Let me start with the good stuff first. As a matter of fact, this place has got good food especially their trademark tilapia fish.If you put that aside then there almost nothing else to write home about this place in a positive sense. First went to this place about two years ago being a newly arrived African immigrant, I was looking for a place where I can find good food. The thing that first onestruck me when I got there was how shabby it was. Halve finished food lay on almost 1/4 of available space left by previous customers, no one bothering to clear them. That is just the tip of the iceberg, the real deal was the customer service. Back then I though it was bad even by African standards, but when I went back a few weeks ago, it had gone from bad to worse. There was one dude there who very obviously knows nothing about how to behave when dealing with people. First, when I called on the phone to place my order, the first thing that he could say was, "yes what do you want!!" When I came in to collect my order this same dude was at the counter loudly a rudely cursing a customer untill other customers had to intervene. Then he arrogantly told me my order, which I placed about an hour ago was about 45 minutes away from being ready; and when I very politely voiced my concern about the delay, he loudly told me to leave or wait and stop complaining because he had other important things to do!!

I used to go through Dallas every week. The fish is a must have!!! Now if you do not like spicy (and I mean SPICY) food, this is not the restaurant for you. I had fufu for the first time which I fell in love with. I had the edikang ikong, which is greens with different meats. The spice was in the middle if that makes sense. I also had the goat meat stew which is sooo good. Of course they serve plantains. I dip mine in that pepper sauce they have on the side for the fish lol. The non-alcoholic drinks they have is soda. But I brought my own water-not a soda fan. So, yeah, if you ever in the D/FW area, go go go!!! For the truckers, bobtail only. If you cant bobtail park across the street in a parking lot. But I suggest if you park there get it to go. Happy trails:)

Very limited menu. Nothing vegetarian or vegan. We thought we were getting plantains with one of our meals and did not. We were also told that parfait spinach could be made without beef, chicken, or fish. We thought - perfect. However, it came with very obvious beef. Waiter took it back and brought it again with less meat but still pieces of meat. It remained uneaten and the waiter would not remove it from the bill. Except for not including the plantains, the baked fish was very good. Unfortunately, it did not make up for our other disappointments.

I had not eaten fish in over 18yrs and I have never like plantains. My boss got us lunch one day and I was starved The fish was very spicy so I said I dont like plantains but I will use it like a bread with the fish. I have been in love with it every since. It is a 30 minute ride for me but I often send my hubby on the weekends to get me a plate. I think i have worn everyone in the office out on Aggies!! Guess whats for lunch today! I have tried several other menu items and like them all but the Tilapia and plantains are my favorite!

Delicious Tilapia, done exactly the way I like it. All what I left on my plate was the skeletal bones of the Tilapia...lolol. My wife was surprise to see the before and after job I did on my plate.. I did extreme justice to the fish. The spice was just out of this world. My only recommendation would be for that particular dish to include a small serving of vegetables like broccoli, squash and carrot mix. That will complement the fish and the rice or plantain. I will definitely return for more...

I enjoy the fish, its the only thing we ever get... lol we take a 40 minute drive no traffic to get it, but beware it is SPICY... if you do not like spicy food, call in advance to get it made without the spice because it take 40 minutes if not. Good friendly service that keeps my girl and I coming back... I even keep business cards in my phone case to tell people to go try the fish... the fish is one ugly character butt hella good hahahaha

OMG the food was delicious. we had several items off the menu. my favorite was the baked fish with plantins and a side dish of fried rice. service has good, we arrived with a party of 10 received great service for only two ppl running the resturant. definitely making this restaurant a to go spot when family is in town.

Came with with some of my friends who wanted to try African/Nigerian food. We ordered the goat stew with white rice, the specialty tilapia w/ plantain and the egusi soup with pounded yam. Everything was absolutely delicious and we plan to return in the future for sure. The pounded yam was one of the smoothest fufu my hands have ever palpated. The goat meat is a must try for those that have not had goat before.

This is the best grilled fish Ive ever had. I literally just crave this fish all the time. The plantain is cut like fries which is weird. Its dodo, Id love to see it in a dodo shape. The plantain does taste great though. The sauce is actually what makes this fish impeccable.

Love to get the fish and rice. I literally drive about 40minutes just to get the fish and rice. The people have wonderful service and there is hardly ever a wait time and if so its not that long. I am in love with this place. Hands down, my favorite african spot. lol

My first time going, I wasnt impressed. My fish wasnt cooker all the way and over spicy. Its different, fish comes with plantains but not rice. Once my fish was re-cooked and rice was added. It was enjoyable. Nice place to just hang out and watch TV while u eat.

The food is really good. The selection is limited but if you want a little taste of the African experience then I recommend it. Go with cash if you can. The machine was broke when I was there. Also try the fish and plantains. Its the most popular on the menu

I bought two baked fishes here and it was poisonous and it causes me and my family migraine, stomach bite, loss stool and pink eyes and when I call the manager,I was humiliated and embarrassed by his rudeness. Dont eat anything there she cook poisonous food.

I just hope they will get better someday. The service is always terrible but the fish is good that is why most people kept going back. This is the only that I know that will place your food on the table while you are not in sitting and without covering it.

The fufu taste like mash potatoes, the eggussi and beef stew was good, no goat meat, and the customer service is lacking. Good prices $12 a plate, they dont serve alcohol even though its listed on the menu. Overall ok place to eat nothing special.
