Finding a 24 hour place that is not fast food anywhere near us is very rare, but we made the online search anyway even though we had little hope. And that is how we found City View Tacos. Still a bit of a drive for us, but totally worth it. Yes, they dont hand out napkins or even plasticware, but the food more than makes up for any of that. Just bring your own. The place is tiny so expect to eat outside or in your car. They have five meat choices - Beef Fajita, Chicken, Pastor, Barbacoa, and Picadillo - and we tried three of them. We avoided the Pastor even though pork is normally our favorite because the menu said it was spicy. We have upper midwest taste buds and prefer much less capsaicin then the average Texan. The Barbacoa (in a quesadilla) and Chicken (in a burrito) were perfectly mild for our tastes and very delicious, but the Picadillo (in a burrito) was very spicy for us. Still, the flavor was awesome, so we powered thru the burn anyway. That is saying a lot for us. I actually want to get another the taste was that memorable and good. Ill just get a little extra cheese and sour cream next time. I also want to try the Pastor now, spicy or not. We are definitely going back. The tastes were so fresh and good. Some of the best Mexican food Ive ever had. Im not an authority, but we go out of our way to sample every big or little Mexican restaurant we can find and have been doing so since we moved to Texas in the 90s. They deserve their new little reward (even if the boss being on the phone made us wait to taste the food). ;) Also, considering the quesadilla or burrito give you more food than the average diner burger meal, and it looked like the tacos do, too, the prices are perfectly cheap! We got way more food than two people needed and it only cost us $20 bucks.

City View is perhaps the BEST taco spot that I have been to. Their seasoning, salsa, and some of their tortillas are home made. This place is perfect if you want yourself a good authentic taco (picadilla and beef corn tacos are my FAVORITE here). The customer service, ehh.. I dont think that you come here for that, per say. Lol. The workers definitely go beyond in the food department but not so much in the customer service portion. The waiting/seating area is abnormally cold (possibly because the kitchen is really hot???) and very small. I usually wait outside in the seating areas or in my car. Not too much of a big deal. Besides those two minor details, I love this place. I am a loyal customer and will be as long as Im here in the DFW area.

The tacos are OK, not as good as Feul City. The corn taste rubbery like they cookedbit too long, and the customer service is horrible. Today,I stood at the counter waiting to order while the older lady talked on the phone about her personal business, after a while she attempted to take my order and then just stopped. I walked out. This is the second time in two weeks that I have had to walk out due to someone being rude and talking on the phone. I could see if you were taking an order, but this is rediculous. The workers desperately need customer service training.

No definitely I dont recommend it first they charge u for lemon second I asked for the burrito grilled after making it ... I mentioned 5 times so they dont forget and they still didnt make it ... it was so wet and nasty I went and nicely ask them to do it .. I though they probably forgot .. I mean we are not perfect ..but no they told me ...they couldnt make it that way common I cook Mexican food all the time my mom is Mex so

Stupid people with no common sense working there, we placed our order they forgot the cheese and didnt want to put any on the tacos with calling the manager, they looked so confused, so we just got our money back...never again unless they get better staff with common sense....all this could have been avoided by just giving me my cheese ...dummies.

A bit out of the way for those not in Duncan ville, but worth the trip everytime. Expect a bit of a line at any time of the day or night. Open 24 hours and thank the heavens that something besides fast food is available all the time. This place is consistently good, just give them a little patience and itll pay off in your mouth!

So disappointed.... Coming from San Antonio, we were really happy to find a good taco spot so close. Went in two separate times and saw live bugs crawling around. Employees tried to look away but we both saw it. Had a bug crawl on the counter while paying, changed my mind and left.

Most of the time its delicious but sometimes late at night/early morning the tortillas are hard and burnt, they dont give you the grilled onions, and they forgot my drink for my meal.... so be cautious for those things other than that.... great night cap

I went in the evening and experiened a gaggle of teenagers working the counter who dont care about getting the order out in a timely manner. They enjoyed joking with each other and goofing around instead. Weve all been young once but, I waited 20 mins

The food was good. But there is some bum hanging around harassing people for money. If you tell him no he just keeps asking like he doesnt know what the word no means. The staff doesnt seem to care much and still lets him hang out there.

I work here for night shifts only Best Tacos in Dallas. Please dont come to this place expecting it to be like Taco Bell, we sell street tacos not Tex-Mex tacos so yes the lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese, etc. will be extra.

Food is good, service is horrible, self righteous think their the best when there are plenty of great Mexican restaurants avaliable for the area. They dont give you napkins, works slow and doesnt have a welcoming environment!

Just love everything they have to offer , one oud my go to places when Im not in the mood to cook my husband Mexican food this is where we come to satisfy our craving for Mexican food and its 24 hours , even better. Love It ❤

Ive tired it twice and disappointed I ordered a burrito only had meat on the first two bites and then a lot of jalapeños & onions. Corn in cup would be better if corn was not frozen corn. feels like too many cut corners.

The fajita tacos are good, they are open 24/7...they dont sell bottled or canned drinks which is an inconvenience. The pastor tacos really upset my stomach.. Id say its an ok place if you stick with flower Fajita tacos.

Pretty bodacious setup, complete with an elote stand outside and plenty of outdoor seating. Meat quality wasnt anything to brag about, but for good service and a cool street taco spot, this place works for Duncanville.
