Double Double: 4 out of 5 burps! Well I must say! It seems as though my first experience for IN-N-OUT (which was in Phoenix for a business trip) was NOTHING like it was here in Texas! When I heard that they were coming to Texas I was all like, "So?". Then the news reports of people waiting days before opening and then later 3+ hours just to get one I was like, "You people are Fn crazy! Those burgers taste no better than McDonald or maybe Wendys at BEST!" So now that its been over a month since they opened I figured that I would give them a try again, just to see if the same holds true with regards to quality and taste. My wife had gone the day before and said that the lines are still long, but they have a directed drive thru system that seems to work. That was my queue to attempt the daring "Lunchtime Grab and Go"! I figured I could be "in and out" (pardon the pun) and back to work all within 1 hour...and indeed I did! So here you have it. I got 1 Cheese Burger and 1 Double Double. I have no idea what style, nor do I care. Give me the damn burger with everything on it, minus tomato...filthy foul fruit! Onions...YES I WANT ONIONS! What the hell kind of question is that? What, you people in Cali dont believe in onions? So heres what I got, right there in that picture. So I make it back to the office and grab the ol cheese burger, take a bite and BAM! WOW, this actually taste pretty good? Finish that up and go hit the Double. Just like Jules in Pulp Fiction...mmmm that issss a tasty burger. I sit looking at my now empty wrapper wondering what happened? I ponder for a while, why so good? Then I remembered. PHOENIX! Ah yes, Phoenix. Nothing of any worth has come from Phoenix. Land of the online collage, call centers and dry heat. I guess the same should hold true to the food? So my opinion of IN-N-OUT, Texas = GOOD! Phoenix = Just like everything else in that state, HORRIBLE! I say go get one. Hell get two, tell the Aaron sent you! They wont know what youre talking about, but its sure to get you some funny looks. Maybe theres an Aaron of some high status within IN-N-OUT and you will get something? If so, please let me know so I can use my name to also get free stuff!

Q. You are in line from the door... 10 minutes plus waiting, customer cuts the line, walk up & order in front of you! What do you think will happen? And yes, happen to be ordering for a group of girls from dancing class! A. Employees at the register wont care who is in line and will take order! Yes the girl at the register clearly said NEXT IN LINE not ANYONE from BACK OF THE LINE! You make an eye contact with the employee at the register and her expression is "In Your Face Customer Next In Line!" So you ask at the register employee on your turn at the next register "Theres no point having a line here is it?" And she answers you back "NO!" ..................................................(there isnt?!) She wont give you cups for set menus unless you remind her later! IN N OUT Check you camera and see what happened with your guest no 24 and 25 on 4:32PM on 2016-11-06 and tell me is this your company policy to be uncivilized as your customer can be? Customers may be uncivilized. However, there is no excuse for customer service to be uncivilized! My family runs 8 restaurants and such actions from employees can only be in your nightmare! I have waited in In N Out line in Vegas(4888 Dean Martin Dr) for over 3 hours with employees messing up the ticket numbers but joked and waited with customers from New York that we will tell others back home we spend most of Vegas time in In N Out! When employees decide to show manners to customers, theres two reason. 1. Employer treats employees with manners that they take it to the customer. 2. Employer will not train the employees. Let me remind you IN N OUT. There are other great burger places here in Texas. When you have such limited menu, you should at least have a decent service for Texans. So, for anyone who do not want an event? Highly suggest using the drive through!

My husband and I came in Nov. 12 in the evening he order a double-double and I order the cheeseburger combo. We waited awhile and it wasnt that busy. By the time our food came out the fries were barely warm, but we were starving so we began to eat anyway. My cheeseburger wasnt well done like I asked and it was barely done parts of the burger had pink in it. I tore out the pink and continued to eat my burger. When my husband was almost done with his burger he looked at his and one patty was barely done and the other was raw..solid pink. I took the remaining burger up to the counter and no one would help me until I said excuse me..there was more than 10 employees in the back. I told them burger was raw and they asked do you want us to make you a new one. ??? Would you want another after you ate a raw burger? Not really right? Well I told my husband to give them a second chance and for them to make a single burger instead just meat and cheese only.. Well 15minutes later they bring it out with everything on it.. did they not hear meat and cheese only.. I told the counter clerk and she said we would have to wait for them to make another burger. Never mind I told her..we dont have another 15 minutes to wait on a burger we really dont want now. We left. My husband ended up with food poisoning last night from his raw burger.. now what do they have to say for themselves.

I had never been to an In-N-Out Burger so in a trip to Texas I thought Id give it a shot! Parking and walking in, the establishment was busy but clean and staff were friendly. I liked the 1940s diner-esque decor and uniforms. The menu is very simple - burgers, fries, sodas, and shakes, no frills. I had a double cheese burger with all the fixings (onion, lettuce, tomato, some sort of sauce) with fries and a vanilla shake. My order was up in 5-7 minutes, not horrible for dine-in. I sat down to have my burger and from the first bite I was disappointed. Im sure the friendly staff were doing their job, but the burger tasted EXTREMELY salty, likely the recipe, not employee error. So I tried the fries, I was expecting something similar to McDonalds, but was again let down. The fries felt spongy in my mouth and had very little taste, with even less salt than the burger. I retreated to what I thought was an easy bet, the vanilla shake. Again, I was disappointed. The shake was warm and had very little vanilla flavor. I ate the meal because I saw starving, but wasnt happy about it. Im really sad I didnt like the food, because everything else - the atmosphere, service, and experience was great! But when it comes down to it, you go to a restaurant for the food and the food was not to my liking.

I know I will get heat from this, but honestly I do not see the amazingness of in-n-out. The food was ok. The chocolate shake was the best part. While I have an appreciation for the natural ingredients (the reason I was excited to go there) the food just lacks flavor. I waited over an hour in anticipation to be greatly disappointed. The fries the first time were borderline soggy and even being health conscious could use salt. I tried my fries and burger animal style and somehow the onions (and I always love some carmelized onions) just didnt have much flavor. The second time I went to see if I just went at a bad time, this time waiting a fraction of the time and got my fries well done which made them less soggy, but still needing flavor. I will spend my calories elsewhere!
