Ill admit that I was a skeptic but dont really know why. It seemed like a lot of hype for a burger joint. And maybe its because I dont like crowds and this place ALWAYS has a line when I am close. Even at 10 pm on a Friday... which is when I went. The line moved fairly quickly and by the time we ordered and got a table, we waited [maybe] 5-8 minutes before getting our food. It was still hot and delicious too. Was it worth the wait? Sure, but the night I went, it was apparently a short line (we were roughly 12-15 people from the door and the line continues inside). Personally, I wouldnt wait more than 30 minutes because its still just a burger and there wasnt really any big "wow" factors for me but I LOVE that the food is gathered locally. I had the Llano Poblano (Angus Beef, Pepper Jack, Roasted Poblano Chiles, Apple-Smoked Bacon, Chipotle Mayo) which was really good! I want to go back and try the Greek (Lamb, Feta Cheese, Arugula, Pickled Red Onions, Tomato, Cucumber, Tzatziki Sauce). It sounds delish! There were a couple other of interesting burger options like chicken and tuna. I must add the the fries were also delicious if you like skin on your fries. A big downfall for me is that it was very noisy, like going to a crowded bar kind of noisy which just isnt my scene. My friend and I were at a small table and we still had to talk louder than you would at a typical restaurant. We might have been better off outside and talking over passing cars. Side note: get the Stout Chocolate shake. Its probably the best chocolate shake Ive ever had.

I actually love the burgers and usually have a great experience here. Last night, however, a friend and I went in, and the line was pretty long. This is usual. So instead of waiting, we squeezed in at the corner of the bar where there were two seats. The bar tender asked what we wanted to drink as he handed us two menus. My friend asked for a water and we both said we think we know what we want as far as food. He turned away and walked away. At first it seemed he was just busy and maybe didnt hear. But when he came back, he came back without the water and asked what we want to drink. I asked for a ginger lemonade and told him again that we were ready to order food. He said that you can only order food at the bar if you order drinks. So I said, "a ginger lemonade doesnt count?" He said, "no its not alcoholic," and refused us service. This definitely cant be the store policy. My buddy also said he goes all the time and orders food at the bar with his girlfriend without alcohol. We walked out of the store, and on the way out, I took a picture of the guy to send to corporate. We ate at an Italian place a couple blocks away. The crazy thing is- we probably wouldnt have even been upset if he wasnt such a jerk about it. Really disappointed this place would let a guy like that represent them. He turns away customers (that used to be regulars) at the expense of the store just so he can selfishly get more tips.

**This review from a vegetarian perspective.** My wife and I went with friends a year ago despite being herbivores. We went again when we heard a buzz about the new Impossible burger (it "bleeds" from heme). I appreciate that a joint very focused on mrat sales even has a decent option, however they are not really trying to cater to the veg community imo. They did not offer vegan cheese or sauce alternatives. So if youre avoiding dairy you also have to avoid any special flavor. The burger itself was pretty good but not $14 good. Maybe $5-7? The Beyond burger with heme is much better. Overall, a cool place to go with omnivores if you want a decent option to eat and grab a few drinks. If you want a really good veggie burger go to Arlos or Mr. Natural.

there is a lot of different kind of burgers that I didnt know what to pick because all the burgers sound really good. the truffle fries are the best the fries are crisp and not greasy. I dont think the company put truffle oil on the fries instead they use it as a sauce and that sauce was really good with the fries, the buyer I got was good I got some kind of blue cheese burger and it tasted great the cheese did not over power the burger and the bread was not too hard not too soft just right. the only thing is that the burger is a little bit greasy. I just wish I got more Items so I can describe more about the place, but overall this place was the bomb

Legit the BEST burgers. I will gladly wait in that line and pay $12 for their most expensive burger on the menu. GLADLY. I cant get enough of this place and I always recommend this place to anyone asking for a good spot to eat. Ive tried almost all the burgers on the menu and I can say with absolute confidence Ive never had a bad burger there. The fries are soooo good. If I wasnt lactose intolerant Id be drinking the queso. The margaritas are definitely worth it and the little Larry packs a punch for something so small. The Happy Hour deal Monday-Friday sweetens this place so much more~

Hopdoddy is a place people go to be seen eating there, not because its "amazing". After waiting an hour in line, I got my order and food within 10 min...fast yes, BUT my food was so bland! Besides the super buttery bun, it was just flavorless. Ive had cardboard with more flavor. The one thing that really upset me, (and is the cause for my rant) was that this place specializes in burgers, so its beyond me how my burger that I ordered medium rare, came out well done and flavorless. This place is beyond over rated. But their customer service is great.

Feel like a Gourmet Grass-Fed Burger in an Eclectic environment?!! Then this place may be for you. Their Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger is outstanding! The Truffle Fries are Great too! I like to top it all off with their deluxe handmade Sea-Salted Caramel shake! Yuuuumy! You will spend a little more for this experience and itll be worth every penny!! Go Early! Give yourself some extra time to possibly wait in a line for a bit as this establishment is P-O-P-U-L-A-R! Yes, it will be worth the wait.

Very overrated and over hyped. Fries were cold and chewy. Reminded me of those shoestring potatoes out of the can. Ordered the Goodnight burger. Came out cold just like the fries. Patty was bland, as was the onions. BBQ sauce didnt have any flavor to it, but their house "sassy sauce" was good. The bun left nothing to be desired and became soggy fast. At least the burger was juicy. Overpriced and I would only go if my friends wanted to, but I would protest it the entire way there.

Be ready to wait in line. But no worries, even if you are alone you can eventually get a drink while you wait in line. There are a good number of burger choices. Only a few are really great and worth the trip, the line, and generally dealing with people downtown. The only con is that you need to visit multiple times probably to find the burger that really suits you. Id come more often if it werent for the location and the line. Staff is friendly enough.
