When I first ate here, we all just came for the bulgogi burger. That in and of itself was awesome. Then, they came out with the SPICY BULGOGI BURGER. Thats it. Thats all you need to know about this place. Also I like the style of fries they serve and they have a cold prep bar where you can choose your own burger toppings and condiments. Last but not least, their resident artists have decorated the entire exterior and some interior with quirky, bright, and eye-catching work that pretty much screams COME EAT HERE....which I have done obligingly....multiple times. Even though they have a good amount of parking on their backside, it often is full due to how popular this place is. Not to be confused with other Burger Texs in town because theyre all individually owned and each varies. This one just simply stands out.

This establishment bills itself as the "best burger" joint in town. I gave them a try, and the bread on the bun had a fermented taste to it. They claimed that they were using fresh bread from the bakery around the corner on 29th Street, but if it looks like Wonder Bread, it probably is Wonder Bread. They get zero stars for lying to their customers. They have real aggressive and loud signs toward smokers and non-customers who park on their lot illegally. This is definitely a marketing turn off. You have the feeling that you are dealing with a North Korean hostile who may go postal on you, his wife, and his children if he really had a bad day. They get one star for some positive merit so as not to totally tick the owner off. His children are nice and friendly.

Its one of those crazy, Austin food-truck like creations. Their signature menu item here is the bulgogi burger (Korean-style beef brisket sauteed with onions) and its by far the best Ive tasted. They also offer a spicy bulgogi option, and theyll let you choose how much spice you want on it. Their sides are also pretty good as well. Id recommend the onion rings. Theres also a complimentary salad/toppings bar in the back, so if you want some lettuce or tomatoes on your burger youre free to get some.

The bulgogi burgers are so good! If youre new to Austin or wondering how a korean infused burger combination would taste then satisfy both your curiosity and hunger at the same time and head over here. They season the meat just right and the portion size is pretty decently large. Sadly theyre definitely closed on Sundays which is terrible because I almost always crave it then, so keep an eye out for the time!

At the boundary of North Campus, its one of the best places to get a taste of the korean fusion that has hit ATX. Taking a spin on a classic, the bulgogi burger (spicy or regular) is the way to go. Grab that and go light on the toppings for a burger unlike any youve had in recent memory. The fries are among the best in Austin but if you want you can substitute it for any other side.

Ive been eating here since 1996. It changes hand every few years to a different family. They all have been friendly to me. And I love my bulgogi burger. I love to pile tomatoes on it, from the condiment table. And they have a big tub of mayonnaise to put on my fries. I eat at the other Burger Tex places, but i call this one home.

I almost always get the bulgogi burger. You can get normal burgers if you/re not in an explorative mood, but if youre the least bit curious I suggest trying it. If you like spice than get the spicy bulgogi burger. The fries are also fantastic. They have this taste similar to fried wonton.

I cant really speak of the decor (its your typical low end burger joint near campus), but man I do love their burgers. This brings back a lot of college memories. Afterwards, you can hit Toy Joy next dorr. By the way, parking can be crowded during peak times.

Forget the fast food burger restaurants, just come here if you want a good burger. It is family owned not chained owned, by coming here you are supporting local businesses. The restaurant is not fancy, but it is clean and the burgers taste really good.

Stop what you are doing right now and go here for the Bulgogi burger, sort of a Korean take on the traditional burger of yore. This involves soy sauce marinated beef and veggies on a bun. It may sound a bit odd, but it is truly amazing.

The owner is absolutely hilarious! He will randomly sing to you. Their fries are delicious! And caution if you think youre going to get the spicy bulgogi burger spicy level 3! It has put my friends to tears, and they love spicy food!

Do they add crack or some other addictive drug in their prepping of the Bulgogi? AAAAMMMMAAAZZZZzzzing. Seriously, if I could afford it, I would eat one everyday. And I think I could be convinced to kill a man for their fries.

Great meat and buns. I love their fries in the dipping sauce. Watch out for the spiciest Bulgogi though! not only is it very hot, its a bit bitter and covers the great meat.

Ask for their Korean hot sauce on the side. Yum! As for atmosphere, its a little short unless youre a connoisseur of the hand-painted sign, in which case its fabulous.

I never knew about what is true burger. But they showed me well. I love their SXSW burger. This is everything and cant be compared with any other burgers. :)

Good homemade burgers. The atmosphere is fun. Make sure to order the fries without salt so you can add your own amount (if not they are kind of salty).

Great local burger joint, kind of like Fuddruckers but with a Korean flare . I think they bake their own bread. I recommend checking this place out

You HAVE to get the bulgogi burger when you go here. The fries are also nicely seasoned and crispy. A great local favorite mom and pop burger place.

The Bulgogi Burger here is worth a visit. Be sure to pass up Five Guys and stop here instead. Part of the weirdness that I love about Austin.

Straight up good burger and fries. This one is operated by different owners than the one in airport and 183...this one is the best by far.

I enjoyed the bulgogi burger I had, but I will try the spicy one the next time. The service was quick and the decor is funky.

Delicious burgers with fresh beef and a Korean Style, very much Austin, and centrally located, you will enjoy yourself.

Not quite as good as the original location, but has a much bigger dining area. Try the original or the bulgogi burger.

Perhaps the best burger place in Austin, with excellent crispy fries, homemade burger buns, and savory marinades.
