What does United Airlines and Zoes kitchen have in common? No, no one got banged up and dragged out of the store, but the customer service was seriously lacking. I placed a large family meal order last Wednesday morning because I needed to feed 5 people for a staff lunch meeting the next day. 10 chicken kabobs, rice pilaf, roasted veggies, and hummus/pita. The person who took my order said it would be ready at my requested pick-up time at 11:30 am the next day. Its Thursday and I arrive at about 11:45 am to pick up; I usually come a few minutes later since restaurant pickup can run behind, I get it. The place is packed with the line out the door so Im thinking, "Damn, Im smart, I ordered a day ahead of time". Apparently, that didnt mean much since my order never got started. The cashier notifies me that my order will be ready in a few minutes and to grab a seat. Ok, that sucks, but it happens. 15 minutes goes by and Im still waiting. The line is about half of what it was when I arrived, so it seemed like people were getting their orders ahead of me. Im running late to my lunch meeting, so I check in with the cashier again. She tells me that theyre still working on it and apologizes. Im pretty pissed off at this point. Another 10 minutes goes by and the cashier comes around and says they can only do a 1/2 order of chicken since they RAN OUT OF CHICKEN. How could they be out of chicken if my order was supposed to set it aside yesterday?? The cashier offers to substitute the other 1/2 of the order with salmon. I just accepted since I needed the food now as the folks at my office were spamming my phone on the food. The cashier comes with the food about 10 minutes later and I rush out to head back to the office. I was there an extra 35+ minutes than I needed to. It doesnt end there... They call me that afternoon to tell me that I forgot to pay. Crap, I was in such a rush to get out. I call them back the next morning (Friday) to give them my credit card and to complain about the service. I ask to speak the manager and the cashier said hes busy (even though I hear him in the background), but that he would give me 20% off on my next visit. I gave the person my name and number for a callback, and have not heard from anyone since. Food wise - 4/5, good, fresh and healthy. Everyone agreed it was a solid choice, but were "hangry" by the time food arrived. Sorry Zoe, I like your food, but your service completely spoiled the experience. Not going to be ordering group orders/catering options in the future, yall lost that business. == EDIT 4/28/17 === The manager finally called me back and apologized for the mess. Because the Arboretum location is next to a hotel, they get a flood of traffic from them, which is a good and bad thing. It seemed like a lot of things went wrong at the same time. The manager comped my order and did his best to make it right. It doesnt fix the experience I had, but at least it was addressed, and I would be willing to give Zoes a second chance as the food was good. Im upping my review from 1/5 stars to 3/5 stars because of this.

I ate here 11/05/2016, 1:30PM. I ordered steak kabob. Theres no taste on their kabob as well as all the food they served with it. The steak is slightly burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. They did not ask how Id like my steak kabob and it should not automatically mean that I like them raw. The people running this restaurant during my visit looked like they didnt know what theyre doing. They do small talk as what most establishments require their employees to do but the employees here have no clue what theyre serving. I cut the small pieces of steak, returned my plate to the register and showed them the raw meat. And their reaction? Well, nothing. It seems like its another day at work for them. Im guessing these kind of complaints are normal with this restaurant. Stay out of this place. Other people rated this place with glaring reviews. I hope majority of them would be more specific about the food served on this restaurant. But if you are thinking about going to this place, just dont take the risk. Honestly, its giving Zoes kitchen a bad reputation, an awful taste in your mouth and a total waste of your money. I sincerely hope they close for the sake of the franchise.

Visited on 12/31/2016. The place looks great, and I like the service. The food is good or just-under. Overall, there wasnt anything special. Steak Kebabs felt overcooked :: steak was definitely well-done, and onions were pretty charred around the edges and had a solid caramelization on all surfaces. Chicken in Mediterranean Chicken dish was VERY tasty but was bordering on dry. Greek salad was good and in line with expectations. White Beans were no good; way too strong of a very weird flavoring. Rice Pilaf had a nice flavor but it was very weak and the dish looked like it was just plain rice that was a little off-color. The chocolate cake had a good subtle-chocolate flavor but had definitely already started drying out. Zoes Kitchen is very convenient and has great service, but the food quality just isnt there.

The food is fresh and simple. You know just what youre getting. Yesterday I thought Id caught them in a mistake but I was completely wrong! Ive been trying to eat vegan lunches and appreciated the fact that their menu indicates which items are vegetarian and which are vegan. (Very handy.) I decided on the veggie kabobs but noticed they came with a side greek salad. "Ah-ha," I thougt, "they made a mistake because the greek salad has feta cheese." I decided not to worry about it since it was busy that day, but as it turns out - on the veggie kabob plate, the greek salad really is vegan. A small thing for many people, maybe, but I was impressed that if you order a vegan meal, they automatically leave the feta off the salad. Everything was delicious. I cleaned my plate!

During Sunday church rush delicious, fast, healthy food. After church rush a few hours later lackluster. Run out of sauces, running out of a certain hummus, rice pilaf made with too much water, half staff, slow. My roasted veggies were dry and over cooked. I really love this place on Sunday just not run on Sunday. I get the staff is winding down from rush but food shouldnt suck or suffer. Wasnt the only customer complaining or waiting ridiculously long for food and its only 5 of us in the restaurant. My friends love this place on Sundays so will try again but just not this location.

We had a large lunch spread from here, and I have to say I was not very impressed. There were mostly kabobs, and sides. I grabbed a chicken kabob and some rice (I had no idea what the other sides were, since nothing was labeled). Sat down to eat and the kabob was cold. Not like sat out and cooled down cold, but it felt like it was actually chilled. I could not even stand the first bite. The rice was okay. Not warm either, though. Apparently everyone loved the veggie kabobs though. So, maybe this is just a great place for vegetarians? Definitely not for me, though.
