Ive been here many times in the past two years but every time Ive been back in the past few months this Cheesecake Factory has been worse and worse until finally my visit there last week was so bad I wont go back. The place had to have been WELL over capacity as people we standing, sitting, and walking almost on top of one another-- it was very chaotic and seemed dangerous. They seemed to be moving people quickly from waiting in the lobby, which initially impressed me, but once I got to my table I understood why. My partner and I were taken to a row of 6 tiny tables wedged closely together against a very short row of bench seating. My small purse was the only amount of distance between myself and the people at the table next to me on either side-- a child was yelling and throwing crayons on one side and a man was yelling into his cell phone on the other side. The waitress for the table next to us placed their to-go box of food right next to me. Furthermore, my table was NOT clean and still had checks and dirty silverware on it....thats not just a bad-restaurant-etiquette thing, thats a disgusting, food safety hazard. After NO SERVICE for about 15 minutes, my partner and I got up and left. I will not pay an arm and a leg, no matter how fancy or good the food might be, for disgusting tables and sitting on my neighbors. I guarantee, from the looks of walking through the restaurant, that it was just as crowded everywhere else, too. This restaurant got this popular because it HAD privacy in seating and quality service, not because they over-capitalized on space with too many tables to move bodies in as quickly as they could. This restaurant used to be worth shelling out the money, but honestly I could get better, cleaner service and more room in a table or booth at a burger joint, so Ill be saving my money. As mad as I am, I am mostly disappointed more than anything, because before it went downhill it was my favorite fancy restaurant in Austin. Ive never posted a review on anything before, but people need to know to save their time and money for date night somewhere else.

We visited the Cheesecake Factory on Saturday evening, Jan 23,2916. We was at the Arbatorium location in Austin, TX We called ahead to give the restaurant a "heads up " of are large party (6 adults). The hostess asked approximately the time we would arrive and we told her between 5:45-6:00pm. We did arrive at 6pm. The hostess told us it would be 20-30 min wait. When they finally got around to seating us, they wanted to pack us into a 8 top booth that did not have any room at all. We told the hostess there was no way we would be able to sit comfortably at this booth. There were a couple of people in our party who are + size. Back at the hostess station, that hostess told another "well they will either have to take that table or wait another hour to be seated. ". There was no way we would wait another hour. We had 2 elderly ladies in our party who needed to be seated so they could eat because they were starting to feel ill. The manager came and tried to make things better but it did not happen the way he had hopped. They were seating large parties before us even though we was told we would be at the top of the list. We ended up waiting a 2 hours!!! This included finally being sat at tables and being served! No apologies or anything. This hostess staff was VERY rude and disrespectful! Although, our waitress was very nice and kind. She did her best to try and make a bad situation better. I will NOT go back to this Cheesecake Factory neither will my friends and we will make sure to tell our other friends not to go there. I refuse to go somewhere that I am treated so badly.

short version....burnt food, long wait.... Long version.... we ordered our food to go and were told 22 mins. We arrived and paid for the food and were told it would be a few more mins ( which was no problem ) Then when the server brought out our food, they set it down and then started helping other guests, whos food was not even ready, and when we tried to get our food were told to hold on and that they were helping other guests. A 22 mins wait for take out took over 40 mins. Then when we got back home, we found the potstickers to be ice cold and the Chicken Parm sandwich to be burnt and cold. We were missing the bread and butter that was supposed to be placed in as well. The next morning we called and spoke with a manger and were told that they would mail us a gift card to make things right. (honestly we just wanted to come back down there that day and have the order remade) It has been about 3 weeks now and we have still not received any gift card. A simple situation that could of been completely fixed by just offering to remake the food. We took photos of the food before we ate it the night before to show that it was in fact burnt. its kinda hard to prove cold food unless we take it back that moment, but as it was almost 10pm and we were very hungry we chose to eat said food anyway and let a manager know the next day. Instead this situation has turned into us never eating there again until this is resolved.

Call me a little biased, but I honestly think this is one of the best cheesecake factories found anywhere in the U.S. NOTE: I may not share the same oppinion now since the menu has significantly been changed for the worse (for vegetarians) since I last visited in Jan of 2013 with the removal of sweet corn fritters and stuffed mushrooms. T The service is consistently attentive, and considerate. I went on my birthday so they gave me a bday cake and sang happy bday which was rather embarassing but nice. My go to items here are the Skinlicious Veggie burger, and Thai Lettuce Wraps for appetizers. Of the cheesecakes, I definitely believe the the dulce de leche cheesecake is the absolutely the best. Other items I have tried and seen other people love are the pastas which were all of consistently great quality. I do find the eggplant sandwich and others to be specifically too huge for one person to have and impossibly difficult to split between two people. As for the location: I usually find Sunday evenings to be the best time on weekends to come here as well as later in the night like around 9pm or so. Peak times like Saturday evening can mean almost an hour wait at times because it is the only in the North Austin region.

My bae and I had a fantastic evening at the Cheesecake Factory. Our experienced server, Gabriel, promptly supplied us with frigid ice water after we waited a whole two minutes to be seated. Gabriel stayed calm and collected and appeared very knowledgeable about how items on the menu were prepared. I was very disappointed that the loaded potatoes on the snack menu were not available without bacon, but Gabriels soothing voice guided me to the stuffed mushrooms as a viable substitute. Bae ordered some exotic chicken dippers dish with cilantro sauce and that was also tasty. For dessert, Gabriel helped us narrow down our choices to the white chocolate blueberry and carrot cake cheesecakes. Both were delicious with appropriate portions. My only complaints were that our snacks and my latte were brought out by randos and not Gabriel, and also that Gabriels enthusiasm while singing "Happy Birthday" to my bae seemed to be waning at times because it was 10:30 pm. She enjoyed the miniature sundae despite being thoroughly well fed. In conclusion, Gabriel should probably get a raise and we had a delightful evening.
