. Some of the group received their food as the rest were finishing theirs. WAY OVER PRICED and NOT A RELAXING PLACE.. will NOT go back. I know large groups are hard to wait on but even with this taken into consideration it was a very very bad experience.

TERRIBLE! Terrible service. The server was slow, rude, and deceitful. He first incorrectly charged me for things that I didnt order. Then he fraudulently changed the merchant receipt to give himself a bigger tip (by the way, this is illegal and will be reported). I didnt find out until I saw my bank statement a couple days later. When I called up to the restaurant to find out about this, they said that he had done this to a few other receipts as well. The manager offered to refund some of the amount, but did not offer anything to make up for this. I would NOT recommend this place.

Been to the Bankhead twice...a few thoughts: (+) Great location (I live in Rowlett, however, so of course it is!) (+) Good beer! (+) Lots of outdoor seating, which there isnt a lot of around these parts. (+) Service has been very good; one of the most important parts of a dining experience. (+) Best calamari Ive ever had. (+) BLTA Dip = DANG!!!! (-) Would love to have had some music playing; last time I was there the ambiance (for a brewery) was kind of dead - put on some tunes! So far, so good...I can see myself becoming a regular customer.

Dont come here on the weekend if youre in a hurry because they are always busy. But theres a reason for it. They serve their own recipes of beer along with traditional greasy food, like sandwiches and pizza. However, everything has a slight upscale twist, and prices to match. The food is delicious, and the servings are very generous, however, so if you have the money you wont be disappointed. I recommend the Brisket sandwich with Sweet potato fries, or the pretzel and beer cheese.

It was our first time checking out this brewpub, and everything was superb. We ordered two flights of beer, wood fire pizza, and bread pudding for dessert which were all excellent. Great vibe, great service, and great beer. The Belgian blonde, Belgian Strong, Hazelnut Porter, and Gose were my favorite styles, but overall-great brewery. Lisa was our server and she was so great- good conversation, fantastic service, and very pretty also. Overall, a def favorite- great weekend spot.

I had so much fun here!!! The food was outstanding! And the beer is super yummy, spot on. Jake was our server and he was so sweet and professional. He really made us have a good time too. I cant wait to bring all my friends from Rockwall! My favorite dish is the truffle ravioli, and truffle fries. I love truffle. The pizza is so good too! Honestly Ive been a few times and every dish Ive had is wonderful. Super cool vibe in the restaurant too. Yall will go far!

My friend just moved out to Rowlett and wanted me to go try this place. Its not my favorite, but its a solid brewpub. The beers are mostly unremarkable (the passion fruit wheat beer was interesting, at least), but the food is fantastic--the portions didnt make me happy, though. They also mixed up two of the beers on my flight (but ultimately corrected it). I wouldnt say this place is worth going out of your way for, but if youre in the area its worth a try.

Great addition to Rowlett dining! They are still working out a few kinks since they just opened, but the two home brews I tried were both good. Giggle Water was my favorite brew. Little Piggy pizza is a tasty transplant wood-fired brick oven pie from Rockwalls Zanata. The staff was swamped but they were managing to pull it together somehow. Im sure Ill be returning to this review to add a star after the next visit. Congrats on the great brew pub!!!

Showed up at 9:50 and was told that they were going to close early due to inclement weather. It wasnt raining out and all the weather had passed. We were given a menu and put on the spot to order right away bc the kitchen was going to be closing. We decided this was not the place for us and walked out. My advice is to go early well before closing or they will kick you out.

The service is super slow but friendly. Dont go if youre in a time crunch. The prices are on the higher end. The food is so-so - very fatty and almost everything contains pork of some kind so not a real healthy option. I went twice and experienced the same with food and service both times. Probably wont go again. We spent $100 on four entrees and a salad. No alcohol.
