Wish we could visit her more often. We started with the Spring Rolls & smiled as we dug in. They are so good with a little of the Duck Sauce. We had just enough time to enjoy those before our main dishes were delivered. I had the Szechuan Chicken & my husband had Beef with Mushrooms. Both were well seasoned & delicious. Our 9 year old shared with us & he had great things to say about both. Hes a lot more poetic than I am when he gives his opinion of foods. Maybe I should let him write these reviews. We used to go to another restaurant owned by the same lady but she has since sold it & the new owners sadly made changes that were not for the better. So we are going to drive the extra 10ish miles here from now on. It is very much worth it. If you stop in tell them Joe & Patti recommended them. You wont be disappointed. My only nit is that they dont have egg rolls. As much as I like spring rolls I miss the earthiness of egg rolls with hot mustard.

I reserved a Peking duck dinner for my moms birthday. We ordered several other dishes as well. The duck was first served and we all felt something was wrong about it. The wing/leg served was over cooked, we couldnt even bite anything off. The waiter cut the meat in front of the table but it was so hard for him to do it even with a knife. After we left, we talked about why the meat was over cooked. The first theory we came up with, is that some one reserved duck days ago or weeks ago, but didnt show up. So when we reserve the duck, they simply took the same cooked duck from the fridge and cooked it again. The second theory is that they just dont know how to cook a duck. In this case, they had better pull this dish off their chefs special. Considering the $32 cost for the duck, this meal is really not worth it. This duck ruined everything for my moms birthday.

I had high hopes considering the atmosphere and location. I was sadly mistaken. My waiter was prompt and courteous. The egg drop soup was hot and tasted great. I ordered the chicken with chinese veggies. I asked for it hot (spicy) and to add water chestnuts. The waiter said there are no water chestnuts. Really? Chinese American? Food came to the table hot, but that was it. Bland. Boring. The chicken tasted like it was steamed in a separate container. The temperature of the center of the chicken was inconsistent with the rest of the dish. What looked like fried rice was brown, tasteless rice served with an ice cram scooper. The waiter suggested I try something deep fried instead...(?) The eggroll was just as bland as the rest of it although it was glistening with oil. A waste of $15 and a perfectly good lunch hour. I will not return.

Fantastic Hunan cuisine in a relaxing, upscale, pleasant atmosphere. The waiter recognized my husband from many years back, and he provided top notch wait service, always anticipating our needs. The owner was kind and understanding when our baby started to cry, assuring us we did not need to step out-- a family friendly atmosphere. The food was fresh and flavorful. The beef was very tender. The crab puffs were the best I have ever had (and Ive tried hundreds as one of my favorite foods). Im so glad to have finally found a traditional Chinese restaurant that provides fresh food here in the Woodlands. We WILL be back... again, and again. Thank you!

We visited the Red Phoenix for the first time this evening. The staff is so friendly and greeted right away. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated. When our meals came, we automatically knew we would need a to go box. Both of our dishes were fantastic. We definitely recommend them and will be back soon.

Amazing food, good quality service, and a nice looking place. The wonton soup is very pure and clean, and leaves a really good taste in your mouth, followed with the general tsos chicken which is given in great portions and served with a really good sauce. Place has always been good.

We have been looking for good Chinese food out here in the far North of Houston, the Woodlands area and this is it. We had a great dinner, good food, good service, the best of all worlds, not to high priced. Cant go wrong here. I would come back for lunch and dinners anytime.

Ive eaten at a lot of Chineese reteraunts and this one BY-FAR took the gold. No its not a buffet like China Bear or Woodlands house, but, I will say food is delicious and portions are worth the price. The wonton soup is actually the best Ive ever had undoubtably.

Large portions, pretty indoor ambience and fabulous service. After leaving the Ren Faire my party of 4 came in and was promptly served and seated. Good AC and reasonably priced for people who just spent all their money on corsets. Leftovers were terrific

I love to go here for lunch. The service is great and they have reasonable lunch specials. The food is also really great... It is kind of hidden back behind the hustle and bustle of 242, but worth the search...

I have tried so many different chinese food places, and nobodys food comes close to Red Pheonix. It is kind of pricey but definitely worth it. Huge portions and great food. Also the staff is extremely nice.

I always go to Red Phoenix for Chinese. The last time I went I noticed their prices went up and they stopped serving soup and egg rolls with their lunch menu. Thats a big no no.

This used to be my favorite restaurant but they obviously raised their prices. Fine, but why did you take the soup off the lunch menu?

They have raised their prices and dropped soup from the lunch specials. $24.00 for a couple having lunch is not much of a value.

Went in and noticed the kids meals were garbage food and the regular meals are 15.95 a person. We walked out.
