Last weekend my husband surprised me by taking me, for the second time, to R Bar and it did not disappoint. We went out on a limb trying some items that were new and not yet added to the menu and may have ordered with our eyes that evening as we both had quite the well deserved food coma when we got home. 1st Appetizer: Jalapeno grits, scallops, and watercress. We got to admit it took a little while to figure out how to eat it--you have to mix it all together practically to bring out all the flavors. 2nd Appetizer: Mediterranean Pizza. It comes with black olives, feta cheese, tomato, oregano, capers, artichoke, and basil leaves. Friggin delicious. We felt so fancy eating it that I kinda wanted to order some wine to go with all the gourmet food on it. If you like salty flavors on a pizza then check this one out. His Entree: Chilean Sea Bass. This was my first time having sea bass and I realized I have been missing out! The sea bass was so white and juicy. And when you dip it in the buttery glaze that came with it, omg, so good. The sides of zucchini, squash, and onions were tasty too. My Entree: Drunken Chicken. I allowed my husband to nibble on my chicken and we both agree it was good too. The chicken was so soft, that it was almost falling off the bone. The hicama on the plate is served so that its almost a salad and theres quite a bit too. My Dessert: Passion Fruit Brulee. The custard was sweet, fruity and the caramel layer on top was yummy. His Dessert: Chili Peach Cobbler. Not the traditional southern cobbler youd imagine. The main difference here is the cobbler has a kick, either chili powder or a heap of cinnamon, and less crust / crumbs than a traditional cobbler. It was good, something different, but my husband ended up eating more of my dessert instead. :( The service there is awesome to boot!

Hated it!!! I arrived at 8:30PM. Made the reservation with Open Table. Was seated promptly by a pleasant young man whom was very professional. After seated I waited 10 minutes for my waitress to appear... Nothing. So I asked a passing waitress to fetch the person responsible for my area and she appeared after a few more minutes. I asked for a drink that includes a pear infused vodka only to discover they were out (It happens)... I requested another drink and looked forward to the evening. My stunning date was fashionably late and ordered a margarita when she arrived, we were informed the bar war out of Triple Sec ( hmmm, OK) So she ordered another drink and the evening started. After some time we ordered our entrees. She ordered the 18 oz. Rib-eye and was informed there were no Rib-eyes to be had. She then made a 2nd choice and was told that option wasnt available either. She SETTLED on the strip which was bland. My meal choice was readily available... COLD but available nonetheless. All in all it was a GREAT night, Unfortunately your restaurant had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with that.

Christmas 2015. We went there because it was one of the few places open on Christmas. Our reservation was for 2 pm - there were plenty of tables available. We selected the bruschetta, dinner salad, and Chilean sea bass (after determining that it was was wild caught). We split the salad and sea bass. The bruschetta was different and OK, not bad, but not outstanding. The sea bass was tasty and moist, basically well cooked, except that it was charred on both sides and the sauce over the vegetables was too sweet. Since it was Christmas, we had allowed plenty of time for the meal, but we had to wait quite a bit on service. The dessert menu didnt have anything that appealed to us. Basically, if your taste is toward the south western side and like lots of sugar and healthy nutrition is not high on your list, you would probably like it. For us, it was a letdown. One good thing, the TV sets were muted in the bar and there werent many drinkers there. The environment was far superior to the few other alternatives available, such as Lubys, IHOP, etc.

Its a restaurant at hotel... Good grief folks, dont expect anything incredible. I had lunch with a friend who was also staying at the hotel. It was a Monday so the place was pretty empty. Our server was awesome. He was attentive, polite and helpful. Remember it was a Monday at lunch so very few people there. I asked our server what his favorite menu item was and he said the prime rib sandwich so I ordered it. The sandwich came fairly quickly and looked good. Maybe its because Im from Seattle area where going out to eat is always expected to be an awesome affair but in all honestly, the prime rib wasnt very good. Very little beef but a lot of cheese. Im not slamming the place because the server was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the prices for a hotel restaurant were reasonable but in honesty..... the food was pretty mediocre. Maybe its just because Im a food slob from Seattle.

I just left the restaurant. Worst service Ive ever experienced. Our table waited an hour for salads. The tables surrounding us were dirty the entire time we were there. The waitress had no personality and the person delivering the food didnt say a word. Our waitress had just taken the check and when she arrived two minutes later, she couldnt remember who gave her the card. It was awkward, it was distasteful and just incredibly tacky. We are at Rio Mamba earlier and I wish we would have went back instead of here. Stay far away or go to Rio Mamba where you can enjoy real food and excellent service!

First time came here before grand opening and it was the bomb. Now after a couple of weeks and the food isnt up to the same standards. The menu is underdeveloped and is missing stables like mashed or pan sauteed potatoes. Also i find it a bit over price to get a steak with just french fries. Honestly I dont think it will last unless they change it up and get a better menu. Also the blonde waitress is the bomb but the other people a meh and need better training.

Not going to come back. 10 min to get water and place my order, 28 min for food to hit the table. No one checked on us, drinks sat empty, steak was over cooked, "manager" looking person said they would take care of of when we had to flag someone down for the check... and of yeah took care of nothing. 0% customer service = 0% satisfaction ... btw this place was empty for a reason..

Went to the restaurant at 11:45, we stood there for a couple minutes, no one came to wait my wife and I. Decided I would rather order the food for in-room dining. Called to order food at 11:56. Said "their system already said 12, so they are closed for the night."
