Please stay away from this horrible place. The food is typical street food, the service is at most mediocre and the portions they serve are so little, you have to buy desert, candies or something to feel totally full. Tonight I ordered carne asada to go, when I got home (I live right behind the restaurant) it was so cold, I felt they had given me a leftover from another customer. On top of that, they did not put guacamole as stated in the menu. I called back and they offered to refund my money. Only because I was really starving to death, literally, I opted to warm it up at home and eat it. This is not the first time I have issues with this thing called restaurant, but it will certainly be the last.

It was okay. The price was very good for the amount of food you get and the appetizer we had was delicious (started with an X), but the salsa verde tasted very sour like vinegar (I prefer mine not to be acidic but have a nice tomatillo flavor), and the beans seemed old (tasted off, smelled off, texture was off, was dry and cracky on top, not nice and creamy looking). Rice was fine, chips didnt seem like anything special (were thin and very oily), salsa was okay (watery, no tomato chunks, cilantro, diced onion, or anything). If I wanted some cheap texmex close by I would go again.

This restaurant has been there for many years. I no longer live in Dallas, but will make an effort to eat there when I am in town. Their food is top notch, and I especially like their chicken-stuffed jalapenos and steak fajita quesadillas. These are two of their own original items. I deducted one star for their service, which is nothing special. The wait staff is somewhat indifferent to customers, and it has always been that way on my visits over the last 25+ years. But dont go for the service - go for the food!

My wife and I come here at least once week due to the proximity of it being to our house. It is a good atmosphere and the food overall is very good. They could use one more waiter/waitress but not to bad. Pros: Food is Very Good, Price is Very Reasonable, Staff is Friendly, Quiet, Food is Hot. Cons: Slow on Service - Not intolerable, Warm in Restaurant - I like AC a bit warm for me 78-80 degrees, May have to wait a minute to payout check.

If I could leave less than a star I would considering the fact the food is bland, overpriced, and horribly cooked. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone especially if you are of Mexican heritage due to the embarrassing food and a poor representation of Mexican food overall. On another note the service is horrendous and the family friendly restaurant they claim to have just isnt there. They will not see me eating here ever again.

Tried to have a family get together tonight but the service was so slow. It took almost 10 minutes to get our drink order. After another 20 minutes, still no waitress. We come to find out they only have one waitress on staff on a Saturday night. What?!?! We immediately paid for our drinks and left. We used to come here years ago with great experience. So sad it has declined. Will not be making the trip out again.

This place sucks salsa is weird I asked for cheese enchiladas I got chicken in chunks also order a chimichanga it didnt come with bell pepper so I sent it back and told the lady the menu says it comes with bell pepper so she made me new one it was made so freaking fast I am pretty sure its the chicken I had on my plate before so the lady make me new one with bell pepper not cooked and threw it in there it awful

The food was not as good as it used to be. Wow!!! and now they charge for the corn tortillas I think that is ridiculous... I went on Wednesday Special which is over priced. Their Wednesday Special is priced more than El fenix. At El fenix you can eat all the tortillas you want and theres no charge...El fenix is a chain restaurant and this just a neighborhood restaurant...I probably want be going back.

This place is amazing. I go here often after church with my brother and my grandmother. I feel in love with their chimichangas. They are very nice and well mannered staff. They cater to your needs as a customer and its a very nice, quiet, and subtle environment if youre looking for an enjoyable place with authentic Mexican food. Always a star in my book.

I am a regular at Casa Cavazos. Food is great. My favorite are the Quesadillas Primaveras. Quiet atmosphere. I came here a lot with my newborn. I didnt have to worry about him waking up while we ate. Never a wait to be seated. Staff is super quiet. I dont know why some would say they are rude. As long as I get my food and my check I am good. Recommend.

Not so friendly staff, slow service, bland and overpriced food. Food is far from being authentic Mexican dishes, but more of a Tex-Mex vibe which accounts for the large amount of glowing reviews of "best" food. Nope, better option is down the street, Los Arcos De Jalisco, at least staff is friendlier and food is authentic and tasteful.

Tacos were good; however, the cheese & onion enchiladas had damn near no cheese (one little strip that looked like it had been sliced off a wedge) and even fewer onions... a couple of specks, thats all. The salsa was spicy but didnt have much flavor and it was too watery. Scratch this one off the list.

Fine Mexican Dining at its best. I and the wife have eaten here since we were children! Family owned and run with pride. Excellent food and service. nice place for the romantic diner or the after church meal.

The food was good today. I have been going here for 40 years. The service has been up and down for the last 20 years. They only had one waitress, but she was great and worked hard to get our order out quickly.

Been coming here for nearly 20 yrs., but lately food quality seems to be slipping. Especially the flan, burnt Carmel and overcooked custard. Our favorite waitress, Thelma is always AMAZING!!!!
