DO NOT COME HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! We came on a Sunday after reading reviews on Yelp and Google; according to them, it is above average. We ordered Combination Lo Mein, Kung Pao Combination, Orange Chicken, sweet and sour pork, and sticky rice. The food arrived and it looked unappealing, and after tasting it, I wanted to throw up. It left an after taste that I cant describe. I called the waiter and asked him if the food was freshly cooked, and his answer was yes. I told him we were not going to eat the food because it was old and didnt taste good and asked for a reasonable price to pay (on top of the horrible after taste and bad experience ). I really think I should get paid for risking myself to eat this stuff. THE Chicken lo mein had old noodles, the pork was re fried from other times, the Kung Pao tasted like sewer and the sticky rice was old and nasty. The person in charge came, he said their food is good and said it is not his fault we didnt like the food. They discounted $20 dollars of the $50 dollar ticket. We did not consume more than 10% of what we ordered. We should have just paid for the drinks. We walked away and went for freshly cooked burgers at 5 Guys. Twin Lions do not have pride in what they do, they are not responsible for their cooking and it is a disgrace to Chinese cuisine. Again, you have been warned, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND ABSTAIN FROM COMING HERE!

Do you want tasteless, unappetizing looking food? Then this is the place to be. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Pork. There was NO spice, NO garlic and barely any pork which was a good thing because it did not have any taste. It was all one color and tasted like NOTHING!!!!!! One bite was all I could gag down. Even the egg drop soup had no flavor. How do they do that? Nasty, cheap food! DO NOT GO HERE! The waiter saw that I was not eating and came by to ask what was wrong. When I explained it to him, he offered me chili sauce to add flavor-------UNBELIEVEABLE! I wish I had read the terrible reviews before I came here. I wish I could have given it NO STARS! And the atmosphere is the worst. Dark and dingy. What are they hiding? My son ordered the General Tsos Chicken. He reported back the same---tasteless, unappetizing food. Even my dog is used to more flavor!

I dont know about you, but when I go to get Chinese the decor and the service are good and all, but all I really care about is what comes off the end of that chopstick !! I guarantee if you like classic chinese you will enjoy this place with its platic seat covers and all. The staff is ok, dont expect any concierge service here, the decor is classic cheesy chinese with dragons and lanterns but when the food comes its all i can notice and I would say it has been EXCELLENT 9 out of 10 times. I cant guarantee the whole menu because I am a General Taos Chicken or Orange Chicken kinda guy and those style items are da bomb. Check it out!

I have been going to Twin Lion for 25 years. I have watched their family grow and grow up. Its amazing and wonderful to see the same people there time after time. Their food is delicious, the service is excellent, the menu never changes, and i think there has only been one price increase in all these years. The Wonton Soup is the best soup I have ever had and I have tried many others at different Chinese Restaurants. The Twin Lion Fried Rice - 5 stars. Wonderful Chicken - 5 stars. Chicken and Mushrooms - 5 Stars, Appetizers - 5 Stars.

Love this place. The food is always made to order. The dinner portions are pretty large so I hope you bring your appetite with you. My favorite, Wonderful Chicken (sesame chicken), is always crispy but not dry and the sauce has a great subtle sweet and spicy flavor. The staff is VERY courteous and always attentive. Youre greated with a smile at the door and for some reason they seem to always remember your face and suggest, to you, your usual order. It has a great mom and pops feel and certainly a diamond in the rough!

Staff was friendly and punctual but the food was terrible. If you like spice in your dish this is not the Chinese place to go, much like Ive experienced at many Austin Chinese restaurants for some reason. It seems like they are pouring some premade mixture on top of the chicken, frying it for 5 minutes and serving. Kind of like Pei Wei but worse. Vegetables in dishes consist of onions, peas, and diced carrots. No sugar snap peas or even baby corn. You are also given a small cup of rice. Just rubbish food.

Being that I posted a poor review for a competing restaurant in the area, I figured I would place one on the place we have been going for some time... We always end up getting the same nice waiter... food is always good, we never do the buffet (if they even have one) ... I love their combo special with pepper steak... We eat in and order take out when we are too lazy to cook :P ... it is good quality and a good price... being that it is in a little shopping center it is a nice surprise...

I eat here often while traveling to Austin on business. When I cant decide where to go, I go here because I know the food will be awesome and the service is very friendly and prompt. My company pays the bill so I could go somewhere more expensive but you cant beat the food here. VERY FAST (in and out in less than 20 minutes in most cases). The food is ALWAYS good. Never a bad day as far as consistency goes. I cant go to Austin without eating here.

Pretty decent American Chinese food. They maybe try to get a bit too fancy with things at times. The egg drop soup, for example, contains little bits of carrots, which I thought detracted from the overall flavor. The kung pao chicken is pretty different from a typical one, and I wouldnt get it again. Loads of water chestnuts make finding the actual chicken a bit of a chore. The broccoli chicken was fine, very regular.

This restaurant is a hidden diamond. The food was delicious and the customer service was great, even though the facade dont say much. We asked for several dishes for sharing and all of them were really good, and the service was fast too. The waitress was also very friendly, and provided good recommendations for the dishes. He even offered to take a group picture from us. Definitely coming back!

Ordered take-out. Food took twice as long as they said it would. Food was edible but not tasty. Never had wontons before that didnt have cream cheese or something in them. Guess I messed up and should have to ordered the "Rangoons" otherwise you are just buying fried bread. They were very nice, to their credit. Overall Im confused how it got such a high rating. Used to much better Chinese.

Twin Lion is like Chinese comfort food for the American who has only ever eaten at American Chinese. It wont surprise you. but it will fill you up with a steaming mound of meats & broccoli with some sweet sauce. Sometimes you just really want a taste of something you remember from childhood even if it isnt great for you. Great location for lunch during the day in NW Austin, reasonable prices.
