Good: The food was wonderful and very tons of it.O.o mind blowing on the size of the chicken breast most places over cook there chicken & shrinks they still change u alout for there tiny pieces.The sizes where overflowing form the to go boxes but not in a messy way& veggies they service are very fresh.And very sweet staff the cornbread was bigger then my hand and a amazingly sweet &fluffy. BAD:the biskets where a tad cold , the fish was sadly genaric and not worth it at all was expecting a fish size fila not a square thing u get at a cafatira a school,Mac n cheese smig to salty for my liking,the tea was not that sweet and had a bit of bitter after taste. Also kinda pricey for it kinda .Had to do a double take on what the casher toal me what was my total. But they do make all there stuff form scratch as far as I know so go to give them the extra$$ that for labor. Would I visit agen? YES but probably would get a box of chicken n one side few pieces of cornbread instead of let everyone pic whatever which probably why coust abit more.

I have eaten at The Chicken Shack for a very long time, even when it was on Leopard, close to Port, & Ive lived in Calallen a very long time & thoroughly enjoyed eating there. I was super excited to find out they were opening one on the southside, cuz I moved over there resently. But when I got there & found out that they only have tenders, what the heck is that about? The chicken shack has always been known for their reg. fried chicken & gizzards. I was really disappointed & then there were their prices!! Wow, what has happened to original Chicken Shack? So very disappointed!!!

Chicken shack has been my favorite restaurant in Corpus Christi. I have travelled here from the south side just to have their wonderful chicken, amazing sides, and delicious desserts. I am thrilled that they now have a place on the south side. The owners also take special pride in their business, and can often be seen working right along with their employees.

Best chicken strips in town. Hands down. Friendly service. Family owned and operated. Great pies and veggies to go with your meal. Tried both locations. Cant go wrong with this place if your a chicken lover. Mr. B. dont let that dumpster service push you around. I went through the same thing Automatically renewed contract. Keep up the baracade

I do not live in the area, but happy to make the drive out for some GREAT home style cooking! There is not a "chicken" place that can come close to the Chicken Shack. Never had a bad meal...EVER! Consistantly good food, courteous service, and clean dining experience. Our #1 spot for good chicken...etc. Did I mention their pies? YUM <><

We love this place and come here probably once a month. The staff is super friendly and down to earth! The food is terrific! The fried tenders are my favorite. We brought our daughter here on her 3rd birthday and the staff brought her a piece of pie (for no charge!) and sang to her. The apple pie is phenomenal.

I LOVE the Chicken Shack! The chicken tenders here are unlike any other youll find in Texas. Large, juicy, and fried to perfection, the chicken strips here always take center stage in any meal. The staff are extremely attentive and very kind, and the establishment is always kept very clean and tidy.
