Paid over $110 for LEFTOVER FOOD, literally RUSHED TO END DINNER early with NO SERVICE provided... I would not give any star if I could. On Jan 27, 2016 (Friday) night, a family of 5 of us (4 adults & 1 kid) went for their BBQ buffet. It was about 8:15 when we arrived, but the reception was nice and courteous and told us a seat would be available soon. We waited for about 15 minutes at the downstairs lobby before being shown upstairs, and then another 10 minutes wait at the bench upstairs before being given a seat. I immediately went for a bowl of lukewarm clam soup and that was it, NO MORE!!! The rest of my family didnt have any soup at all. Same went for the glass noodle, only a small portion, not enough for one person, was remaining. The rest of the cooked food were all leftover, and lukewarm too. For the raw meat, there were just about 15 pieces of shrimps and a little chicken bits left for our family of 5 to share. They would not replenish anything at all, after we took away the last of the shrimps and chicken bits. We were given a pretty good size table, but the bbq pit was too small for the whole family to grill our meat. Then at about 9:45pm, the waiter came to tell us that they were closing their salad bar. 5 minutes later, they came to tell us they were closing their center cooked food section. Another 5 minutes or so later, they simply removed all their raw meat, while we were still grilling and eating our food! There was just one tiny bbq pit for the 5 of us to share, and grilling meat takes time! We cant hurry even if we wanted to! Not only that, they didnt provide any extra napkins that we need, or refill our water. At this point, we were so dissatisfied, we didnt bother to ask for water or napkins. The waiter and waitresses were just too busy cleaning and closing the store, instead of serving us. WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN, FOR SURE!!!

Its been a year that I moved from California to Texas. Since I learned that Texas dont offer too many things to do, and no place to go nearby besides common museums, Texas Fair, and or zoo, eating and shopping became one of daily life routine courses for those who seek to be a "Texan." Since I am a "X" generation who grewup and loved to eat Korean Cuisine, I didnt mind to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles for best Korean restaurant experience in every 6 weeks before I moved Texas. Meanwhile exploring the Dallas area, I found this amazing place (Sura) about 5 months ago, Id been observed the restaurant very carefully. Of course, my grading scales included the taste, reasonable price, staff serving behaviors, menu offerering, cleanness, and lastly environmental factor or interior design. Believe or not, most of other restaurants couldnt fulfill either one of my strict 6 criterias but this "Sura" restaurant for last 5 months experiences, I wouldnt hesitate to give 5 stars. Sura is not fancy modern appearance look as a new "Zen" restaurant in Carrollton nor new face like "Royal Palace" in Dallas, but still, Sura restaurant offers plenty of comfortable seats, descent environment, amazing price and portion sizes, plenty of menu options for those who is first timer who seek for authentic taste. Lastly, Sura offers All you can eat BBQ with super reasonable price compared to meat selection and quality, and normal regular Korean Cuisine menu with few Japanese sushi menu added. If you have not tried Sura yet, how about today?

This is my number one favorite restaurant period! We live in Arlington and drive out here at least once a week. Its essentially an all you can eat korean steak buffet that you cook yourself, the food amazing, and they have lots of side items. Its definitely not your typical americanized buffet so dont expect any American food except for sometimes they have french fries and chicken which in my opinion is lame but the US is full of picky people who are too scared of trying new things and unfortunately miss out on great food like this. (Note: I am an American, thank God my dad didnt allow me to be picky!) The service here is usually good but sometimes its extremely packed so it can be a bit of a wait for help, although most of the tables have a help button you can press and your waiter will come to you quickly. If you like steak, then this is the place to be. And unlike places like omi, you can get your own meat and sides plus the meat is whole and not cut into pieces which makes it more flavorful. So go outside your comfort zone and try something new for a change, at this place you definitely wont regret it! P.S. when you go inside, make sure you go up the stairs, the buffet is on the second floor, alacarte is downstairs.

This place greeted me with an unfriendly face from the reception at the time when I came in. I consoled to myself "its alright maybe they dont have a good day" but things got worse when we sit down to the end. First, we never got the menus which is very odd because we didnt know what to do, I noticed the next table people went to get food, I assumed this was a buffer restaurant. I chased to the manager to ask and he said that I had to walk upstairs to bring food down to the table (Damn). I did that and the servers passed by asking for the drinks. Since that, nobody came to ask us anything and we had to call them when we need sause, kimchi or water. They were so busy I understand but they did spend sometimes on the tables around my (I wondered what I did wrong) and I noticed I was the only one is not Korean here. I feel so bad and never want to go back here for sure. I love Korean good but Korean people make me feel disguised. Not even want to mention them any more. Disappointed. (sign)

This place makes me feel like Im in 1950s Korea, every man for himself. First of all I have get to all the food myself and Im American not Korean so I dont know which meat is which. If all I know it couldve been North Korean. What was unfortunate was the "meat" was housed in poor shanty like containers susceptible to open air bacterium. Our server did not speak English, could not understand what he was saying. And then they proceeded to charge me $2 for a CAN of Sprite which I had to pour myself ugh. Let me add I felt like I was in Pyongyang because Sura is located in the hood.

This was my first experience with a Korean BBQ place, and overall I enjoyed it. The buffet is a novelty; cooking your own food sure is a fun twist. Good selection of meats, but I wish they had noodles, because otherwise its pretty much just meat. Pretty expensive too. I know its all you can eat, but $18 for lunch (especially having to cook the food yourself) is a little pricey for me. Overall good place. Beware: there is a $10 charge for not finishing your meat. We didnt have that problem, but make sure to keep that in mind when you get your portions.
