We decided to give the Studio Movie Grill a try for a date night, we read the reviews, some were good some were bad so we decided to give it a try. It had been awhile since we had a date night and thought this would be perfect for us, dinner and a movie all in the same place, brilliant! This place was far from perfect. We had gone online to see if we needed to reserve tickets so the movie wouldnt be sold out, the location stated all locations were available for the movie of our choosing so we just waited until we got there to purchase tickets. We arrived at the Arlington location and proceeded to the box office to get our movie tickets, the rude teenager proceeded to tell us the 8:00 and 9:15 show times were sold out. We got tickets for the 10:35 showing and had to wait 2 1/2 hours to view our movie. We were going to eat at the Studio Movie Grill, viewing the menu online the food didnt seem too bad, we decided to eat elsewhere while we were waiting for our movie and I am so glad we did! The food looked horrible, a greasy mess and it looked as if it were days old. People were spitting out their food even and complaining the popcorn was stale. It was time about time for our movie to begin, we headed to the theater 30 minutes before and little did we know, seats werent on a first come first serve basis, you had to reserve the good seats and theyre were only about 10 real good seats. We came out for a date night to get away from the kids, not here! There were so many kids here (around 7 years old all the way to teens) which was surprising b/c this was a rated "R" movie. They were all rude and LOUD crunching their food loud, opening their food bags right in the middle of the movie, laughing, talking throughout the movie, talking on their cell phones, cell phones were ringing, we had kids behind us commentating the whole movie "where she goin" "oooh she betta not do that!" "Oh hell naw!!!!" It was awful, we couldnt even hear half the movie b/c of people talking. We had ordered two margaritas at $10 each and they were awful! There was absolutely no alcohol in them whatsoever, and I dont drink often so I would be able to taste it, they tasted like an orange juice mixture and sugar. This place is far from a "great place" and "awesome atmosphere and food" I will never come back to this place again, Ive tried talking to someone to leave feedback so they could try to fix the problems and bring more people in, they could care less. So here I am writing a review warning mature couples in search of a nice date night to not come here, we are a young married couple (20s) not old farts, I expected much better from a place like this and its a shame it was a disappointment, I really wanted to like this place.

I used to enjoy coming to this movie grill. This time, however, was a much less than pleasant experience. I havent been in a few months and it appears that during the few months that its been since Ive been here, everything has changed. First off, the girl at the register didnt even look up to acknowledge the people in the line. When it was our turn (or anyone elses turn for that matter) she never looked up to ask if she could help the next person in line. We just had to walk up. Once we walked up to her, she didnt say a word. She didnt greet us. She didnt even look up from her screen. She waited on us to say something. She didnt ask how she could help us, what movie we wanted to see, etc. When we told her what movie we wanted to see, she still didnt say a word. She put the seating chart on the screen and we selected our seats. The first words she spoke were to tell us how much the tickets would be. Then she told us to enjoy our movie and waited for the next person to walk up (once again not asking if she could help the next person in line). Then, once in the theater, we pressed our service light to order food. It took around 10 minutes for the people to come take our order, which is way out of the ordinary. The food wasnt anywhere near as good as it normally is. Im not sure if it was the sweet tea (which tasted terrible) or the chicken pasta (which wasnt much better), but I got sick just a couple hours after Id eaten the food. To make matters even worse, I left my debit card at the theater. I didnt discover that it was missing until the following Monday. My experience just kept getting worse. Im not sure if any of you have ever tried calling the phone number listed for this movie grill, but let me tell you: good luck ever getting anyone to answer the phone. I was at work and couldnt leave to go up there to see if my card was at the theater so I decided to call instead. I left a message on the managers voicemail for a return phone call around noon. Ive attempted to call them several times since then and have still been unable to get a human being on the phone. Nobody has returned my message. This is the first Google review Ive ever written for any business. In fact, I had to create a Google+ account just to write this review. That should give you an idea about how annoyed I am by this establishment. I also noticed that several of the recent reviews are one-star reviews as well. Clearly Im not the only one that noticed the change. Im hoping when I get off work in an hour or so that nobody has gone on a shopping spree with my card after reading my fantastic review of their business. If they have, Ill be writing another review. :)

Service? NOT! I was a happy camper coming in ON MY BIRTHDAY on a week day, so it wasnt busy. I got the all you can eat pizza or whatever they had that day for I think around $10 or so.. cant remember the exact price. It came out and it was pretty small but its ok right, cuz i thought I was going to get some more right after it..NOT. Not even half way into the movie yet & I order my second pizza to be delivered..(I know its not half way into the movie yet cuz it was my second time watching the movie Tangled) waited.. reminded them..TWICE.. and then later the movie ended. I asked them again, wheres my pizza sir? (POLITE THE WHOLE TIME TILL..) Waiter: its still being made maam, itll take another 10 mins, giving me =/ that face. ME: its ok Ill wait. Thanks. 15 mins later.. Im still waiting there with my friends & I asked them once more for the 4th TIME!.. ME: So wheres my pizza sir? WAITER:Oh its still being made =/ sorry, do you still want to wait for it? ME: Yes, since Ive been waiting for it all this time (THE POINT IS TO GET THAT DAMN PIZZA! EVEN IF I THROW IT AWAY! By the way, the pizza was nasty.. And I <3 food, not just saying its nasty cuz Im mad. I was really hungry lol so I wanted a second pizza) Back to the convo. Me:Yes I wanted it of course you know. Waiter: You cant bring it home anyway since the movie ended. ME:................... WTF! This is too much BS to go on. Really Now? You couldnt tell me that before hand? .. Im only giving this place 2 stars instead of one cuz of the french fries and free movie tickets they occasional give out on facebook. If my friends werent there.. man.. I WOULD DEFINITELY GO HOME WITH A DAMN PIZZA & AN APOLOGY! it was my freaken birthday too, thanks for the bad service on my birthday. Review: (Sorry for the venting) Cons:: Well this place got like computer chairs that arent comfortable.. kind of sucks for watching movies.. I hate how the waiter/waitresses keeps moving around in front of you blocking your view and whispering all of the time cuz theyre taking orders. They have 2, but i rather go to a regular theater. The food is ok..even when youre really hungry.. its not that great..(PRO) BUT I love their french fries and sauce. Its a total different atmosphere then the what most people are use to, but try it out for yourself to experience something new. Hope I some what helped. =)
