This is definitely my favorite chill bar in uptown. Its almost hidden away in the side streets between cedar springs and mckinney, and looking like an old home in between trees it is much more subtle than BBC in its exterior. As far as the interior, there is so much character and detail, yet it is still chill and mellow. The The seating style adds to this, having a bar and tables and booths downstairs, a long style tables outside, and even some couches upstairs. Small thing to note, this is pub that does not serve liquor, only beer and wine. That being said, their selection of beer and wine is amazing and ever changing, with a decent sized list of new arrivals always being updated on the board above the bar. They of course have a huge selection of draft beers, but also have more bottles to add to the variety of beer they offer. I love the vibe at this place, and a large part of that is the friendly and warm staff. Im not going to name specifics, but they have always been great to me and the friends Ive had with me, whether we had a huge party (bar crawl!) or just a few friends. I also met the general manager behind the bar the other day, and hes just as friendly and as all the waiters there Overall, a great place and a definitely unique vibe among other bars in uptown.

I organized a mini reunion for former classmate at The Gingerman. Sadly on the day of the event I was ill and could not attend. But from ALL reports, it was a wonderful experience. I had pre-ordered party trays, excellent choice according to the attendees. The guests were stationed in the upstairs area with the outside patio available also. Service was adequate, although the waitress seemed to need help. Just to many people for one girl. I would not hesitate to schedule an event here again. Robin (the GM) was most helpful in helping me whit the planning.

This place is fantastic! If you live beer you are going to want to come here and enjoy a huge variety! We are talking about over 75 beers on tap and 200 in bottles. Thats awesome! The bar tenders know there beers and can compare and give you good substitutions if you want to get something close. The atmosphere here is great and you will find many locals enjoying the great brews. Everybody seems really cool and the place has a great inviting feel so you will be comfortable here.

Very Bad experience! We walk and are told they need to clean tables when alot of tables were clean. We sat down ordered our drinks and bottomless chips the drinks came but the chips didnt the waiter disappeared no idea where he went. I then told the manager we ordered chips and we still havent gotten them or even ordered our food. She then went to the back and came back empty handed and no explanation. Just kept doing her own thing so we just got up and left. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!

The beer selection here is quite solid: 40 or so taps, plus various bottles. The food is just pub grub. There are two patios: the back patio is large and well laid it, but prone to off odors. The front patio is smaller and more compact, but free of the shell issue. The interior is welcoming: dark and cozy; but not large enough for their busy times. The service is spotty: the size of the place doesnt allow for a lot of staff; but they attract large crowds.

If youre looking to grab drinks with some friends, but are looking for a place thats not too loud, has a solid selection of beer and a good vibe, The Ginger Man is your spot. There is plenty of space and its typically not too difficult to find a table, even if you have a large party. With that said, I dont recommend visiting their location at the Shops at Legacy. The floor layout is terrible and there is not enough space to move about and mingle with ease.

YES! A favorite of mine. Great local feel without being exclusive. Live music sometimes, and then of course the crazy beer selection. Go in with an idea of what you like, or dont! The bartenders are some of the best Ive had; they walk the line between knowing enough to be helpful to even the snobbiest of hopheads, and being inclusive enough to make recommendations for us low-mid level enthusiasts. Go and go at happy hour!

Its a small chain which reflects on some of the "features" but the Dallas Gingerman is truly a place to hang out (go upstairs, find a sofa, grab a book) and spend some time. Sure, the beer selection isnt as wide as the nearby Common Tables and the food is just a bunch of overpriced snacks, but no one comes here to fight hunger. Its the med students and drinks (and sometimes the pub quiz).

Alot of speciality beers, super nice waitress, We were visiting, and cable car guy said stop here for a cold one. Well we did and this place was awesome first we got there when they just opened, but they still served my parry of 8, and played free music, and we had a few cold ones, played darts and stayed for quite awhile. Service was superb, beers were awesome.. Will go again.

Amazing selection of quality craft beers locally and from around the world! The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helpful while choosing a beer. They also let you sample from the tapped beers before you commit to a full glass! Great atmosphere and location! This will always be my go-to for craft beers in Dallas!!

Waiter spilled a tray of beer on my wife and I. All we got was a rag and an Im sorry. Pretty terrible service. I wouldnt feel the need to rate them poorly had they compd our tab. Instead they just asked us what we were drinking and brought us more drinks. They couldnt even remember what they dumped on us.

Not sure about the complaints on food. I had the veal medallions in a nice burgundy and shitake sauce, I thought the potatoes au gratin had too much cheese but it was ok and the grilled corn was a nice touch. Beer selection was good. Service is hit or miss. Dart boards work. Great juke box.

Simply the best place to go for beer in Dallas. I love the Ginger Man. I love sitting outside with my husband and my dog on either the front or back patio. This place is not like the strip mall Ginger Man Pubs of the suburbs, this is and old house in the middle of uptown. I love it.

Great beer selection. The bar food was pretty good quality stuff for pub fare, the brat was really tasty, and went great with all of the Real Ale I was drinking. Cozy pub, bartenders were great, other patrons were friendly as well. Really fun place to hang out.

Good chill laid back atmosphere. Clean and inviting. The staff really take time to get to know their regulars and make them feel welcome. I think that comes from the GM, managers and the long time bartenders that have been here for years. Thanks Gingerman!
