Great burgers to go! First the bad... The place feels dirty. Mostly because it is. Some paint and a little refreshing of the place wouldnt hurt. They dont deliver. There has been a sign on the door for years now saying that they have stopped delivering until further notice. IE: never apparently. This is unfortunate, I would order from them constantly if they would. And Im sure Im not alone. Now for the good: Burgers are nothing short of awesome. You can find most any combination to suite your tastes. The burgers are large and very satisfying. If you are watching your carb intake, they will happily serve you a bunless burger on a bed of lettuce, onions, pickles and tomato. I top mine with a smear of mayo and mustard for a sauce. Their cooking method is smash burger. My only complaint is that some of the cooks dont understand that you cant smash the burger again after 30 seconds of cooking. Doing so presses the tasty juices from the patty making a drier burger. The hamburger seasoning is top notch. Its applied to the outside of the patty only. Its absolutely perfect. As long as you dont get a smash happy cook, these burgers are second to none. The offerings include more than burgers, but the burgers are certainly the super star here. The sides are great as well. They offer fries in regular and sweet potato. Both are outstanding. The chili cheese fries are addictive. The chili doesnt over power the frys and allows you to taste both with the cheese. Simply perfect. The quality seems to be about equal across different locations. The price is the same as your local fast food hamburger joints but a much better burger for the money.

Came in the place was empty. Little divey looking compared to other Burger Island locations. Looked old. Tables were dirty even though no one was there. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich and was told they were out of steak. I ordered the guacamole burger instead and got.....a Philly cheese burger. Great compromise as it was delicious but not what I ordered. I ordered regular fries instead of seasoned for my son and got seasoned anyway. They said theyd correct but after 8 minutes waiting (no one was there remember) my son ate the seasoned. We never got the regular ones. Speaking of fries, they are home made. Soft and limpy but really good if you like this kind of fry. Other patrons finally came in to pick up called in orders and one wasnt ready. One was cold. One eat in group of 4 who was there for the first time had to make revisions at the counter for their order 3 times because they were out of things they wanted. Two of the group left frustrated and two stayed. When they received their order it was wrong. Instead of a turkey burger one lady received beef. When she attempted to get the order corrected she was told that they were out of turkey. She cancelled her order and got a refund. The other lady seemed pleased with her nachos. I can understand why this place was empty. Its a shame too because theyre located directly across from the trampoline park full of possible customers. The burgers are huge and really tastey but this locations customer service seems lazy. Friendly but lazy. Ill stick to the Carrollton location if Im ever back in that neck of the woods.

First, let me start by saying I have been enjoying the Richardson and Garland locations for years. There is something seriously wrong with this location. To begin, we were calling repeatedly for 15 minutes, only to be answered by fax. We sent in our order by fax, and spent another 10 minutes calling to confirm the order. When I finally got through, the girl kept reading off the burger island phone number asking if it was my number. It took three times of me saying that was her number. She said it would be delivered in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, another girl calls me back to tell me they are out of fries, and wants to know if two of the sandwiches ordered should be hot or cold. Another 30 minutes later (Hour and a half into it) the food arrives. Its pretty difficult to mess up a burger, and luckily they managed that much, but the grilled chicken salad was downright disgusting. There was so much grease on the chicken the dressing wasn’t able to stick to the lettuce, and for the cheese they took the regular processed orange squares used for their lower-end burgers, cut it in half and placed it on the hot greasy chicken, which caused it to melt in greasy clumps and then re-harden into shapes by the time it was delivered. Don’t waste your money, its worth driving to one of the other locations.

I hate this place at night specially if its atleast an hr from closing time, several times I have called around this time 8pm-8:30 & have been here right before 9 so I know the closing time is at 9. So I called at 8:30 to place a couple of orders for my family & a girl answer & said it was closed. I told her that on the website it showed the closing time was at 9 she replied she didnt have any control on what the site says! I said ok so we went for food elsewhere & since we literally live right accross from this burger island I just wanted to pass by & see if the girl was lying & so yes exactly at 8:53 we pass & from the outside we saw all chairs up on the tables, lights still on with a HUGE OPEN SIGN & a guy cooking (possibly food for themselves) at least if this location is going to change their hrs they should turn off the Open sign at 8 & not 9! Im sure the owners know nothing about what these employees are doing to their business! They are lossing out on money bc of these lazy ppl who have no customer service! Bad bad business! & I can see Im not the first customer they do this to by seeing the reviews on here. I have been coming to this place since it opened & I love the food just not this lazy employees❗️

I have had a lot of people hall me off to places like Braums and Mooyah describing them as the best burgers they ever had. That is why when they excitedly dragged me to Burger Island my expectations were not that high. They had a little Hispanic chick working the counter and I thought this is not a good sign she is so petite that she must not like the burgers. Good looking little girl though. She was tiny but curvy in the right places which I say adds to the experience. I got the big Island combo not knowing that the fries were something to be treasured too. Thank goodness, they have those huge cups that they let you fill up yourself and an abundance of lemon wedges. I am so obese that half way thru my burger I started to feel depressed because I knew that it would be soon gone.

Very Poor customer service, I arrived 30 minutes prior to their supposed closing time as it is stated on their front door and online listings (9:00pm). All I wanted to do was order some food to go so as not to inconvenience them on having to wait on a patron to finish dining to close. They told me the establishment was closed even though the door was unlocked and their open sign was on. The employees were cleaning and did not want to bother with another customer. I left and while I was in the parking lot getting ready to leave they locked up and turned off the sign, again well before their supposed closing time. A few other patrons arrived only to be met with the same disappointment. Do not eat at this dive, they have much nicer locations with a much better staff.
