This is my favorite historical bar in Dallas and has been around for more than 30 years, it has low lighting, because that makes it have a bar atmosphere all day long (this is not chuck e. cheese (last comment was made by a ditsy person that doesnt resepect history)), it is a bar and the lighting is low, so when you go in at 2:PM, and come out at 2:AM you dont notice the change from night to day. HOWEVER, it is a restaurant with restaurant seating, a throwback to a golden age, and a place that others aspire to be, but cant catch the uniquiness that is gained only in years and history, basically it is like Dallas version of the old Brown Derby, or other famous places that do not exist; but this one is still here! If you like real places that have a REAL, and not cookie cutter feel, you will love Humperdinks on Greenville. IT IS NOT A DIVE BAR (dont be mistaken, a lot of high class people come to mix with salt of the earth workers a place for Mazdas and Mercedes) it is a restaurant that feels lived in, and REAL. When you go to Fridays and they have all that old crap on the walls, they are trying to copy what this place is!!! This is a favorite in hangout of Mark Cuban, and he has a special booth, closest to the bar, and nearest to the kitchen, due to the air flow from the AC. I have been going to this place for years, and it is also a favorite hangout for other servers of nearby bars and restaurants to go to after work. I love the beer, the Buttface Brewery IS FOR LOVERS OF HANDCRAFTED BEER THE WORLD OVER!!! They brew on site, and it is great and fresh beer, sometimes you are lucky to be the first to drink from a newly opened keg (the freshest beer you will ever drink) The service has always been great and the staff stays around so long you get to know each and everyone of them if you go there often enough. IF YOU WANT a real experience with history, and LOVE quality beer; this place is for you! If you like COOKIE CUTTER places, and warm bud light, served by people that cant drink, go somewhere else (cough, cough, buffalo wildwings)... THIS PLACE IS GREAT, it is the type of place Toby Keith sung about when he sang I LOVE THIS BAR, except a bit classier than in the song, and NOT a country bar, just a great place for great beer, great friends, great service, and great food!

Its not the greatest place, but a damned site far from the worst. It seems to me they are trying to be a notch better than Chilis, and thats fine. When they can actually do it, because they are quite inconsistent. You can go in one day, and the food is very decent (almost good), and the next time you go it is just half-assed. Id be inclined to give them a better rating if they would just try to have consistent quality in their meals. Seriously, its a gamble as to if my All American Club sammich will be worth a damn or not. The same goes for the service. Sometimes the servers are on top of their game, attentive, constantly checking on their guests. Other times they dont seem to care at all. I get it, we all have bad days, but youre an adult, once you clock in to work, its the best day of your life and you are happy to see and help your customers. Clock out, then go back to being surly. And for Gods sake, put the phone up. That Facebook update or text can wait. L-O-L (sarcasm) The owner needs to be stop being a cheapskate and get Coca Cola products back in there. Or better yet, have a full on coke (soda, not nose candy) bar in there. All those beers, and only a half dozen sodas. Theres a lot of potential there, but it seems to be wasted. The things that made that place great are gone, and nobody seems wise enough to bring them back. But what the hell do I know? I only ate there once a week, occasionally twice, for 6 years. I have been since March of 2014. Theres a reason.

My family & I have been dining at Humperdinks for over a decade and the service and food are always excellent! There are a kajillion TVs here, so you can watch just about any sports game you like! On this visit, I had the Chicken Quesadilla, one of my favorites. Perfectly made, served with pico de gallo, salsa, and sour cream on the side. Yummy! My drink of choice is always Humperdinks own craft beer IPA. Still one of my favorite IPAs. Other family members had the 12oz steak with baked potato, the Build-Your-Own burger with Humps freshly made fries, the Ranch Chicken Salad, and the sliced beef sandwich. Everyone said their food was excellent! The only complaint was the Oktoberfest beer. My partner said it definitely was not a German Oktoberfest brew, too dark and overly malty, much more a bock style beer. He has recently moved back to the US after living in Germany for the past 30 years. After tasting, I had to agree, it tasted more like a bock. Otherwise, kudos to Humperdinks for another fun, satisfying evening!

I am a very loyal customer at Humperdinks. During my pregancy my boyfriend and I have order almost everyday. We order all the time if not every other day. These last couple of days have not been very pleasurable. I always order the Loaded Cheese tried with no jalapenos and extra chives with an order of Bonelss BBQ Wingd. My boyfriend is allergic to jalapones. The issue is they have continued to put jalapones on the his fries and what seems like 10 chives. We also ask for extra chives but rarely get those. Since we use Grubhub to order by the time we get the food we are to tired to wait for a corrected order. We give them chance after chance with hopes it would be right the next time. If I have to pay for my chives or to get them to hold the jalapenos I will. But this is a huge disappointments. I expect better from Humps its not a bad spot.

Well we went twice this past weekend. The food was outstanding, and for a family of six with drinks and all $133.00 was fine. The first night we went the waitress we had was on top of her game and I wish we would have given her a bigger tip. Now the second night by the time we got there as the dining room was closing so we had to sit in the bar area. Once again the food was good but the waitress was horrible. She acted like we were wasting her time. She threw the drinks down on the table and leaned over my daughter to hand me my drink. Then she criticized my daughter’s choice on how they wanted their steaks done. When it was time to go we gave her a $3.00 tip I really thought that was too much but… When she seen her tip she literally ran out of the restaurant to say (THANK YOU). I hope we will never get her again.

"Short shorts were God awful"? Really? Jealousy is a bitter maiden. Next time you waste everyones time with a review, leave the non-relevant cattiness out. The place is the bomb. Love the atmosphere, took business clients (the owners) here because THEY recommended it. If youre not down to earth (no matter how much you make), youre probably not going to like this place. The country club will probably be happy to serve up some tuna tartar for you with lemongrass and cucumber water for $50. Hurry over before your discount membership expires.
